I had issues with o2 a couple of weeks back but they said buy a dongle and they would refund me, they duly did twice, I'm keeping quiet now
fingers crossed things are ok for me
good luck with virgin it's like pulling teeth NOOOO!

Perps I got a Vodaphone payg dongle , I think the initial cost was about £50 with £15 credit , but you don't lose anything if you don't use it .

Suits me for working away because nowadays it's only once in a while ........ maybe worth looking into

Thanks Storm . . . I may well look into that, the 3 one I've got works a treat but you have to use your credit up, within the month.

I'll see what this Virgin Engineer can do tomorrow . . . it's not a great broadband service at the best of times round here.

Don't mean to rub it in but Virgin BB rocks big style round my way , just done 10 speed tests with diff sites and am averaging 19 meg of my 20 meg package , so happy days here

My brother lives just up the road from me and can't get VM , so has no choice but to use sky or bt and he doesn't rate either of them for BB , so he has bt bb and sky for his telly , hehe and wishes he could have VM ,

tickles me coz he has a rather large house and grounds but can't get decent services to it hehehehehe

I'm on VM 10 meg and usually manage 9+. Just recently it's been down to 2.5 so I called to complain. Got through all the options and music and eventually spoke to a drone. Gave him a right bollocking and he went off to look into it. Came back to tell me I was being speed managed because of all the downloading (daughter on youtube all day). I had to slink away and bollock her instaed

Yeah Virgin give you a superb line speed..ADSL cannot touch it unless you've got a BT Ininity like package..

But heaven forbid if you get a problem with them..They are absolutely useless at customer service..

Line quality on Virgin is so so if you are using a VOIP phone like I do..

You can say that again Macca, I've actually put off phoning them as my broadband has been glitchy for a while now . . . purely because I knew the trial it would be contacting them and getting anything done.

here's a tip. if you want to speak to a human. when the voice says press 1,2,3 etc press # keep pressing # instead of one of the numbers and it will transfer you to a human.

At the moment I get 31mb d/l on VM 30mb, soon to be upgraded for free. And I only pay £15 a month "unlimted" download. Now where's that even bigger smug smilie!
