If you ordered this evening, it'll all be delivered Saturday. I also ordered mine on a Thursday evening, I was going on holiday on the Saturday. Got told by these knowing folks that it would be here, but set off completely forgetting about it! Got as far as the local town (5 minutes away), turned round and came back home to pick up the post. Opened it all in the car on the way to Whitby, tried it that evening and was AMAZED!!!

<quote>Just wish my time of 'vaping' had been a few thousand pounds ago</quote>
OH YES!!!!!
My OH (Alex) is Canadian, and we do really want to get back to Canada to live at some point. Being the age I am, and having no money, I was of the opinion it was never going to happen. The amount of money I am saving might just give me some hope? And the amount I am saving just these last 3 weeks is a lot!
I have had 3 "proper" cigs today, so I'm not as good as some of you that are purely vaping. But it's a big achievement for me. I also think it's just because they are there and I'm not giving them away! Still the same 200 sleeve from 3 weeks ago, and still 4 packs left though, so that's 120 smoked. I'd normally have gone through about 850 cigs by now.

Just to add my bit - apparently almonds are very good at lowering cholestrol.

Chrissie,
I think the 15% discount code is ECR69 - I just saw it on another thread I responded to.

Hissie, as a recent newbie with the Riva, I did have a few problems, but sorted out on here with help from the more experienced.
It was exactly the same sort of questions you are asking that I was bothered about. I was a heavy smoker, and think I just have it about right now with the amount of juice I put in. Once a cartridge is filled for the first time, and you start vaping, you will get to know when to drip another couple of drops in, as it will start "not hitting the spot" and/or not as much vapour.
I am in seventh heaven if I get it just right, and tend to keep the same cartidge going all day, just dripping a couple of drops in every hour or so. Because it's not like a normal cig, in having to be lit, you can pick it up and put it down when you want. Sometimes I chain vape, and sometimes I leave it for half an hour or so, have a quick drag, then go off and do something else. It all depends on how many you used to smoke, what your habits are, and if you like it. (We all do!). You can vape as much or as little as you want. I guess your body tells you if you have enough nicotine in you or not, exactly like wanting a fag?
I had a crisis a few days ago when nothing seemed to be working ok. But I think I flooded the atomiser. I blew it out, and tried again. Still it didn't seem to be working. So I left that one, screwed another attie in and started all over with a fresh cartridge and it all righted itself. The attie that didn't appear to be working was fine the next day and I'm still using it.
Yes, you can keep some filled cartridges ready. I've not done that as yet, but plan to do so if I am out and about for any length of time, or on a plane journey for instance. I got a little case in my last order from James (£2) so I can keep all my stuff together.
I did also take all the filler out of the spare carts the other day, wash it all under plain cold water, left it to dry and am using it again. I don't have any spare stuff, although I do have some blue that Jaki sent me to try and am getting used to that also. That's more like sponge than polyester like.
Hope this helps.

The most popular appears to be LnB. My favourite is Benson Fences. A bit stronger than LnB in my opinion. But wait for the others to also say. I used to smoke 40+ a day so went for the 36mg strength. I also bought a Riva as my first venture into vaping and on the whole I've been really pleased with it. Hope this helps.

Glad you like it perpetua, keep at it! Welcome to the Riva Fan Club!
I've just worked out that I am probably having more nicotine than I ever did with cigs....because I am vaping at my desk and not having to go out for a proper cig?
Last night I washed up the ash tray in the kitchen and put it in a cupboard - I don't need it in there any more! Another admission about how much I smoked, fancy having to have an ashtray in the kitchen!?

I've got a little stiff brush (mind bggles!) and use this for running along the gaps in the keyboard, brush it to the end and lift out all the cat fur. Turn keyboard upside down and give it a bash, that gets the crumbs out. You can lift all your keys off, stick them in a bowl of soapy water and leave for a while. Wrap them in a tea towel, stick in the tumble dryer or airing cupboard for a few hours. Good as new!

Hissie,
Welcome to the board. There seems to be a couple of you asking the same thing. Look for Letties post (newbie) and you will see what both me and Hanow have said on her thread as well.
Good luck!

Hi Lettie,
Welcome to the group. We are all willing to help.
I am a newbie of 3 weeks or so, there were a few of us who joined aorund the same time. I think we all went for the Riva from Liberty Flights. You can choose a colour, I don't think there is a purple, but there is a pink! I'm still learning and so can't give you any other advice than what I already know. I have posted on here a few times with problems, but quickly got sorted out with the groups help.
We went for the Riva as being one of the easiest to go for, plus long battery life. I order my juice from James at Paradise Vape.
To start, you need a kit each and some juice. As a smoker of 40 - 50 a day of John Play Black, I went for a high juice of 36mg, and I went for tobacco taste of Benson Fences, although the most popular is LnB.
Read some of the other newbie threads to find out how we are all doing and what the suggestions are.
Hope this helps.

Now I've unscrewed it all and let it rest, it seems to be working better. There is still a a couple of seconds lapse in it swtiching off, but at least it's not staying on all the time.
Fundy thing is, when it first arrived, one of the batteries (this one?) did appear to sometimes stay on longer after release, but then it stopped doing that.

Could any of you that have the Riva tell me if you have had any trouble with the button to switch it on and off? I ask because one of my batteries is playing up. When I release the button, it doesn't turn off.
I had to quickly unscrew everything as it was in danger of burning out my attie, and boy, was the attie hot!
Should I contact Liberty?

Update - (it says Wednesday because of the time difference).
Eastmall International Co.,Ltd ------------------------------------------------------ Order Number: 11379 Detailed Invoice: order_id=11379 Date Ordered: Wednesday 07 July, 2010 ------------------------------------------------------ Order Tracking number(s): EMS (1): EE467908337CN
Typical transit times from Mainland China to your country are 3-4 days via air and a further 2-3 days for processing through your customs. Delivery agents then take 1-2 days to deliver to your door. Always allow 7-10 business days for each order from the time of dispatch to avoid disappointment. If your order is untrackable after 7 business days, you are welcome to contact us for a shipping enquiry.
So you can all track it if you like!

I feel really bad about Scylla missing out. She PM'd me today with her order and I had to tell her I'd submitted it last night. I haven't ordered anything 901 (I just bought 5 packs LR 510's) so I can't even share mine with her.
She's all upside down and inside out at the moment. I just thought she didn't want anything. I should have PM'd her or emailed her. (kick, kick, kick!)
And she's been such a brick to me, we emailed a few times before I joined this board.
