There have been reports of mobile phones blowing up all over the world and setting fire to petrol stations when filling up..Does it stop anyone from owning one?

Putting a malfunctioning USB hard drive can damage a motherboard and and e-cigs have blown up in people's mouths and embedded drip tips into their cheeks..

It's down to personal choice but saying it's going to put a strain on the motherboard or cause a catastrophic event is just hogwash..I have no wish to debate with Storm. I wished to make it very clear.

Yes it is down to personal choice Macca & IMHO it's pointless risking putting too much strain on a motherboard by trying to draw too much power from a lappie for the sake of a few quid. And yes, some mods have blown up due to folks doing stupid things like stacking unpaired batteries in them. Again, it's just not worth the risk.

I'm sure Storms feeling are mutual, but I'm also sure he is more than considerate enough to know that it would be very unfair to Trevor to state his feelings on this thread. So I'm going to draw a line under this.

Good morning all, Sorry I had no wish to start a controversial post to this thread, I was only stating what I had all ready read on this forum, whilst doing some homework before and after I had purchased one.

Anyway back to another question, the cigarettes’ I have smoked for around 20 odd years are listed as 1mg Tar & 0.1Mg Nicotine, the liquid I have purchased is 20Mg of Nicotine, I know there is no guide lines as how much one vamps… but it may explain my headaches as someone suggested last light that I’m taking on to much Nicotine if I’m thinking on the right lines! I think I’m taking in more than 100 times the nicotine I would take with having a fag!! ok I know I’m not taking in all the other chemicals, but I can’t quite get my head around all this, maybe I sound reduce the liquid down to 8Mg I hope you all get what I’m trying to ask here?

Don't panic trevor. It's different ways of expressing the nic content. The 0.1 shown on your fag packet is equivalent to 10mg liquid. So 20mg juice is twice that, not 100 times

You'll probably find yourself vaping more than what you would have done smoking Trevor, most of us do.

There's no beginning or an end to an ecig is there and as it's so enjoyable, it's easy to do.

Providing your keeping yourself well hydrated with fluid and aren't using a nicotine strength to high for your needs, personally I see no harm whatsoever in that practise. It's worth experimenting to see what strength of ejuice suits you.

Also don't forget, your body will absorb nicotine at a different rate, than what it would have done with tobacco cigs, so you may need to vape more regularly to feel ' satisfied '.

Trevor, it's also to do more with how many cigarettes you smoked as to what strength juice you need. Plus as Perpy says, we absorb the nicotine in a different way when vaping.

Your headache could be a sign of over vaping but also could just be one of countless symptoms that can crop up when you stop smoking!

Try experimenting with different strengths of juice. I tend to keep the 20mg strength for when i know I can only have a couple of puffs at a time. I recuce the strength I vape in the evenings, as I chain vape then

Good choice with the ebay link, I really like mine, very handy. i also use it with a passthrough as the cable on my passthrough isn't long enough to reach from my USB port on the desktop.

Hi One, I’m not at all questioning you advice but I would like to understand a little more about what you have said. How on earth can 0.1Mg represent 10mg is it to do with the way we absorb it, sorry maybe I’m being rather thick here as usual. I would like to understand what you have said a wee bit more please.

Also one point I can’t find any reference to on the forum, is that my tips seem to leak towards the mouth-piece I would assume it’s quite normal, but as the product is labels as toxic… I find myself drying my lips all the time on my tea shirt or tissue. I assume I’m being over cautious and possible on the verge of paranoia. :-)

Also sometimes condensation builds up on mouthpieces so it can be a good idea to take them of occasionally and dry.

You are right to be cautious but a little bit of nic juice won't do any harm in the mouth. We do have a couple of members who taste new juices this way

If you have a sensitive mouth it's probably best to rinse out with water if you have got any juice in there!

Trevor the 0.1mg quoted on a fag packet is the amount of nicotine per cigarette. The strength quoted on liquid is mg per ml, so they are different measures
In terms of your leak, are you using a vision/stardust/clearo type tank? If so, those mouthpieces screw in, not just push. SDome people overlook that initially

I smoke .6 nicotine ciggies and found the 24mg too strong

now I have tried 18mg I find it is spot on for me

so maybe x 3 is a guide

The strength quoted on fag packets is actually the amount of nicotine absorbed by us per cigarette on average..Tobacco in a unsmoked cigarette holds a lot more nicotine, roughly about 9 mg per cigarette of which about between 1-1.7 mg is delivered to the smoker's bloodstream. Studies have found that low nicotine cigarettes just leave pulling people harder and inhaling more smoke.

Cigarette smoke is very fine and the inhaled nicotine is delivered much more effectively into the bloodstream than vaping..There are several more factors but I won't bore you with all the details.

Comparing nicotine in cigarettes and e-liquid is really impossible as they really are completely unrelated..You just have to find the right balance of strength and vape to satisfy your craving..If you get headaches, nausea or giddiness, you know you are vaping too much and need to cut down.

I smoked 25 x 0.7mg cigs a day and I find that 12mg liquid is right for me. Everyone's different

maybe 12 would be good for me too

Hi trevor - a belated welcome from me too. I am a bit mystified that you are finding 1100mAh batteries don't last long between charges. Even a fairly heavy vaper should get at least a day out of one of those when it is fully charged. How long are you getting?
