I know this very much depends on set up, how you vape, coils etc etc etc, but because I was hoping to get at least a day and a half from my new spinner 2, and that's just not happening, which device might last more than a day? For dog walking/short trips out/pocket friendly I'm happy with my little ego t 650. Small, quick charging etc, but I'd like something........that doesn't need plugging in for 6 blummin hours after less than a day. I think I'm going to get a charging bag so I can leave it overnight as long as I remember to do the half hour switch off and on thing! I'm using protank mini 2 and NV mini pro tanks (need a few more tanks as well nw I've retired the Aspire bdc ones) but would really welcome knowledge and advice on long lasting batteries. Even something that will take rechargeable batteries so I can have a charged stock waiting.

How about the MVP2? I get about 2-2 1/2 days out of mine and is fairly indestructible.

I will add do not be put off by how an MVP looks in pictures. They are a great device and not as ugly or cumbersome once it's in your hand as some photos can make it look.

MVP 2 at 2600 mah it lasts all day and night. Myepack £35-£40 depending on style you choose. Most who use separate batteries have to make do with 2000-2500 mah in things like a vamo or SVD ect. So the mvp 2 will tend to outlast even those before recharging. The other options of using separate batteries will give you a large mod if using 18650 size for 2000+mah or would be smaller using 18350 size but these batteries are only 700-800 mah so you would need to carry a few spares. Here is a pic showing the scale of these mods. The VTR is pretty compact but is one of the heaviest mods you can buy. The SVD is much taller and wont fit in a pocket ect.

If charging time is an issue you might be better off with more smaller capacity batteries (such as 18350's that mods like the Sigelei Zmax Mini use), and carrying a few spares. If you get yourself a 4 slot Nitecore charger, those smaller batteries will be ready in about 90mins. I use 800mah 18350's in my Vamo, and get through 2 a day on average. The larger the mah rating the longer the charge will be.

The MVP has remarkable battery life, I dont know about the latest models, but the first one I got actually has two 2200mah Lipo batteries in it. I got two days out of it recently while walking around Turkey on my hols with a 2.4 ohm atty on it. Cant recommend it highly enough for out and about

Sounding like an MVP.........how long do they take to charge? I do appreciate it will be a while cos the battery size is bigger, but an idea would be welcome And do I go for a shiny purple one or the more muted black or blue and save a couple of quid

sleedale the Shiney ones are lovely I've never timed how long they take to charge, but you can use it as a passthrough while it's charging

Consider you will have this device for a year or more...select the one you WANT. Most batteries recharge at ~500 mAh per hour, so a 2000mAh battery, from completely depleted, may take upwards of 4 hours or more. Cheers I
