I agree catface26 - my vaping history is a bit older historically, but the same holds true; every purchase has been an upgrade. Ego Clearomiser and 650mah batteries. Spinner and Mini and Viva Novas Spinner (then Vamos) with Protanks Vamo with Kayfun Mech mods with Kayfuns and Taifuns First box mod iStick 20w - with above and Mini Nautilus Then Orchids, Goblins and MVP3s Which gets us up to date - see signature!!

Good old shinyitus In my case it isn't this and I can prove it to you. Every time I've bought some new kit I haven't gone back to the old stuff. It's always been an upgrade in my eyes. Ten Motives cig-a-like > Ego-T > 20w istick and Nautilus > 20w istick and sub tank nano > 30w istick and sub tank nano > 30w istick and sub tank mini > 50w Sigelei and sub tank mini > Mechs and drippers > 50w Sigelei and Bellus > 75w Evic VTC Mini and Bellus That's as far as I've got so far and each increment has been an upgrade that has improved my vaping experience. Mechs and drippers are kind of a different story as although it is still the most superior method of vaping in terms of raw performance, the practicality of it means I usually only use this kind of kit in the evening. At this point I may well use a mixture of kit as I have an Aromamizer and a Smok TFV4 to collect from the post office but up until this point all of my old kit is redundant. That's Classic shinyitus im afraid mate

Nope it's called progression. I imagine anyone who says otherwise was one if the people who were terrified when the TV digital switchover happened.

Lol, I was far from terrified when the TV digital switchover happened - welcomed it with open arms Just over a year ago, I bought a new TV recorder, with hard drive (my old one died after many years of use) The new one is brilliant & it turned my TV into a Smart TV, so no need to buy a new telly In my 7+ years of vaping, I've progressed a heck of a lot - lol there wasn't much available over 7 years ago I'm more than happy with what I'm using now - it's kept me off the fags to the point I enjoy vaping far more than smoking. By not smoking & not buying every new thing that comes out, I've saved a fortune. OK, I've more or less spent what I've saved - but on good things that will either save me more money or even give me a return

My point is it's unfair to accuse people of being magpies just because they buy the latest kit on the market. It's no different to any other technology.

I don't think I did accuse people of being magpies - if i did, I apologise. If you can afford to buy everything new that comes out, it's not a problem I just worrry about the folks that can't afford to do so, but are drawn in by the "must have the newest & latest" of everything

OK, I've more or less spent what I've saved - but on good things that will either save me more money or even give me a return The switchover was a bloody good thing down here, we struggled to get channel 5 before it and reception for the other channels was sometimes a little dodgy. It was a small price to pay for living in such a lovely place, mind. Being stuck on dial-up for a long time after people started to get broadband was far more annoying anyway. I digress. Back on topic, the Smok TFV4 works for me. A massive choice of different coils that are reasonably priced from UK vendors (In a good six months of constant use I'm yet to have one last less than three weeks) and occasionally dirt cheap from China. MTL with the 1.5ohm coils or chucking clouds with some of the sillier choices available, it just works and works well. I really can't rule out a fourth one joining my arsenal of vape gear. Sent from my X5pro using proboards

WHen you mature a bit, you may find that you are able to decide what floats your boat. For me, it's a mouth to lung atomizer, and no more than 30W. So I've got 3 mods capable of 40W, and about 5 tanks. For the foreseeable, I'm done. Unless they invent a mod which has a nuclear fuel cell

If I'm not mature by now I don't think I ever will be. Anyway it isn't about maturity. For the price of a couple of packets of fags you can buy a new piece of technology. And every time I've done this so far it has improved my vaping experience.

And as magpies go im right up there, I part with nothing

Just having a laugh mate, don't take everything so literal. Buy what you want, most of us have been there, I certainly have. And me! To an extent I still do catface26 as I get pleasure trying out new stuff as it helps keep vaping fresh for me. Although now I'm considerably more selective and don't buy equipment that looks too faffy for my skill/interest levels . . . . or costs mega bucks, thanks to the fantastic selection of affordable gear now - I don't have to spend £175 on a device as I once did. But good luck to anyone who does, if that's what gives them their vaping enjoyment. Although if I were to be completely honest, I could probably manage quite adequately on a iStick 20w and a Protank using some nice tasty eliquid. Not right or wrong is there as long as it works, for you.

I am always 2 scats behind the rest of the human vaping race, but at least that enables me to read up and hear on the forum about the new kit, people's trials and tribulations with it, and if it's worth chucking my hard-earned at. I've only just got my first TFV4, and although I like it, I don't think I've fallen in love with it yet. I've only used one juice in it so far, so maybe it needs more time and a selection of juices before I can make an informed decision. As Perpetua says, the new kit keeps vaping fresh for me too; although I have a good selection of tanks, I am always aware of what is going to happen in 6 months time, and am buying up stuff in preparation for that time, although I know I will probably still be able to get kit from China once the grace period has come to an end.
