Go steady at first Gjdart . . . you'll find you may have to have a slightly different inhaling technique when using an ecig as opposed to a real ciggy . . . I tend to ' chug ' rather than doing the sort of inhales I used to . . . but you'll find what suits you. Make sure you keep your fluid intake up as well, as vaping can have a dehydrating effect. I must get on now, but there's normally several of our lovely members about if you need any guidance. Look forward to speaking to you later.

Hi gjdart, I am relitivly new to vaping also, but do you know what is a big help to me? the banner at the bottom of my post I was a 40+ a day roll up smoker and switched to vaping over night, I love it, only looked back a few times when things were hard, I will say that the first day was hard, and was coughing a bit, (ok more than a bit lol). I started on cig-e-likes too and I quickly moved on to the bigger things. As for not knowing the lingo, do not worry, just ask what the heck people are talking about and one (or many) will be able to put it in a way that you will understand no matter what your level of knowledge is. You will quickly start understanding what people are talking about. This forum is very friendly and helpful (it is like a little vilage of friends, if not slightly mad friends lol). My bit of advice to you is that if you are not liking what you have got, do not give up trying yet and be ready for the changes to your life (for the better). Things you will start to get after you stop smoking can be varied and sometimes a bit scary, but when you look into it, you will realise that it is all a good thing and it is your body repairing itself. And most importantly is NOT the vaping that is causing it but the stopping smoking. If you want to ask about those changes like taste please do, I am suprised that mine has changed so much in such a short time. Or if you are worried about something again, ask, advice will be offered. Good luck and keep on vaping

Hya and welcome to the wonderful world of vaping Like everyone else says, any questions ask away, we were all new to this once and still ask eachother our thoughts and suggestions, glad you have made the switch, it is a different draw, slower and longer but it doesnt take long to get the hang of it. If your Skycig doesnt always hit the spot, like first thing in the morning, after food etc exhale through your nose, for me, if I do two long slow inhales (without exhaling the first drag, keep it down) go straight for the second long slow inhale then a natural exhale through the nose gives that extra little bit hope it does for you

Hi Batdragon or should it be Batty ?
I've stopped smoking several times.. I think the best term for it is a confirmed serial Quitter. Stopping isn't my problem it's staying off the bleeding things that's my problem three months and away I go again puffing away as bad as ever. I had almost given up on giving up when I saw the e-cigarretes.. Hmmmmm! says I. Why stop the addiction when I can just cut out the nasty stuff ? One step at a time eh!
Thank you for taking the time to reply and for your warm welcome and all your advice. very much appreciated.

Hi Batdragon or should it be Batty ? Batdragon, Batty, Oy You, all work lol I gave up for 8 years and then went back on to the sticks (aka analoges) lol For me it is as much as a ritual as anything, like was posted, get in the car and light up. The thing I did love about smiking was the exhale, and the cloud of smoke, it was like it was taking my troubles away with it (I did not think about the c£@p it was leaving behind). Pills, Patches, gum, inhalors, non of them worked for me, but vaping it was great. The need was gone. As for your question about the batteries and the lighting up of the LED. If by the instructions it says it is fully charged, then use it, see how long it lasts. Does your pack have 2 batteries? If it does have one in the charger while you are vaping the other, that way if the one you are using goes out on you, you have the other to carry on with, and just swap them over.

Welcome gjdart I won't add much else cos you've already been given the usual great advice from other members. I never even thought about giving up the cigs - I just wanted to see if an e-cig was any good - and here I am still quit smoking 2 months later. Even my confirmed smoker husband quit and stayed quit - which he's never done before.
