I have used and can easily get both direct from the pharmaceutical companies - but can't really say that i've noticed me having a preference - or really noticing the difference. I think that nic salt might be noticed more, and be a good introduction to vaping for new vapers just making the switch - as i gather the nic absorption is supposed to be quicker - but for 'Old timers' - it makes less of a difference

Aloha TBH the lowest juice consumption i remember was back in the day of using a low res (2 Ohm LoL) carto in a carto tank - on Throathits copper mech mod - a 5ml tank would last me a day+ LoL Next lowest - a sub ohm tank - 0.5 Ohm coil but using 36mg juice - and maybe 3ml a day I usially use less juice using an MTL RBA tank - 1.5-2Ohm - and 16-18mg juice these days - maybe 5ml But being in mainland China - easier for me to buy 800mg nic than vaping hardware

As a former smoker and now 12+ year vaper - I recently, had a surprising revelation - despite having studied Psychology at University - I've been an undiagnosed ADHD 'beneficiary'!
My smoking/vaping behaviour is as much to do with an ADHD displacement activity as it is about the nicotine. Fidgeting is one syptom of ADHD and I don't - but I did smoke and then vape instead. As a smoking alternative, my health prognosis has improved significantly - if you add to that the possible ADHD medication that vaping has meant I haven't needed to ask a doctor for - then that's hugely beneficial too.
I wonder what percentage of smokers and now vapers (especially zero nic) are actually attracted to the calming and Dopamine producing benefits that 'Neurodivergent' (ADHD, Autism etc often are deficient in Dopamine) are being attracted to whereas previously this was typically gotten from Cigarettes, over indulgence in eating or alcohol?
And these aspects are being ignored by researchers not only mainstream media 😳

Aloha One and All i've been using the Voopoo Drag X Pro in 21700 as a Auto Draw additon to my Vape rotation for over 6 months (maybe 9 i changed phones and lost the digital receipt) - and the first Auto switch to have lasted so long Amogst the other voopoo devices i've had - i threw all the accompanying coils in a box and basically forgot about them - you know the 'In Case of Emergencies' options. Well i was looking for a coil - and saw one that i didn't recognise that looked interesting - but couldn't read the etching on it - so primed it and popped it in a pod - expecting from the look of it compared to the others and the usual 1.0 Ohm MTL option - it to be in the 0.3-0.8 range - so was surprised that it actually read 1.2 ohms. Being perfectly honest - the standard 'come with the device' MTL 1.0 Ohm PnP coils were umimpressive in both vapour and flavour production - just OK - so a higher Ohm varaition didn't fill me with any real enthusiasm! How WRONG i was!!! The 1.2 PnP-TR1 - are very probably THE BEST PNP coil i've tried - and one of the best premade coils on any device - for my preference of vaping!!! I still had a few boxes of coils left (0.3, 1.0, 0.15) - but was just thinking that once i'd finished them i doubt that i'd buy more - when i randomly discovered the 1.2 Ohm - and have now ordered 4 boxes from me Vape dealer! The vape quality via Auto swich is spot on with an Abundant yet not excessive vapour production and 'texture' - and the Flavour production has taken the DIY juice that i last made and considered a decent ADV (All Day Vape) to the next level of Tastiness And yes they still are excellent without the Auto draw switch Vaping mainly on the Voopoo Drag X Pro, with 21700 at 9W

For most of the last year(ish) I’ve been enjoying the auto vaping experience from first the Voopoo Argus and then when their Auto switches eventually failed, switching to a Drag X Pro – same PnP pod, but powered by a 21700 battery – and whilst that’s still working well (aside from a battery door issue) – really wanted a RTA MTL experience again – like the ‘good old days’ when 5ml was a HUGE tank and an 18650 mod could last all day.
My online Vape dealer here, is pretty good at finding the odd thing if you ask him via WeChat (kinda Chinese Whatsapp – without the privacy, but with payment, location and much more functionality) – and he let me know that he was going to be getting the Vandy Vape B3 in if I’d be interested. Did a quick lookie around and thought why not – might be good with all the added bits etc, and non-glass options too.
For those of you that may remember, (and anyone that doesn’t) I’m much more interested in the Shape of the Vape – the vapour ‘qualities’, the texture and mouth feel, the speed of the draw experience than a Flavour Hound or Cloud Chaser, but also pragmatic in that Battery and Juice efficiency are important too. The Pod experience was good-ish – but because of the Auto draw – as soon as the Switch failed I lost interest – and the juice use and battery inefficiency were excessive.
The B3’s arrival was quite highly anticipated – watched the usual YT reviews and waited the few days digging out coils and cotton I’d tucked away – as you do. The packaging was nice, and when the box was opened it came with a really interesting selection of ‘bits’ and accessories not usually offered. Not only the usual coil, cotton, screwdriver/allen key, but 3 Drip Tip choices – 2 Glass and 2 PEI tanks – a 2ml and 6ml (with extension tube) in both materials. For travelling purposes (as well as potential clumsiness, non-glass is good for me). Then there’s the 4 Airflow ‘pipes’ – 0.8, 1.2, 1.4 and 2mm – with no adjustable airflow on the B3 itself. These are ‘press fit’ – and can be easily swapped ‘in situ’, at any time, without disturbing the coil you’re running. A little different, but as long as the wick is sufficiently packed – it also means Zero leakage – if the wicking is loose – it’s going to gush out though LoL. Discovered, through trial and error, the old ‘Bunny Ears’ method works, but drop an extra small piece of cotton underneath the ‘Ears’ before you tuck them in – and never get a leaking problem!
The tank itself is nicely machined, and can be detached easily (upside down of course) and the coil and wick can be tweaked easily without having to worry about the glass falling off or having to drain the juice first. The only issue is it comes as a 2ml tank and getting the glass out is tricky at first – my advice would be to vape a tank or 2 in mini mode first for lubrication and then it should come off easily to swap to the PEI or the the larger 6ml options with the extension tube too.
Tried a few options – and so far my preference has proved to be: Vandy Vape Superfine Fused Clapton coils – 30/38 2.5mm 0.7Ohm – but wrapping the legs an extra turn each which come in at around 0.86Ohms. Eventually found some wire online here (trickier than it sounds with the language barrier and things) – NiCr 0.32mm 8-9 wraps @ 1.3ish Ohms – which vapes nicely and 50m for less than £3. Flash Wick cotton – having tried all the varieties I had and bought some new too – cotton Bacon (+ Prime), Muji. ThunderBolt SL, Chinese SL etc, the best option, for the B3 at least, for flavourlessness, wicking and longevity (24-36+ hours without a flavour drop off) The Long DT for softer, slow relaxed 8mg home vaping on the Smok Fortis A smaller DT (pictured above not included) in 2ml, high nic on the Cubis mini for out and about stealth vaping – with the same coil and wick set up.
So me basic set up has turned out to be: 5ml tank, with the 1.2 air flow bit, 8-9 wraps of 0.32mm NiCr wire, Flash Wick cotton – roughly 1.3Ohms at 18W – and the longer DT.
Cracking vape – swapped back to a more tobacco based DIY juice – and 65/35 PG/VG – less ‘sugar’ in the flavours and higher PG makes the coil/wick last longer. Even switching from 60/40 increased the coil/wick use by a few hours – and currently getting good flavour and vapour production for 24+ hours consistently!

Living, as I do in China - the smallest size bottle for flavour concentrates from either Hello Cig , or Xi'an Taima - both on Facebook - is 120ml which works quite nicely ☯️

Having been recommended a Vandy Vape B3 by me Vape dealer here in China - thought I'd give it one I try - an now have 2! But needed some more MTL wire, and he basically only sells pre-made coils and there's a huge dirth in online Vape sellers (at least with even a modicum of English) Managed to discover this (non vape specific) NiCr wire - 0.32mm as no AWG Standards here Less than £3 for 50m seems reasonable - and a good enough vape that the pre-builts are being ignored. 8ish wraps 2.5mm reading 1.11Ohms For wick - having tried the limited varieties available to me (Thunderbolt, Cotton Bacon Prime an amongst others) at around a fiver for 2 17g packs, has been the be best, for longevity, flavour and value - 24+ hours per wicking is good. Feels like a real 'old Skool' vaping experience 🥰 Just need to up me DIY JUICE game again 😜

Aloha One and All Living in China - there are zero Nic restrictions of course - once you actually manage to source a company that is - BUT sales of directly related Ecig hardware and juice have been banned on the main online shopping platforms for the Chinese maianland for about 4 years now - so mods, attys, pods and liquid - but independent ecig websites are allowed as are Bricks and Mortar shops. I buy my nic directly from a pharma company - same with my flavours here - Capella and nic from one - and the PG/VG and other flavours (Halo tobaccos etc) from the other. They are on FB and deliver Worldwide with Customer solution focused service! NB To clarify - by Zero Nic restrictions - I mean I can buy 0-800mg here

As it's that Hayfever time again - i thought i'd update the thread Almost 6 years later - and the nettle vape is still working fine (me Ma lives in rural Ireland and so picking the Nettles there are near as damn it organic (rubber gloves recommended) 9 early spring (now is OK though) and hanging them to dry can keep me going (for free) for the whole summer. This time of year, i found that vaping a bowl in the morning - then after lunch, after dinner and before bed - was enough to keep all but the odd snuffle at bay. Height of the season - vapng as and when required again worked effectively - for me. Minimised symptomes at worsed - and zero Bronchitis. Hope this helps Currently living and teaching English in China though - and don't get any symptoms of hayfever here at all - but if i head home in July - the Vape and Nettles has worked

Totally agree stu1873 - the Invoke is an awesome dinky mod - but the battery door is shite - owned 2 and both battery doors now don't close fully. I 'upgraded' recently to the Joytech Ultex T80 - as a screw bottom cap is more 'drop friendly' - and am very happy with the Cubis Max tank that comes with the kit. My favourite back up - the Cubis mini - is now available for less than 15 quid - 2200mAh and '80W' - but i usually have an RTA at 20W so get 5+ hours

OK - been away for a while but surprised that no one's made a thread for the 3CVape Savour RTA. I'm mainly a MTL vaper, though i suppose kinda a hybrid vaper due to availablitly rather than preference - and even managed to partially MTL subtanks etc. This is one of the reasons i prefer a single coil Rebuildable 0 which, at least in China, are in somewhat limited supply. I was still using me OBS Engine Nano - which with a 0.8-1.0 coil set up was an OK hybrid vape at lower W's but then i stumbled across the Savour whilst 'window shopping' online. Online shopping is HUGE in China but as i don't read Chinese and the search terms don't appear to translate well, i often stumble across things by accident. Initially i just saw that it was a nice simple top fill Single coil tank - until i did the Youtube search and discovered Vaping Vic's video - and that got me intrigued and at 279.36Rmb (under 33 Quid) not a bad price for the build quality and MTL promise. So designed with Vaping Vic as a restricted lung hit MTL device - with a choice of 2 positive post airways - tight or extra tight depending on your preference. So got a Black one - which comes with 2 tanks - a Clear Glass and a smoked 'plastic' tank (for materials check the proper reviews ) which suits me as i don't use tank cracking juices and it gives me more forgiveness when dropped. It comes with the less restictive more DL installed - but easy enough to switch for the MTL one supploed in the box. The build quality is excellent, worthy of an Atty at twice the price and threads smooth as. The treaded top fill is easy with huge holes (but can somethimes be a pain to get off). Building on the deck is straightforward and allows for 3.5mm coils. I enjoyed this enough that i went and bought a second in Stainless steel before 'China runs out'! At only 22mm it fits on most old devices such as me Cuboid mini - still me preferred back up in my bag mod. I actually have one Savour as a MTL and one as a restricted DL as usually down the 'pub' (my local Chinese bar that sells decent Belgian beers and imported IPA's) i often switch preferences. If anyone enjoys MTL vaping, doesn't mind rebuilding, and 22mm - then i can highly recommend the Savour - relatively inexpensive and hits the spot. I should definitely also mention that the domed chamber is quite small - which produces eccellent flavour too! For a more thorough written review: 3Cvape Savour RTA Review
