Life of atomiser seems to be getting shorter

Hi all, i am back with another question.

Was recommended a vision spinner with a mini protank, have had it quite a while now (6months+) and its been great.   But recently I seem to be having to change the atomiser part more and more often.  I use to get 2-3weeks of satisfying vape from one, but now it seems to be barely a week.

I just notice not as much vapour and less taste, if I put a new atomiser in it works great but only seems to be for a few days.  I have 3 batteries and swapping them about doesn't seem to make any difference.

The only thing i can put it down to is the quality of the atomisers has gone down maybe?

What juice are you using as sweet juices gunk up very fast.I love custard and as it's sweet it gunks up very fast.As I use rebuildables I change the cotton wool wicks after two tanks.Two minute job

Might be worth having a go at recoiling your Atty heads.
That way its just a case of pull old wick pups fire to burn crud off coil rewick and good to go.

The advantage of the microcoiled atomiser is a much better taste, better vapour and you can rewick them.

I have 2 juices at the moment that will kill a coil in 2 mil of juice lol.

I rewick my Protank heads every 4 days max, sometimes sooner with the Custard/Dessert flavours I prefer JimmyJ and that's of non exclusive use as well.

As peeps have said it depends on the juice you are using, my kayfuns with vanilla custard need to be rewicked every tank, with something like apple or strawberry I can use the same wick for a few days.

Kangers QA has been pants for ages now, mass producing them and not caring about the quality, re-wicking is the answer as others have mentioned.

Maybe you're taste could be better/coming back, so your more likely to taste when the coil is going bad. Less vaper could also be down to a change in pg/VG ratio

HI all, thanks for all the advice, I've ordered a couple of spools of wire and some wicks, hopefully i'll have them tomorrow. I got the 0.15 and the 0.25. Am looking forward to getting back to worry free vaping again.

I always use Dekang tobacco liquid, its about the only one i've ever liked (not sure if that's because it was the first i've tried) i will try and check if it was PG or VG etc. I've totally forgotten what i normal get.

As wight just said that happen to me, although you have been 6months. Didn't know what a burnt old coil taste was for the first month, that's because I smoked burnt for 25years beforehand........now days a need a new coil and wick everyday.

Bear in mind it's how much juice has been consumed, not how many days.

Good point, there are some who vape 2ml and others who vape 7-8ml a day on here. Big difference in the time it takes to burn out the wick/coils.

Just got the wire and wicks and i seem to have a silica wick/string, i thought i had ordered the cotton things to cut up, does it matter if i use the string?

JimmyJ yes you can use the silica or you could go and get some cotton wool, personally I use boots baby essentials about a pound for years worth.

How important is it to test the coil i've just made?
I thought i had a battery that would do it but they don't fit, Different type of thread etc.

If you use a coil that's below the minimum resistance for your battery it can seriously damage it.
