I'm a bit confused with this. What exactly is meant by it? I see it all the time lately especially when talking about sub ohm-ing. When smoking and now vaping I would draw the smoke/vapour into my mouth and then inhale and exhale. The smoke/vapour would go into my lungs and come out again. Is that a lung inhale? Or is there some other way? Do people not inhale?

That's a mouth to lung inhale. With a really airy draw, a mouth to lung inhale doesn't quite cut the mustard, so you take it straight into your lungs in one breath - like breathing it in, rather than sucking then breathing... does that make sense?

Just when vapour isn't pulled into your mouth to stay. Sucking directly into your lungs - kinda like an athsma pump inhale.

Thanks lairey, Tom and Perpetua I think I understand. So why do they say lung inhale for sub ohm? Do you need more air for sub ohm?

Thanks lairey, Tom and Perpetua I think I understand. So why do they say lung inhale for sub ohm? Do you need more air for sub ohm? exactly. Sub ohm coils need much more airflow, so tend to lend themselves to lung inhales

Looking at the video lung inhales didn't seem to produce much more vapour than mouth to lung, so what is the advantage, if you can call it that, by lung inhaling? I'm not a vapour chaser for the sake of it, as I prefer flavour and don't care about the vapour. I'm just trying to get the best vaping experience, and learning.

Straight into the bellows is the only way for me. Likewise although only in the last couple of months. These new RBAs almost make it a requirement.

Thanks guys just trying to figure this out myself last night. As a smoker I was mouth to lung and I vape the same way, guess I never really knew there was another way to do it. The video above is excellent for demonstrating the difference, subtank arrived today so will give it a try.

I'm not a vapour chaser for the sake of it, as I prefer flavour and don't care about the vapour. I'm just trying to get the best vaping experience, and learning. There's masses more vapour when you lung inhale as your also inhaling a much greater volume of air. There's no advantage as such it just a preference. If you vape at higher wattage and sub ohm your creating a lot more heat at the coil and the increased airflow ensures you don't overheat the juice/ coil/ wick. i started mouth to long then tried direct lung and now mouth to lung is hopeless for me. But it's just what you get used to. When I first tried lung inhaling I couldn't quite get my head round how you did it and boy does it take your breath away at first. A bit like that first fag all those years ago the the other advantage as some lower there juice nic content for lung inhaling. its optional but if you fancy giving it a try you really need a Dripper or an RBA with lots of airflow.

Might try it with my Mini Nautalus as that is quite airy at the open setting.

I can't mouth to lung with an airy draw on a tank or rda i just cough and splutter as soon as i inhale, i need a really restricted airflow on the ati to mouth to lung. However i do like a really dense vape and the only way to get a good dense vape is airflow so mostly i'm lung hitting all the time. All for except first thing in the morning i need to ease into vaping so i puff away on a mini protank and mouth to lung it.
