My first job was to try and dilute the Boots VG, just adding 10% demineralised water. Only problem was that it's too viscous to be sucked into the syringe using a blunt needle. You need a 14 Guage needle like the ones referenced below, available at many places.... The bigger needle makes it easy to suck up thicker liquids. www.liberty-flights.co.uk/product.asp?id=26Brilliant - thanks for the tip

Nic juice arrived to day, one litre of 50mg VG. Thought I'd have a go at Frogster's Banana Cream, and try and make a little batch of Butterscotch cream at the same time.
My first job was to try and dilute the Boots VG, just adding 10% demineralised water. Only problem was that it's too viscous to be sucked into the syringe using a blunt needle. So in the end, just pored the VG into a syringe with my finger over the end, and after a bit of fiddling managed to decant enough for the mixes I was making. Then spent a while clearing up the gloopy spillage ...ooops.
Similar problem when dealing with the Nic base, so this time dipped the syringe in less the needle. That was a bit more tricky, it's a big bottle and despite wearing gloves I was being extra careful. Maybe need to decant from the one litre bottle into something a bit more manageable.
In the end managed to make up a couple of mixes without making too much of a mess, but it was difficult with the limited supply of syringes and small bottles that I have. Think I might invest in some graduated cylinders, should be easier than the syringe methods.
Now going to wait patiently until tomorrow...tum ti tum....Thanks for your great posts Frogster, will report back

I have a similar problem sometimes and have wondered if the juice has been overheated by enthusiastic vaping? I am using ego c batteries, so no high voltage, and the coils are 2.4 ohms.
They can taste a bit like burnt plastic, seems to affect the sweeter more delicate juices. Also the colour of the juice tends to darken, which I again wondered may be due to getting too hot. Not sure of the PG VG ratios, but they are thin compared to others I have seen, so guessing they are high in PG.
I have cleaned the V3s out, then changed the coil, and all seems ok again for a while.

My pleasure Frog, good to hear they're working for you . . . the other guys have been quite quiet on their dripping results, hope they're getting on ok. I need for my taste buds to have a resurgence, as I can't taste a thing right now. Still waiting for my NicVape order to arrive, everything else is ready and waiting. Did try an atty on some exisiting juices and it worked fine, thank you Perpetua. As a major shareholder of CCW, I'm sure they will be getting some use soon

I've got a small collection of V3 Vision Ego Rebuildable Clearomisers, bought as part of a starter kit. I've been using them for 3 weeks or so with no problems. Over the last few days, two of my favourites, a tobacco and a butterscotch, have started tasting of plastic.
Is this how you know they have reached the end of their life? I have some replacement coils & wicks, so for the time being I have just cleaned one out, and left it to dry.
How do you know when it's time to change the coil? Is the plastic taste normal?

I work in a fairly large head office building, with maybe 1000 staff on site. I'd guess there are 100 plus smokers all together, some of whom are already vapers. I had thought about approaching the company with a view to getting vaping put on the corporate map, as a harm reduction tool, and to generally help with the wellbeing of the smoking staff.
I was talking to someone in the HR department, just to float the idea, and one of the discussions was about maybe trying to find a vendor that would give extra "corporate" discount. The feedback was that vaping would have to become "mainstream" and the vendor a substantial recognised supplier before the company could consider having any sort of financial relationship. Hence the idle thoughts about the future of vaping.
Have to agree with all the comments about taxation, although I suspect that research funded by the pharmaceutical industry will be the first major obstacle.

I'm more of a lurker than a poster, and being new to vaping, have followed many of the newbie threads. In my short time as a vaper, I have managed to introduce many work colleagues and friends to the pleasures, some of whom are off the analogues completely. (Thank you Jason) Unlike me by the way, I still smoke 5 or six a day, but can see a time when I will quit "smoking" for good.
It seems to me that the vaping genie is out of the bottle, despite the efforts of big pharma, government, the medical establishment, the tobacco companies etc. Although I suspect that vaping will have a rough ride in the coming years as vested interest groups try to protect themselves, through legislation, taxation, and biased research.
I, and I'm sure many others have thought about jumping on the E Cig bandwagon, setting up a little online business and combining an absorbing hobby with making a living. But after looking around the proliferation of vendors, I suspect that the marketplace is already quite crowded.
My idle thoughts are to do with what would happen if a seriously big player entered the market. I'm certain the tobacco giants, and to a lesser extent the big pharmaceutical companies will one day change sides. They have the scale to ride the legislation that is almost bound to follow, once vaping becomes mainstream.
In the long term, will vaping become another arm of the established mega industrials, Glaxo, Johnsons and the like. Or will the cottage industry vendors continue to thrive?

I'll have these Des if you still have them. I've only got a couple of juices so far, so these will add to the research. Will keep looking out for some juice collections on here to help in narrowing down juices that we like. Let me know if OK and I will do Paypal. Thanks Bob

Wow - blown away by the responses guys thank you, an interesting mix of views. I'm in no great hurry to go Big Bang myself, just very happy that I've reduced my intake, that will help fund the fortune I've just spent on Ecig stuff:) Think we'll take our time to acclimatise and it will happen when it happens.
We're off to the states in a couple of weeks, no smoking in the hotel or hire car, so hoping we can get our respective Ecigs working well before then.
Very impressive results from all of you, what a friendly supportive place this is. Quite excited at the prospect of replacing the evil weed with a social pastime and a fabulous support group here. Cheers - Bob
