So sorry to hear that lynwlt and at such a young age, but at least he is not suffering now, although you are. Would love a dog again myself, but the thought of losing them plus the ridiculous vet bills puts me off.  RIP Toby |

Full marks to the police & MU for the swift dealing with this incident.
Also full marks to the security company boss for 'putting his hands up' so quickly and taking responsibility.
It was a mistake, lessons learned, and probably a 'wake up' call in light of the Euros around the corner, plus a damned good training session when no-one was pre-warned.
Just wish the media would stop looking for 'scapegoats' just to make a story, and hang people out to dry.

Jane @johanino I've also had this the last few days (Win 7), but what has also been strange is the blizzard of Windows updates over the same period. Normally once a month, but now had them each day for the last 3 days... coincidence Anyway since I installed tonight's updates, no problems (famous last words)  |

Had a visit recently from the local Fire & Ambulance Safety Service (apparently they look after vulnerable people... just want to know who gave them my name!). She caught me in my PJs, and totally unprepared for ANY visitor. Anyway thought it best to let her into my hovel. 'Have you got a smoke detector' she said... 'Yes, but I've taken the batteries out, because it goes off if I strike a match' I said. Well, I let her fit a new one, free of charge, and although embarrassed at being caught out unawares, let it go. Now, the damn thing has gone off and I've been running around like a lunatic to find the source... nothing! ETA: This is beginning to sound like a FB post... 'I had cucumber sandwiches for tea'...  |

As we say farewell to the Boleyn Ground after 112 years and on to our new home. Many many memories from childhood and adulthood.
