YGB your right it isn't a stockist problem, it's a manufacturer problem. Maybe the SD MKII should come with extra spare springs, or maybe the maker of this e-cig should never have sold it with such a problem. It's the customer to blame. No one made anyone lose the spring. I'm sick of the faffing and penny pinching. "Can somebody measure the spring?" .. "I'll go to my local hardware store" ... etc.. I found what you were looking for ages ago .. you could have purchased a replacement kit for a few £'s. Most others don't have a problem with that. Bye!

I'll have a bash - just decided to award myself a day off tomorrow anyway Now, does anyone know whether there is a significant difference between the spring size on a SDI and SDII???? I have a SDI here I can take the size from - 8.5 x 5.5 with 5 coils. So long as the button is not a lot smaller than 5.5 in diameter then that size 'should' fit.

Some of us need to penny pinch YGB.
I am not going to explain myself to you & I'm certainly not in the mood for an argument with a stranger on an internet forum.
If you so strongly disagree with my way of doing things, then maybe avoid replying. I don't require negative advice, so please don't offer it.

YGB, you may have joined at an unfortunate time when a couple of argumentative characters were briefly posting here - but it's just not part of our "ethos" to react negatively when our advice is not taken. Looks like our dear Hissie has given you a hissy-fit As for Our Dear Hissie - best of luck finding a suitable spring for nothing or next to scylla x

If there's any left over after Scylla gets hers, can i have thum too, Jamesth...? and i certainly wouldn't want to pay £4.99 + p&p for a silly piddling wee spring either i know we live in a throwaway society but tbh, thats just ridiculous... my only concern would be, is the spring made of a softer metal rather than common or garden springs...to melt at lower temperatures, as it's supposed to be a safety feature?? Prof would know.... PROF!!!!!!

Thanks for the support peeps. I will buy a spares kit if it comes to it. I'm not in a rush, and I'm sure TW won't sell out in a hurry.

Looks like our dear Hissie has given you a hissy-fit scylla x When I was only trying to help find the parts required. Seems you all agree with hissie. Although she had already requested someone to buy her a service kit and she'd PayPal the money ... Then goes on to post about buying more e-liquid from TECC ... and doesn't purchase a service kit for £2.50 for herself? So I'll just keep my mouth shut in future. Thank you.

Yes that's because you look after your hardware. Chrissie, 79p if they were in stock .. and how much for p+p? Oh ... that'll be free if you spend over £15! TECC were selling the switch service kit for £2.50 .... and if one is already buying e-liquid .. the postage costs are already covered. Vapers' have enjoyed buying goods at 50% off list prices during the TECC closing down sale. The also had the chance to purchase spares at 50% off list price. Never before has so much e-cigarette hardware been sold so cheaply ... That vapers' have stocked up and cleared the shelves. The option to purchase cheap spares for components that might fail .. or get lost was available to everyone. The clue was in the title ... "Screwdriver MKII-Spare Switch Mechanism" www.totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk/products/electronic-cigarette-screwdriver/screwdriver-mkii-spare-switch-mechanism-product.htmlThe Screwdriver MKII uses a Switch Mechanism to make the contacts required to heat the atomiser and create the vapour the Screwdriver is Famous for. The Switch is a three part assembly comprising of. 1. Spring 2. Semi Threaded Screw. 3. Plastic Covered nut, that holds the Switch in place. These are essential spares for any Screwdriver MKII Owners. Why anyone would not purchase at least one of the above for £2.50, when purchasing a new Screwdriver MII at 50% off is beyond me. No research required!
