This is the second (& hopefully last time) I've stopped smoking. The first time I was on standard ciggies & used the patches, definitely had the phlemgy cough after about 3 weeks.
This time I'd been on rollies for about 2/3 yrs & no phlemgy cough, at least not so you'd notice, so may be the baccy has less tar, or maybe because rollies are a lot smaller compared to a standard kingsize.

Yep that works, but I think I've found where the ebay guy is getting his from www.leyholdings.com/sitepricelist_1Jan13/rubber_bungs_for_laboratory_use.htm& they've got silicon in 3mm , bit pricey but you do get 50 so should last me a while. Many thanks Rybes, I think my searches were too narrow, was looking specifically for silicon bungs/plugs & only getting the larger gear. Never thought of looking for "rubber" or "stopper" which is obviously the correct technical term . . . . who knew

Basically I'm looking for some of these little silicon plugs/seals. If anyone bought one of the Aga-S you'll recognise it from that. With a Cobra & Aga-t in daily use it's not practical to leave out the filling screws. OH struggles with the size of the screws & I'm sick of playing CSI trying to find the damn things under the coffee table or sofa. I know I could use a piece of cocktail stick but wouldn't be happy with that on a permanent basis, so was wondering if anyone had come across these in their travels on the interweb. Just to show the size, Cobra screw on the left, Aga-t on the right.

Now my 6th ego has packed up thats all 6 within 3 weeks and all of a sudden too, anyone got any spare egos For a few quid??? I've got plenty of em here - like about 10 - all caput! I tried my hand at soldering wires the other night; I was so desperate, but nearly blew myself up! How do you modders do what you do??? Most of the batts still work but the damn wiring is dreadful in some of them! Really annoyed! So can anyone help, just until my Chinese order arrives - like March - I really can't afford UK stuff atm, pleeeeease help Jules Hi hun, Maccafan recently posted that if anyone had duff ego batteries he would take a look at them & if possible fix them for the cost of P&P (to & from). I have looked for the blummin thread but can't find it. I know he's pretty busy with the current co-op, but with that many dead/dying batteries it must be worth sending him a PM to see if he's willing to take a look at couple, specially if you know it's just dodgy wiring in some of them to tide you over till you get some new stuff.

If it's brand new & they'er split I'd get in touch with the vendor, don't think it would be too much for them to send you some new one's out.

I think johanino (Jane) has used them before. Their website went down last year, but I think that was more of a domain name issue. As far as I'm aware they are one website in a larger group including efestpower, and they're all run by the manufactuers of the efest batteries, and I know alot of the torch boys use them specifically for the batteries. Also I'm not sure if there's a minimum spend, I did look at them when I was trying to find cheap batteries for last years co-op on the sigelie zmax, & if I remember it was $50 you had to spend.

Well done jeff...............don't expect it every time though.......... Yeh think I must have jinxed meself after replying on Chris's thread re the Aga . . . . 5 shorts/popped coils & constant low load msgs on the zmax, had almost lost the will to live Then I remembered had to get to 10 before I launched them both, finally got it on the 6th attempt, maybe cos by this time (literally 2.30am) I really couldn't care any more & pretty much threw a coil on . . go figure

Yep Aldi currently have the O-ring kits in, round about the £7.00 mark. Was in the Preston one today & actually picked a kit up but ended up putting it back down cos there are so many in there that will never get used This site also does food grade silicon o-rings, useful to replace in some atties, but your going to have to know exactly what size you need. www.altecweb.com/home.asp?cat=RangeB05

Not sure how silica as opposed to mesh will stop it shorting, & personally I find it more of a faff using silica in the Aga. I always leave the syringe needle/paperclip, whatever I've used to wrap the mesh wick, in the wick when I wrap the coil, Just gives the wick some support & you can get the coil tight enough without strangling the wick. Also means you can play around with the coils without distorting the wick. Only when I'm happy with the coils do I remove the support & gently push the wick over to the center post to get rid of any bridge. Give the wire one full wrap around the center post to get rid of any slack then tighten the top nut. Silica can't short as there is no metal, SS mesh on the other hand is Steel and will short, the only issue I found with silica is two of the wraps of coil may touch together which lowers resistance. The other potential issue is feeding the silica through the wick hole but wetting the ends with juice helps. Yeah mybad, was thinking coils burning out re to much power/hotspots, as opposed to shorting. Have tried the silica method & I just really struggle to get the coil in the right position on the wick . . . by the time I've finished faffing the silica looks extremely fluffy & I end up not being able to see the coil any more. Probably doesn't help that I rarely use silica 'cos I prefer cotton in the nova's, but it's just a tad too thick to use in the Aga.
