Perhaps we should clean our drip tips more often?

I have just put all my drip tips through 2 x 480 seconds ultrasonic cycles ... just in case

Ooooh er, mine get a soapy wash regularly with a teeny weeny titchy bottle brush -- that's as good as it gets! The elusive lip gunk just gets wiped off with my sleeve cuff....

Drop mine in me weekly Milton fluid wash - me toothbrushes too

Should say i mix up a clean bucket of Sterilising fluid to go over me kitchen surfaces and floor in me apartment in China - but decant a glass full beforehand to do me DT's and toothbrush LoL

Mine get changed up so regular they don't get a chance to get muck on them, in the ultrasonic they go if I am doing tanks or in with the washing up if I have been mixing. Don't use metal drip tips so don't seem to get the lip gunk problem anyway

I don't often blow down the drip tip, so not worried. After all, the idea is to inhale the vapour. Unless I've been doing it wrong........?

However, I have to clear out my DT's regularly, as the fill up with sawdust etc while at work. So I may inadvertantly be staying healthy(ish)

no such problem for me as I use alcohol wipes to clean my DTs with daily. And the Aeronaut top caps get run under a scalding hot tap every day.
Mind you those bagpipe players must be clatty mingers if they only wash their sack once a year.

Alcohol wipes need to be wrung out and imbibed!

I was brought up being taken to measles/chicken pox/mumps etc parties. That's how to combat infection. Confront it and challenge it.
