Getting to grips with my Goblins now, so will give that a go - thanks! For obvious reasons I'm not taking it with me

Slightly off topic but I'm loveing the £8.50 Goliath clone from ft if they did a single coil version of that it would be my ultimate tank.

Thanks for the wicking photos, hijack. Brilliant; will look forward to doing that when the bases arrive!

They have the new Goliath at FT but Ive not pulled the trigger on that one yet. Love the tank, but like you(probably), Its a tall tank, needs 2 coils of 2.5mm and a bit fiddly. Hence I use the KFL in stumpy size with the Monster base most of the time. I think you will like it when you try it out. It does get you using your KFL's again.

Got my base today and it's safe to say I'll be ordering a couple more. It's turned the kayfun into a whole new atty!

The monster with the big airflow holes chykensa. I'm quite amazed by the difference. I need to order some more now. Just a shame they don't do them in black

I have a Nickel coil in the Kayfun with my base on at the moment, but I am going to pop a low resistance Kanthal coil in tomorrow so that I can try out some new recipes - Zesty Cresta, an orange ice cream-y flavour of my own creation - 'it's frothy, man!' Will report back!

The second monster I got was a bit more temperamental than the first and was leaking on me when kept upright. I was wicking it just the same as the first, but it didnt behave the same as the original monster. No obvious difference that I could tell in channel depth etc. I spent 2 days re-wicking it every tank full, changed out all the orings, changed out the complete chimney....everything. Finally thought sod it, Im just going to put more wick down the channel. Problem solved. Not leaked since. Talk about going round the houses to diagnose a problem.

Useful to know hijack, thanks! I must admit that I had a few leakage problems to start with, and with the depth of those channels, I popped a bit more wick in and it solved the problem, so will make sure I do that again today

I've not had a single drop of leakage from mine so far. I popped the ends of the wicks just in the top of the channels as I would a fogger v4 and its been perfect

I haven't had any leakage from the one I did this morning either, drunkenbum. I guess our wicks are largely similar (that sounds seriously dodgy, doesn't it!?).
