WOW - FT Kayfun relacement base!!

My dear postie Tony has just delivered 2 x of these Kayfun replacement base - monster!
Despite being in the middle of painting a garden bench in the sunshine, I downed brush, washed my hands and the bases, and set about building one.
I used these statistics from Steam Engine and some well-steeped Lemon Sherbert which I had yet to try.

I can only say a massive thanks to spacey and someone else whose name escapes me for recommending these in a recent thread. At 20w, yes 20w on a Kayfun!, the airflow is huge, and with a 1ohm coil and rolled cottonwool wick, the performance is brilliant.

I was a bit dubious TBF, but now I have one installed, I will be getting busy with the other base this evening and may venture sub-ohm in another KFL to see how that performs. I can see some more use from my KFLs in the future, once I have grubbed up enough pocket-money for another couple of bases, which work out at £6.24 each at today's prices.

glad you're so happy with it chykensa, and thanks for posting, and for the link chrisjw. I hadn't realised it was possible to buy this base and use it with other kayfun 4's (I have the tobeco).

Is the airflow still adjustable or no?? And wide open is it now a direct lung or still a MTL vape??

It can be used with any Kayfun kittyvape..........Not just the 4.

As far as I can see arron, the dearer one doesn't have adjustment, but the cheaper one does.

This I have and it keeps your kayfuns MTL but you can get more out of them, deeper juice channels and 2 adjustable air holes.

The monster one linked has no adjustment and looks to be more for DTL but yet to try.. The airholes look to be excessive, it will be throttled by the intake on the deck and then the chimney anyhow.

No airflow adjustment, and definitely DLIs not MTL!! If you like an airy vape, this is the base that will resurrect your KFLs from the box at the back of your wardrobe

Anyone know if these would fit the kfl v2 from mvapes?
As these look awesome as I love the kayfuns but they are to tight air for me really and these look perfect to solve that.

I have FT clones igual, I think they are Russian 91%/KFL clones, not sure of the v number, but I'm guessing that they would fit. For £6 it's worth a punt, and if they don't I'll but it off you for cost price as I'm well made up (as the street kids say!).
