Hi and damian You will get all the advice you need here. I'll also recommend the iStick30. Simplicity with power. Perfect starter mod (battery) which even long time vapers use.

This is what I have at the moment, I've probably spent £200 on batteries, starter kits and clearomizers. I'm a bit lazy so something low maintenance is more my thing

Hahahaha sounds like I'm in for a treat. Money isn't a limiting factor, I don't mind shelling out if it is fit for purpose. I tried the ones that look like cigarettes but I might as well be sucking on a nicorette inhalator. I stuck with the pen type vape sticks because that's the first one I was recommended when I popped into sweetcloud (my local vape shop). I've had 4 starter kits from them in the last year and was about to push the button on a couple of evod sticks on eBay (before I found this forum)
The only reason I didn't get them is I'm a bit scared I'll end up blowing my face off, you hear so many horror stories .
I don't understand the coils thingy, I'm used to screwing a clear tank with the two wicks in it on the top and away I go.

check out the post on all the anachronyms RTA RDA etc. allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/28309/pics-vids-get-started-abbreviations?page=1&scrollTo=513761 The attys suggested for you above all have the coils in a screw in module, u can if u want disassemble and refit a new coil yourself or just buy a new coil module for a pound or 2 and screw it in, (but save the old ones as you may end up rebuilding them to save a few pennies or for fun. a coil module should last a few weeks.. imho go for stainless steel and glass atty's (atomiser/cartomiser) with silicone orings, all heatsafe foodsafe and chemical resistant materials.. get off the placky bits n bobs im just a newbie myself so if im shooting wide someone will correct me but a nice simple mod (battery holder) and clean material atty with cheap replaceable coil modules will see you well Edit read up or ask in here for advice on which batteries to buy , that is a minefield and get the good uns i had to ask and was helped and guided to a good seller of quality batteries here in the UK and a quality safe charging unit. look in my hello all post for battery pointers allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/53277/good-afternoon-all

Holy shit! Just watched a YouTube video on the istick 30...... How much vapour?
That's definitely for me I think
Is there anywhere I can buy the whole kit or do I have to choose the bits and Bob's? It looks a lot more complex than what I use at the moment.

Hey damian Reckon you're local-ish as your close to either North Camp (Farnbourgh or Woking) as you've been to Jan's Sweet Cloud emporium. If you happen to be on the west of those two towns then there's a couple of other B&M (Bricks and Mortar) shops over this way... Berkshire Vapers over in Winnersh. Earley and Caversham and between those and Sweet Cloud you'll find Vanilla Vapes (with our very own lairey who started there after an enviable career change a couple of months ago - talking of which, they are on the discount list so introduce yourself if you find yourself in Camberley). There's nowt better at popping into a B&M and trying new things, asking advice and generally chewing the fat. Oh wait... I'm wrong, there is... Vape Meets and, oh yes, forums (like UKV and, Woot!, you've found here). Be warned, though, you're going to find that may not quite be the certainty you think it may be, especially as that shinyitus bug starts to bite. Looks like you've already fallen foul of one of the biggest lessons in vaping - Always have backups... Some might say "Always have backups of backups", ideally with you / in the car / bike, etc... That said, the recommendations above are good... I think I'd recommend that you purchase a regulated (variable) device that you can change the batteries in (you will, of course, need batteries, and a good charger and please get a charging bag as well). Give some consideration to future proofing before the European Tobacco Products Directive comes into force next year (that means it's a very good idea to both stock up on things and learn to rebuild / be prepared to learn and have the kit). Above all, Welcome & also welcome to MrDJ

Advice taken!
Used the link someone posted earlier with a 10% discount so got the I stick and the nautilus for a few quid shy of £50, only marginally more expensive than my first ecig, which lasted 6 weeks!
I take it it's quite easy to get to grips with? I know nothing of electwickerwy so have no idea what the wattage and ohms mean
