Thanks joeten ... I was just not happy with the fact that I had NOT positively agreed. Times have changed, but I guess I've not, just need to keep up.

Several occasions the next day delivery has been a few days later but not often, luckily I get a student discount so my prime membership comes half price, not sure whether I would pay full price for it though as it's £70 isn't it ? Good around Xmas time though as all of my Xmas shopping is done online to avoid the crowds ! You've just added insult to injury... because you're so flipping YOUNG! Thanks though.

Have just been on to Amazon to re-order some Nautilus coils, plus a few other items to bring it up to £20+ for free shipping. Total came to £30, and in the checkout process, up came the Prime offer. Clicked on 'remind me later' but come the checkout I found that I had started my 'free trial'. Was going to cancel everything, but after a few minutes of contemplation and a refill of my glass, I decided to let it go as a test of if they could get 4 different suppliers to get me my order tomorrow.
Anyone had good or bad experiences with their Prime service... is it worth it?

Please can I go back to the 60s... I could go back a lot further, but no-one wants to hear about 'outside lavs' and yesterday's Daily Sketch for toilet paper... do they?

Just back from 2 weeks of house / dog sitting, saw this thread, and been trawling through a load of old photos... sorry about the quality, took it on my phone, no scanner. This is me in the 50s at Trafalgar Square, where the only thing you had to worry about were the pigeons. How times have changed. I was hoping for a good nights sleep, after sharing a bed with the dog, but I'm now in nostalgic mood, going through the photos.
PS... just noticed that the OP (tedster) has gone again... come back, my friend.

After 7 decades on this planet, I've never been more depressed about how the world is going. We have stupid wars, terrorists, famine, disease, fraud in billions, acid attacks by kids just out of short trousers etc (could go on and on)... and then we have public paid 'servants' concerned about an extra 2ml of a liquid (plus related items) that is saving lives.

Thought I'd better come on to celebrate my 5 year anniversary (in common with a few others on here recently ), mainly to give encouragement to all those new to this vaping lark, that it DOES work. I can remember my little ego kit arriving from Liberty Flights with apple, strawberry and blueberry flavours, thinking 'what have I wasted my money on now' running through my head. Well, from the first attempt I knew it would work, and have never even thought about 'lighting up' since. The only problem is, where's the £13k stated on my banner below, cos it ain't in my bank account! ... plus I can't blame 'shineyitis' as I've spent very little on kit.

I've only seen the clips and trailers for this excuse for entertainment, and they were enough to keep me well away. Can't speak for the women on how they see the blokes, but from a male perspective the women come a pale second to a blow up doll. Everything is so false, lips, breasts etc... are there no 'real' women out there, where their various parts aren't in danger of 'dropping off' in extreme circumstances. You do realise all you female members of this forum are excluded from these comments. As for the smoking, just proves my point... no brains, they haven't invented a cosmetic one yet! Rant over.

The older I get, the more vivid my dreams have become. Unsurprisingly they are usually about my youth, and missed opportunities. I had one last night that felt totally real, and I woke up in quite a sweat, as I really thought it was true.
I was talking to this girl over her family gate, and realised it was the one girl I could never get to go out with me at the time (in my teens), although I fancied her like hell. I did meet her several years later, and she was happily married.
But, in my dream, we kissed, and I remember saying 'I've waited 50 years for that'... and then I bloody woke up!
Anyone else had dreams they'd like to share? I'm sure you've got more interesting ones than mine.
PS Not sure why I'm posting this, too much amber nectar... again!

Insurance companies are qualified in pissing down your back and trying to tell you it's raining. Glad you've got it sorted out at a decent price Raffles . That will keep some shekels in the kitty for a bit more of your favourite tipple. I wouldn't term the situation as the boys giving you a kicking, they were probably a bit upset and disgusted that you were being ripped off to such an extent, maybe the look on their faces wasn't so much that you need a brain transplant, more the bigwigs of these companies need a kick in the kahunas for their willingness to rip off the sometimes unaware, general public. At the end of it all, you've two sons looking out for and looking after their old man, that my friend, is priceless. Thanks striker42 , yes, I know they were only looking out for me, but did they have to make this bottle of Glenlivet so bloody hard to get into! I'm out of the cheap stuff, and now resorting to DIY instruments to open the bottle! Phew... success!

ghostrider1971 I understand that premiums have to go up from time to time, but why do they abuse their long term customers, are we just that stupid? (I guess I've answered my own question, yes I am!) Just read this from the covering letter from them... "You have been with us for a number of years. You may be able to get the insurance cover you want at a better price if you shop around"WTF...
