I'm not a great sports follower, but as usual there was nothing much on TV at the weekend, so flicked over to the rugby fixtures on today... wow, what a display of passion, pride and ability from all sides. On the edge of my seat at the end of the France v England match. Beating seven bells of **** out of each other for 80mins, and with what was at stake, they all shook hands at the end with genuine respect. And please, can we get Nigel Owens (the ref in the England game) to run training courses for soccer refs... absolutely brilliant, in his knowledge and running of the game, and the rollocking he gave players twice his size. Ref was Nigel Owens, Raffles & he didn't have a bad day, considering I groaned when I heard who it would be, as I'm not a fan of his.  There was some great rugby & as usual, thoroughly enjoyable & well done to Ireland. |

I'm gutted. I didn't expect England to win, but started to believe as the match went on and that's what hurts.
I fully expected to be annoyed at the French, but fair play to them, they came and played their part and gave us a fair chance to win the whole thing. Instead I'm pissed off at Scotland. Pathetic. I really hope they continue to get smashed at the World Cup, they deserve it!

The last time I watched a Rugby match was when Jonny Wilkinson kicked that ball . . . but even I was gripped by the England v France game. Thoroughly enjoyable, great match.  Respect for that ref as well!  |

I don't know the rules of the game, but I thoroughly enjoyed all the matches, I was on the edge watching England/France game. I thought Wales were going to win.  |

I thought the England France game was a cracker. Well done to both teams. They could not have done better. But it bodes well for the World Cup. I just hope they play in a similar style and don't bottle it.
