That's the problem tho richo71. The istick won't go below 3volts. To get 16watts on 1ohm takes 4 volts - nice vape on a rebuildable. A single coiled atty @1ohm won't run below 9watts, and that's where the problem lies - and is the reason both of mine are in the 'backups' drawer. In practice the 'mean' measurement is a load of nonsense these days and just compounds the problem. Note I consider a kanger/aspire as an atty. A rebuilable is a rebuildable.

This Ain't Sarcasm, Honest! I've Read a Lot on Here 'bout the I-stick (Not All of It!...There's 100's of Pages!!!) & Just Wondered How They Trump the Trusty Ol' MVP?.. I Know They're More Powerful But There Seems to Be a Lot of Cases of Burnt Coils/Liquids & Having to Up Resistance to Combat This. Is it the Handy Size That Appeals Most or Wot?....

Errr Twice the power half the size..... just needs to to be treated with a little respect, 1.8 ohms and above on pro tanks etc for certain juices or a tank than can wick fast enough for it.

That has changed with mvp3. Mvp always comes out too, stashed somewhere as a spare when out and about as they have never let me down ,, in the car, rucksack somewhere. I find istick a different vape, very satisfying when right tanks found. So far I found glass tanks better on it, RG200 (2.2omg) and protank 3 (1.6 omg duel coil) seem to be working well at present. But have gone thro more coils than usual to find what suits... feel I am getting somewhere now .. Ah .. letsavit beat me to it .. agree certainly demands respect!

The iStick, it's a sexy little beast but at some point in the future it's going to make a very good window smasher!

I was having this issue with one of my isticks w protank 2, I make my own coils mostly about 1.5-1.6 ish is where I like. I noticed with higher VG juices anything over 50% it was giving dry hits at 9w +. Tried several different wicks then had a brainwave ( dosent happen often) I re wicked again with jap cotton but I left the tail twice as long. Then cut the tails down middle and wrapped them round the base of the Atty head after its assembled ( is an inside out nautilus wrap ) and voilla no dry hits. Running at 1.6 ohm 15 w. I'll do one tomoz and put a PIC up.

I've not had any burnt coils and I love it. No issues. It's fab & lasts me days. Plus it's pretty, what's not to love?
