I gave up late last night after popping 6 coils or so. Tried re oxidising the mesh, loose wraps, PK method, dripping on the coil, gentle fire ups....all failed. Going to make a new wick tonight and start all over again

Also used wires.co.uk. I got some .15 & .20 Kanthal, plus their 400 mesh as a starter

Having similar problems, just pulled the head apart and it's thick with what looks like carbon deposits. Gives a burnt almost plastic taste, so going to try a mesh wick and see if that lasts any better.

"As a forum, we are in the best one, IMVHO. So when one of the guys puts anything for sale. They are expecting it to go to one of his "buddies". So when somebody unknown takes it, or even enquires about it, my shackles go up > . " I've been a member of this forum since July, and probably lurked for 5 or 6 weeks prior to joining up. I'm not a serial poster by any means, tending to read lots if not most posts, but fairly rarely feel that I have very much to contribute, especially to "social" threads. I have started a couple of threads, and I agree that it is probably the friendliest forum on the interweb (apart for a hobby related forum that I am Admin for) I was recently in the right place and at the right time to buy a Penelope through the classifieds (it's great). I also bought a couple of used DCTs and some juices when I first started vaping. My post count was low, and I had no problem with the sellers. I think trying to limit access to the classifieds to "senior" members would be a retrograde step, I'm sure many newbies get their first batch of juices or even a used shiny through the forum, as I did. It would be a shame to limit their access to some good deals, just to try and hinder a few commercial opportunists.

I use cotton wicks in my nova... so #500 is better than #400 in your opinion? Best place Macca, please? And whats the best place to get kanthal .20? I've just ordered Kanthal and #400 mesh from here: wires.co.uk/acatalog/e-cig_iatty_atomizer_wire.htmlI'm a novice, but thought the prices looked OK. Thanks Perps for the link. Bob

Thanks to Frogster and others, now a definite convert to home mixing.
Has anyone tried any savoury flavours? I've found a supplier who does quite a wide range, including some of the standard potato crisp type flavours, smokey bacon, cheese & onion etc.
Maybe they don't lend themselves to juices, but surprised that I've not heard them mentioned anywhere.

A smoker came to join three of us in the smoking shelter at work last week. As he went to light up the flint popped out of his lighter, "anybody got a light" he asked. Err no we're all vaping, could give you a jump start though.....

I ordered a litre from them about six weeks ago. No problem with customs, just came direct to my house.
