Nic level

A lot of us have been reducing our nic levels over time. In my case it was 24mg - 12mg - 9mg, other folk have gone further. So it was intriguing to hear Dr Farsalinos on a recent VTTV say that it's immaterial if you reduce or not, because as vapers we self-limit our intake. Over time we inhale enough nic as we wish, and no more. A high-nic vaper will take fewer pulls in a time period than they would on lower nic. The interesting outcome is that as a result, using higher nic concentrations actually reduces your overall juice usage! Quite an eye opener.

My last mix of 100mg of juice was done back at 12mg, and using it today exclusively. Just going to see how many refills the Subtank takes. For science!

I am down from 18 to 10-ish - but generally I find myself vaping less - but always want to have my gear close and many times I just have it in my hand - remains of an old habit - lol

I've dropped from 18 to 12 but some juices I think are better at 6-9. I am a heavy vaper who will sit down and vape about every 30-60 secs for about an hr a time, then I'll not touch it for over an hr or two. It's just I love the taste

Down from 18mg to 12mg. I've got 3 on the go at any one time and take a couple of tokes as and when I want to rather than the old ciggy habit when you smoked a whole one. Guess I go through 4-5ml a day.

I went from 28 - 24 - 20 - 18 - 16 - 15 - then down by 1 until at 8, then down by 1/2 until at 3, then down by 1/4 until at 0 and had a couple of 40 Marlboro Red binges so went back to 6 mg. I found I chain vaped too muck at 6 and went up to 10, my liquid consumption went from 13 ml a day to 8.3 ml a day overnight, it has creped up to around 10 ml a day and been stable their for about 8 months as 100 mg of nic a day is enough for me. He has said before about vaping lower nic in higher quantises that you increase your exposure to anything in that maybe a risk (v small risk still), not to mention the cost.

Wife and I have gone from 18mg last August to 3 mg now, no cravings at all, we do vape a lot more so I would say he is spot on.

I reckon I must be using around 8-10ml a day, my wife on the other hand is back on her spinner v2 and around 2-3ml a day

Im down to 3(ish)mg and vape as much as I can during the day and love it.
Ive tried going back up to 5mg to cut back on juice use but cant handle the hit it gives and so spoils my overall vape experience.

I started at 18mg, then reduced down to 12mg, then 6mg and now usually order 3mg, or 6mg if that is all that is left.
Sometimes I would take 0mg in my local vape shop, but that was only because they didn't have my flavour in anything higher. When I got home I just decanted it into the bottle I already had.

Now as I am a bit of a chain vaper, and especially now that I have this iSub tank where I am constantly pulling big lung hits, I have heard that if I did this with a higher nic level then I would probably explode with a much higher intake of nicotine.

 This is far too easy for me sitting at my PC and forgetting how much I am liquid I am using.
If out and about, then my use is much less.

So I am thinking that chain vaping is better with low nic levels, and well spaced vaping then higher levels are ok.

My theory may well be a load of poo though.

I vape at 24mg as a rule and have more or less always got through around 3ml of liquid a day. If I'm using a "cloud atomiser" for lung inhales (my normal is mouth to lung) I use 12mg liquid and get through 5ml or so. I only use drippers and decant my juice into 5ml bottles for daily use so I get a pretty accurate picture of my consumption (and I've been doing this for over six years). I reckon Dr F has it about right...

I started off at 18mg and was chain vaping. I'm now down to 3mg and am still chain vaping. It doesn't seem to have made any difference to me, whatever mg I'm on I still chain vape, so my logical thinking is that surely it's gotta be better for me to chain vape at 3mg than chain vape at 18mg

I know I can go without it for quite some time as when I'm out & about it mainly stays in my handbag, maybe a toke now & again but a lot of the time I get back home and realise I haven't used it at all

A plug for the humble genny. They give great flavour without going through gallons of juice. Great for when you just want to toot away. On the minus side they don't score well on the mAh per ml of juice.

I've gone from 15/12 mg then to 10/6mg and now I'm on 5/3mg, I've almost always had my driptip in my mouth, can't get enough of the flavours but since moving to sub ohming I found 10mg too high for the amount I vaped so depending on the company, I've been using 5/3mg mainly but will use 6mg if they don't have either, maybe even 0mg if it's high vg for dripping

Only use around 2.5ml a day
In my head I'm a smoker who vapes instead

I've gone from 18mg to 3 mg and wouldn't say my juice consumption has gone up at all.
One benefit of reducing is if they do ban stuff next year ive effectively increased my nic stock 6 fold
