Where is the best place at the moment to buy 500ml or 1 L of nic concentrate UKFlavours don't seem to have any in stock and I'm wanting to stash some for when they stop us buying it next year. I find the way I do it is very easy i buy either 1L or 500ml of what ever nic content I want say 6MG and then whatever PG/VG mix I want say 50PG 50VG or 100% VG from here bluestar-eliquid.co.uk/unflavoured-base-e-liquid/then i break it down into 100ml bottles then just add my concentrate to suit my taste. you can buy upto 25L from them so I have been buying a Litre or so each month and storing it. i have never had any problems with their eliquid base and find it absolutely fine. if you don't want to splash out on a big bottle just buy a small 100ml to try it You can but try it mark

So after the TPD will we be able to buy PG VG and flavouring, also do you reckon imports from China will be affected? I doubt it, unless the far east suppliers start filling out the customs declarations with an accuracy that they currently don't apply. my last order from china was delivered with a customs declaration listing the contents as electrical goods and a value less than 20 usd the actual contents was 30 ml of juice and other vape accessories, nothing electrical at all However with the increase in private purchases from the far east either direct or via ebay, i suspect that some time in the future there may be a crack down on this situation, if they are less than exact with vape gear through the post they can be as equally inexact with other goods which may not be as benign?? though i expect something like street weapons knives, knuckle dusters etc (all available via FT) may be the catalyst to spur action from western authorities rather than tank attys post TPD. but if the crack down occurs it will effect the purchase of vape gear too.. And increase the cost to us to as with honest customs declarations will come the VAT charges for goods deemed luxury, as anyone who has made a purchase from a US supplier worth more than £15 will probably confirm.

do you reckon imports from China will be affected? Nobody knows as they ( the government) are still thrashing out how to implement the regulations.

Storing in plastic bottles in the freezer is not a good idea as the plastic leeches into the liquid and I wouldn't like to vape anything from leeched plastic

Is it OK to freeze 500mil plastic bottles of nicotine from Darkstar? I wouldn't not unless you plan on using it relatively quickly shez, although within 2 years then it should be fine . . . . even then I'd still decant into glass for the reason Ron says plus glass storage helps prevent degradation of nicotine in addition to the cold temperature. You'd probably find it more convenient to use a smaller volume at a time anyhow, rather than defrosting/refreezing a large bottle all the while. My base that is in use, not in the freezer - I always decant it into an amber glass bottle . . . . .

Dont mean to hijack the thread, but is it ok to store VG in plastic bottles ?....like small 500ml coke bottles ? I was going to buy some glass bottles from a pharmacy but looking over my shoulder at my mixing shelf I've got 5 glass 200ml vg bottles from boots I could use to store nic instead

The clear glass bottles from Boots are fine for Nic Base storage markus, but not the best to prevent degradation over a longish period of time. I forget all the ins and outs of this as it was a while ago - but Amber is considered the first choice, followed by Blue . . . . with clear performing least well, although still better than plastic.

So after the TPD will we be able to buy PG VG and flavouring, also do you reckon imports from China will be affected? PG & VG have numerous other purposes so I cannot see any restrictions there. e.g. You can buy perfectly good VG in Boots. My guess is retailers will start selling flavourings without reference to them being suitable for vaping. This could be OK but it could lead to confusion with vapers using food flaverings that are not suitable for vaping. And I blame the TPD if this happens. I also think it was very dangerous to get rid of the relatively safe 75mg/ml limit and replace it with the daft 20mg/ml which is near useless for mixing, esp in 10ml bottles*. People will probably just start importing all kinds of nic base up to the near 100% stuff. *Destroying DIY mixing was no doubt part of the TPD plan, if it had one.
