I've just received a couple of monster bases, along with 2 chimneys & bell caps from FT............... and luckily they all go together fine. All parts also fit my original kayfun parts too, so I would say some people have unfortunately had bad batch products .......

Hi Peeps my monster base arrived today, and all is well, everything fits correctly Just got to sort out the other faulty base unit. FT informed, now got to sort out a camera to take pics. So that I can have either refund or correct replacement sent. Just counted my Kayfuns: Got 7 of the beauties now.

Mine also fits all the kayfuns I have, although, if I'm honest, it's not floating my boat as much as I'd hoped........I have the 2 x airhole one as well, which works just as good if not better.........I also drilled the airhole out on one of my original Kf's & that is as good as both of them.............The bell cap I got from FT, is a pain, as all my 510 drip tips wobble about on it, so I've PTFE'd one on permanentely.................Fortunately, I acquired another one some time back which is fine.

Looks like I'm getting 3no. 2 hole "normals" back sometime.....! Bit of a late reply - sorry! They wouldn't accept a photo of mine and said the supplier wanted a video. Wasn't going to bother but in the end got my son to film me trying to put the chimney and then a tank on and off. Then had to upload it youtube and send them the link. Pain in the bum but I got full store credit back a couple of hours after. Not going to bother ordering another until I know for sure its a new batch!!

Thats good to know, the D2 I got wont fire below .08 when it should go to .05 so i opened a ticket saying 'it keeps showing a short message when there isnt one', and got the same response about needing the video. Maybe if I do a video of it with a .06 setup and show it working afterwards on my evic they may give me a credit as well.

I think the issue is not with the monster base, but the other base that a few have tried. The only event that I have seen is one of the center pins snapping when it was being tightened up (which they do need). I have had loads of separate parts to use with these and everything fits just fine. Its a pretty good vape at around .7 -.8 and around the 30W mark.

Yep I was on about the 2 air hole normal one, not the monster one. Can't believe they wanted a video of me stood like a lemon trying to demonstrate the problem!!! They gave me store credit for it literally a couple hours after I sent the link to the vid though so I think you should give it a go re your D2 hijack

But it should fire at .05 so as I waited 2 months for this to be sent out, I think I'm due a free-bee.

I got one a few days ago, nearly cancelled after reading this thread, but the positive connector didn't need tightening so I left it alone after snapping ordinary ones before. I had to change the connection screws, but that has been the case with every kf clone I have ever had as the underside of the head is no flat enough and tends to push the wire out. First impressions are quite good with rayon & a Ni200 Clapton (0.2 over 0.3 mm) 6 wraps around 3 mm former gave 0.11 ohm so it will run at the full wattage range on a DNA40. The first wick leaked a little so I made the tails a little longer and it seems to be OK. ETA vaping at 26 W 380 F, warm and dense vape, flavour good for cotton/rayon build. And I ensured the wraps were spaced after fitting the wick.

After a weeks plus of usage my thoughts .
Yes the airflow is great a really good mouth to lung hitter .
But don't expect it to turn your kayfun or Russian into tank which competes with the new generation of sub ohm tanks for flavour .
Just in case your thinking it will. It could do with TC coils ( can it?).
Still a good buy as i use kayfuns = increased flavour rotation.

I agree @purple1234, it does give the Kayfuns a new lease of life, but does have restrictions. The airflow is certainly good enough for direct lung inhaling. The wicking can be temperamental until you give the wick ends enough to feed well down the juice channels. The bases are so cheap though that it's worth having a couple in your spares box - I agree about increased rotation, I now have enough tanks to have 7 flavours on the go; 2 x Goblins, 2 x Orchids, 2 Kayfuns (and I could have more if I had more bases!), and my newest acquisition from flavourtank, a Subtank Plus which is really impressive (I'm a whole 1/4 of a tank down and lovin' it so far )

Chykensa That's a wicked choice of rotation <cool> , subtank plus , hmm I need to YouTube that as I'm getting very fond of these subtanks.
Thinking about the crown but as its rta section is meant to be awesome.
Ps I've totally forgotten how to tag.
