approximtely 25% lower resistance, between kanthal and SS faster ramp up softer metal to work with less 'ferric' taste than kanthal, you may or may not be able to tell the difference.

I have some Nichrome bought from ecigwizard (wash my mouth out...)
I hate the stuff. Never got the resistance I wanted... always came out too high.
(Back in the days of aiming for 1.8ohms)

(Back in the days of aiming for 1.8ohms) Nichrome @ 0.25mm (30AWG) ish, should be 7 or 8 wraps of 2.5mm coils to get 1.8ohms. It depends on which Nichrome you have. I personally don't like the wire, but horses for courses....

Better flavour with nich and stainless, getting the right ohms isn't hard either, just use a coil building app.

Nice wire to build with and them low ohm builds and as said fast ramp up time. I like using 21awg flat wire, but every time ive used it i get a metallicy taste, so now stick with 316L SS.

i use N80 24g on mech mods for the fast ramp up time and ease of build. usually dual parallel, 6 wrap, 3.5mm comes in around 0.1 and it stays at those ohms, unlike 316/317L which seem to fluctuate quite a bit

That metallic taste is a hot spot, with it all wicked and juiced hold the firing button. You'll soon see a red glowing spot. Just need to be sure and pulse properly until the coils glow evenly from the inside out. Less hassle with thicker gauges though. But, stainless is nice, the 317L is a higher grade than the 316, cheap from the vape mesh company

I don't use nichrome as it gave me mouth ulcers. It has the advantage of working well with temperture control.

I have been messing around with Ni80 24 and 26 gauge in mechs, nice to have the larger coil/lower resistance /faster ramp up, but can't see a big difference in taste from Kanthal
