The website is up and running. What do you want to see on it? www.eccauk.org/

I'd like to see a prominent feature dispelling fears re PG ( "it's antifreeze ") and giving commonsense info on the e-liquids. scylla

Ay Up Scylla Do you know of a report about PG or a scientist who can write a report on this for us? With something like this, we need to use our network of friends etc.. It is times like this when I really miss the VapersNetwork and the wonderful Kate Rusty

I don't have contacts, I'm afraid. There was some good info on ECF when they were preparing a report for something or other - for example, they found evidence going way back that PG had been successfully used as an antibiotic spray... I wonder if an extract from the NZ scientist's report would be any good? www.healthnz.co.nz/RuyanCartridgeReport30-Oct-08.pdfThat report gets criticised because it was commissioned by Ruyan. scylla

I am new to all of this and just want to ask where do I start with the 'political' side of things. I'm a member on here and ECF but I understand these are forums. Is there an official group to sign up to? I'm not wanting an official role, just member status. Somewhere to add my name to the growing ranks and show my support.
I hope you understand what I mean, can't seem to phrase it right.

Maybe it's a point for me to raise on the Skype meeting tonight Lee.

Very confusing live broadcast, very laggy and missed half of what people were saying. Was that you at the end suggesting an agenda?

Yes it was Lee . . . I thought that an agenda/order of business published on the website in advance of a meeting would be helpful to everyone.
Plus perhaps, suggestions as to what issues vapers would like to be discussed at these virtual meetings
The sound did keep breaking up sadly, but it's new territory ( especially for me ) so there are bound to intial glitches to work through - I think the clever technical people are looking for an alternative hosting chat site - problem is these things will cost money I would imagine.

Great shame Ckc, but there's real promise I think . . . like many voluntary organisations though it will need people who are prepared to take an active part in the 'business' or else it will fall on the shoulders of just a few.
I lost connection in Scott's . . . but it was easier to follow.

I liked Scotts room, especially the way you could select who to watch/listen to. Just a shame it was just loads of "Can you hear me?" "No, can you hear me?" etc, etc. If it was organised with the chair just speaking to start with then people being able to chime in (literally) on text it might work better.
I also think an agenda is a must, otherwise it just descends into a free for all with some taking it more seriously than others. I know vaping is a fun, carefree and enjoyable activity but someone needs to take it as seriously as the government will when they get hold of it.

I'm used to quite structured meeting procedures Lee, that we have on the local council I serve on and did think of mailing Roly with a few suggestions on procedure . . . . although I'd hate him to think I was trying to teach my granny to suck eggs . . . plus I think the sound problems didn't help the order of business at all.

I think everyone is wanting the same thing it's just a matter of co-ordinating efforts. I'm just listening to the first meeting on VTTV trying to catch up.

I think another good idea would be some faces on the website so we know who's who. At the moment I'm a bit confused as to who is at the forefront of this initiative.
