Opening ceremony at 11:30 on BBC.

How many golds will we win this time around, who will win them.

Will we get a better haul than London ?

The opening ceremony is a bit late for me, so no doubt will get to see it tomorrow. Hopefully our team will do well, and not come back with zika.

I managed to watch the start of it and thought the projection in the arena was good. The runners jumping from building to building was very clever. No doubt catch up on what I missed today.

I must say I was underwhelmed by the opening ceremony but you can't expect too much for 3 million quid these days !

Let's hope the main event makes up for a poor start.

We are not doing bad at all. Some surprising medals, and some great results. 24 medals so far is a great effort by the teams.

It's going to be a late night/early morning for me most likely, as I'd really like to see what happens in the Heptathlon, Long Jump . . . . and of course to watch the legend that is Mo Farrah.

( So my alarm will probably be set! )


I've watched some thrilling, hugely entertaining sport from team GB so far . . . . . and a couple of events like the Trampolining and Dressage, not normally my thing - I've really enjoyed!

Bravo to them all.

It seems such a let down for Brasil because of the attendance figures.
I know they have their problems in the country so why not drop the prices a little so more of the locals can get to see it.
