Playing catch up with the posts -
Wow, Hanow - well done! What a hell of a change in one dog. Congratulations, she's a credit to you.
Yes, the RSPCA programme was the one with the scratches on the doors and the skeletons. It was horrific.
How can folks treat animals like that?

Jaki,
Your picture is lovely - Aggie was SO lucky to find you and choose you as her new Mummy!
I watched one of those RSPCA rescue things on TV a few days ago, and I was in floods over the cats and kittens they found at one house in the most appalling circumstances and mess you could imagine. The RSPCA had to put masks on to go in the house, and even then their eyes were watering from all the ammonia. Nuff said? !!

Hello and welcome.
I am new to this lark too, and went for the Riva because of the battery after reading the review on here.
It's good, but I have nothing to compare it with having no others. It does me. I used to smoke 40-50 ready mades a day.
It's not too much faffing all told. When it comes, charge the battery for a while. Take out the filling in the cart, drip about 6 drops in, put the filling back in, drip two more drops in, push into the attie and take a drag! I use e-juice from Paradise Vape. 36ml strength.
Read some of the other newbie threads, where you can learn more and read up on all our experiences.

Welcome to the group!
Might be a silly question, but did the kit you got come with pre-filled (with e-juice) cartridges? Mine came with blanks, and you put your own preferred flaour/strength in. Mayb eif the ones you had were pre-filled, it's not strong enough?
As a newbie also, but a heavy smoker, like you, I went for the 36ml strength from James at Paradise Vape. The most popular one seems to be LnB, but I like the Benson Fences.
Get your order in quick though, as James is off on his jollies on the 12th, posting up to the 10th he says.
Hope this helps.

I would think there will be some indication, otherwise I'll have to open the packs. From the ones I have now, the LR don't have as long a gold bit on them?
As I said the LR 510's were by far the biggest part of the order - 13 packs!

Hi Ken,
Welcome!
If you have been lurking on here for a week or more, you will probably know that I am also a newbie. I joined and started vaping around the same time as Hanow.
I am 58 years old, been smoking since I was 16, and was up to 40-50 a day. I was convinced that nothing would work for me.
I LIKED SMOKING !!
I didn't want to give up, I still don't.
I hadn't tried to give up before but had used patches and gum and lozenges when I was in situations where I couldn't nip out for a fag. In truth, I gave up one job because I had to stay at my desk for 4/5 hours without an outside break and I couldn't cope with the stress of that.
Even though I now have a job when I can go outside whenever I want, I was interested in this vaping lark, partly because of my health, and partly 'cos of the money! When you plan your holidays around leaving enough weight free in your suitcase to bring back thousands of cigs, and have to save up extra dosh to bring £1000 of cigs back, that's when it hits you about just how much you are spending on smoking?
I NOW LOVE VAPING!!!!
It works - it's virtually the same as smoking - if it's done correctly, there is no difference. I have found the whole journey amazing.
I still smoke normal cigs, currently around 5 a day - just because occasionally it's easier to grab a fag rather than re-charge your e-cig. But I don't care - that's 40 normals a day less which is around £10 per day saved?
Today we went to a posh garden centre, all undercover. I vaped!!! I don't know if anyone saw me, and I didn't care. It was lovely being able to stay in the place and not keep having to nip outside.
Hope the above helps, Ken. And yes, we are friendly and lovely and helpful and kind and caring and supportive and .......

Okie dokie....
The order is submitted - came to a total of $391 which is $376 for the order and $15 P&P. I paid via Paypal and the exchange rate there was $1.47907 to £1, total converting to £264.36
I'll work out each individual cost based on the £UK and split the P&P between the 6 of us that ordered.
Plus any customs charges will be aportioned, if that makes sense? (Those that ordered $20 will be charged twice what someone ordering $10 will pay.) I'm hoping we don't get hit and it sneaks through! I used to sell silver charms on eBay once upon a time, and ordered my stock from the USA. 9 times out of 10 I never got walloped for any charges.
Please let me know if you think the above is a fair way to charge?
Just have to sit and wait for postie man now!
I still need addresses from some of you - Raggy, Lilac, Jaki. PM me with them please.
When I post the items to you, I will include my Paypal details (send as a gift payment so I don't get hit with charges), and my bank account details if you want to pay via online transfer. You can also pay by cheque.
Did I forget anything?

You can pay when you get back from hols, buck. Not a problem. I have no idea how long the order will take to get here, then I have to wait and see if we have customs charges. I can tell you right now that the biggest order is for...........LR atties! I think we've all gone for them!

Chrissie,
Yes, I buy the Royal Canin (dry) also. I get it online from Nutrecare.
We did have four cats, mum, two daughters, one son. We always had them with us, but had to ask my daughter to look after them at the last job we had (live in) as they didn't allow pets. We went to see them regularly of course, and really the mum and one of the daughters was my daughters originally anyway. So when we moved here and came to get them back, my daughter wanted to keep her two, so now we just have the two each.
So, yes, insurance for four was expensive and we never bothered.
While we had the four, it cost more to feed them as I couldn't say to three of them - "that's his biscuits, you have your own cheaper ones"! They all ended up with the Royal Canin.

Jaki,
It makes perfect sense - I think!
I will do the order as planned tomorrow evening.
Enjoy your wine!

As I said earlier, we have two cats, brother and sister.
A few years ago, the male was very lethargic and obviously ill. I took him to the vets, who felt his tummy and said he had a major blockage in his urethra and his bladder was on the point of bursting. She stuck a needle in through his abdomen and drained off loads of pee. The relief on his little face, was a joy to behold, and he purred all the way through. To cut a long story short, he ended up having his penis chopped off, and not once did he complain about having anything done to him. He is a big softie and the vets wanted to keep him as a "training aid" as you can do anything to him and he doesn't mind.
I paid over £2,000 over a period of weeks to get him better. We didn't have pet insurance as I thought it was too expensive! (We still don't!) He now has to have special vetinary diet so he doesn't get struvite crystals any more.
Then a couple of years later, the sister broke her leg and it cost us about £500 to get that sorted!
There was no question about us not getting either of them healed and better.

I favour the Benson Fences, a bit of a heavier tobacco taste, my significant others goes for the LnB.
