Your new e-cig won't last for ever, Bee - far from it. Once you've got started and know what's what you'll know how you would like to progress, whether you want to change "up" or "different" or are happy to carry on with your auto 901 scylla

Since deciding I'm not fond of the 901. I now need a decent spare.
I''m torn (at the moment) between the Tornado & the Screwdriver, both are in the TECC sale.
Added to the dilema, I have some 501 atties on order, some tornado batts, 901 atties & 901 batts. I'm going to be returning the 901 batts & maybe the 901 atties (depending on which spare I end up buying).
Can anyone offer this newbie some advice on what I should buy?

Why don't you stick with lots of Tornado components? Then you don't have to take a risk on a model you may not like If you get a 510>901 adapter you'll be able to use the 901 atties with the Tornado, leaving off the cone. On the other hand, if you buy a Screwdriver it would stand you in good stead if you're ever too broke to buy Tornado batteries, cos SD batteries are very cheap. That's the only reason I can think of to veer away from Tornado. scylla

Thanks Scylla.
I was thinking the same about the batteries actually. + I like the fact that the SD dosen't resemble an analog.
I need to stop being so impulsive lol.

I bought two Tornado kits in the sale, one for me, one for him. Just because I am used to the Riva and don't want to have too many different items. Only thing is the charger in "his" kit is not working, so I've just emailed them.

That's great that you had a "good" one to compare it with, the seller will know you know what you're talking about and you're not setting it up wrong - they can be doubting scylla

Just catching up a bit.
Hissie, I have 901, 905, Tornegoriva, screwdriver & wetbox. Out of them all, my favourite by miles is the Tornegoriva with a LR attie, followed by the 901.
I bought a 5 pack of batteries (among other stuff) and am about to order another complete kit and another 5 pack. If I were you, I wouldn't bother changing devices. Been there, done that, have heaps of unused devices sitting in a box.
Scylla, I know you said you didn't want to know, but I have used the 510-901 adapter with my Riva and could fit the cone on, although the attie sticks out the top by about a centimetre.

Thanks Scylla & Jaki for your advice.
I've decided to just stick with my Riva/Tornado parts & am going to buy an adaptor for the different size atties.
Just got to return the batteries I'd bought for the 901.
Right, I've bought an adaptor & a new tornado cone. Don't think I'll need anything else for a while now (fingers crossed).

You're so norty for telling me, Jaki My vaping is not going very well, but I'm blaming it on weak normal atties and the frustrating Eastmall LR ones. scylla

Scylla, it may be worth you trying the Liberty Flights 901LR atties, just for comparison.

That's exactly what I've been thinking overnight, but I ordered some Resveratrol from iHerb in the hope of saving my life with yet another miracle vitamin supplement that I won't take I'm haemorrhaging money again I've just blue-stuffed a new-old cart, a round black one, it looks like a 510 cart, and am using it with the Dibley cos it fits the TECC 901 atty perfectly. I'm on the first filling and it is lasting much better than dripping, but it's after RE-filling that performance falls off. See how I go scylla

Right, I really owe you Scylla for the atties & juice you sent me a while back so I'm sending you a Liberty Flights LR901 attie. I won 2 of them in that charity raffle & have been using one of them daily on my GGTS for about 3 weeks & it's still working brilliantly. The other one is still in it's plastic wrapping so I'll pop it in the post to you
