Not sure how much I vape ,every day is different :)Depends how much I like the juice, how busy I am at home. It's all good if keep you off the stinkies. It's just your first week.Soon will have a set up that you are happy with and you will adjust to what you need and how much naturally.Think it this way,no matter how much your vape, the money you spend for juice will be always far less then money you will spend for cigarettes.

Is there a ' normal ' . . . whether it's consumption or strength. Whatever it takes to stop us reaching for a cig works for me - I also think it can be a mistake for some people, to try and reduce nicotine strength too quickly/too early. Not only can it lead to nicotine cravings and the temptation to spark up, but it can also take a little time to mentally adjust to not smoking. Personally, I use as much eliquid as possible - so many lovely flavours to mix, test and enjoy. I'd like to try as many as I can!

the other thing is, it's not just the nic that changes when you begin vaping full-time - it's all the other cr@p in smoke that takes your body time to adjust to not having any more. Don't stress about how much/how strong juice you're using for a couple of months or so, give your body time to adjust to getting just nic first, then see about reducing strength/volume to suit you, just do it slowly

Thanks for your replies. I'm not too fussed about it, and you are right I'm not sure I could spend more on e liquid than I did on pouches. Although I'm not sure about that when it comes to eyeing up new machines. lol Anyway still going strong, and having some blackberry for breakfast. I might even get my 5 a day for a change.

Bobsbeer welcome to the wild wacky world of vaping! Take your time with your new hobby (for a hobby it is, most definitely) and try not to give in to the dreaded Shinyitis too soon - buying every metallic bit of kit that pops up on the internet (said he, having just bought a DNA40 board AND today a preordered Vaporshark rDNA40...). When you see a mod or atomiser that looks nice think like this : icon_shoppingm and not this : Above all, have fun with vaping and welcome to the friendliest forum on the internet!

Well done Bobsbeer on your first week. You did better than me - I duel-fueled for about six months. I am about the same as Tom with 3-5ml out and about, 5 - 10ml at home. You are going have an enjoyable journey. You will learn more about electrical resistance than you ever did at school, you will become an expert on exchange rates and internet deals, begin to understand body absorption rates of nicotine, and start to become a taste expert to sommelier quality. I am also a new member here, lots of friendly advice from people, who will inevitably force you to part with hard-earned cash. You might as well start thinking about you next purchase now - it will likely be an i-stick and some fancy tank. Nick

Congrats on your efforts so far, can't see you going back to cigs again. I started high and vaped low, then reduced gradually and now vape 6mg 45pg/55vg, this seems to suit me better, however, now the winter is setting in I will vape more as I am not going out as much, I never vape outside it just doesn't enter my head . I have 6 favourite juices which I use to fill my 6 Evods, these will see me through the day. I don't vape much in the evening now after having had 'my fill'during the day. Horses for Courses how much you use.

I almost do in a day what you do in a week. I would say I fill my 2.5ml tank at least 3 times a day... That's not counting on the 2 other tanks I have filled up with other flavours, and swap from time to time in the day. Just keep your fluids up, and vape on.

If i'm using the Orchid that things thirsty and i can get through 12ml+ a day but on a dripper i've been known to use even more. If i chuck in a 2 day drinking weekend then it's not far off 100ml of juice a week. I only vape at 6mg though and at the end of the month i tend to mix 12mg liquid and that gets used slower

I can recommend the Dave Dorn mix, a bit of nic base, 10% Ethyl maltol, top up with VG. Cheap as chips and provides you with more juice than you could shake a shitty stick at

Completely agree, I very gradually went down to zero nic and lets say it didn't work for me (a couple of 40 Marlboro Red binges) although it does work for some. After that I was using 6 mg with highish power devices and settled into vaping 13 ml a day, changed up to 10 mg and went straight down to 8.3 ml a day, it's creeping up now and I have averaged 10 ml a day over the last year, but I work form home.

Really nothing to fret about BobsbeerI started vaping just over 3 years ago (how vaping has changed since then!) and I was on 2-3ml of 36mg/ml a day then I got a variable power device (back in the day when they were new on the market) and instantly my ml went upto 5ml a day. Mixing your own is definitely something to look into to save costs. if whatever your nic strength is keeping you off the stinkies that's what matters. Comparing yourself to other vapers 'aint helpful. I was on 36mg/ml - varying between that and nic nasal spray (cos I was hooked on that too) for at least 8 weeks. Even then I just reduced to 33mg/ml and did that for quite a while. Then came off the nasal spray(seemed a rip off)... So basically your journey in your time. Don't let anyone else dictate or tell you otherwise - from the medics downwards! Hope that helps Jane

It's about 3/4ml a day of 1.8 nic for me but if I a drink in the evening it's double that.
