Watching it now Jane, there's an interview with the Health Minister at 7.10am for anyone up and about.
It's not so much the ban I object to, but yet again the pile of drivel spouted by Minister's who quite clearly haven't a scooby about ecigs and the massive benefits there are to using them.

The drivel and the hypocrisy Perpetua, if governments really were serious about getting peeps to not smoke, surely they would be banned? Oh, but let's not forget the tax, revenue, backhanders etc.

Shame on the Welsh Government for not listening. 79% of responses in the public consultation were against the ban: as are Cancer Research UK, British Heart Foundation and ASH amongst others.
Whether this ban is something that you feel will affect you or not, it is still yet another nail in the coffin of personal freedom; another example of legislation that is not based on fact but rather on emotional response and is being justified by falsehoods. If you don't think this is a problem that will affect you...
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Socialist. Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Just watched the interview . . . . what a knob. My thoughts entirely Perps...alrhough you put it a little more politely than I was thinking. My thoughts go to the pub owners..when I smoked I often went to the pub for lunch with girlfriends to catch up( all smokers ). We stopped doing this in the winter when the smoking ban came in. Pubs all over the country recorded a drop in sales. I would assume the vaping pubs have noticed increased sales since the rise of ecigs. This is about to plummet in Wales again ...thanks to that Knob as Perps puts it

Probably not if I'm honest. It's a ban imposed based on a zero scientific bias, whilst encouraging public perception that ecigs are ' dangerous ' that I really, really object to.

I agree in restaurants, it wouldn't be fair to non smokers. I have 5 grandchildren and don't vape in front of them either. However pub landlords should be able to make the choice themselves whether they allow it or not...or even have a particular area in the pub for vapers. After all they can't complain about the smell from vapers...who could object to the smell of strawberry or blackberry wafting around the pub.

Good positive interview with Cancer Research UK just now.
The Welsh Government has been hoodwinked by Mark Drakeford. It will be interesting to see how this plays out and could give us pointers on whatt could happen inn the rest of the UK.
I feel for the Vape Shops in Wales, you will not be able to vape inside them which means that they may be driven out of business if this ruling goes through the Welsh Assembly.

This will hit the vape shops very hard, no opportunity to test a flavour in the shop, a lot may just buy online if you can't try before you buy. I will be writing to my mp, again

Welsh voters should be asking why they bother with a public consultation if they are going to ignore a 4/1 rejection. And asking for an estimate of costs.
