Hi there, calzone, thanks for taking advice and posting here - it's just the way we do things Glad you have found some real pleasure in the MVP Pro - great solid and workmanlike mods which are really reliable. Just take care inserting and removing the USB plug; it's the one area that these mods are a bit weak in, pop it in like you are caressing a woman and take it out just as carefully (oi,oi, no tittering on the back row!), and you should be fine!

Nice choice MrDJ - that should sort out your problem nicely! I've only seen one in the flesh once, we are a bit remote down here, but they look nice, if rather weighty, mods, and will last a couple of days I would have thought! Let us know how you get on with it when it arrives

Whilst I can bring very little to this discussion in the way of technical knowledge, I am following this debate with great interest. Bobsbeer and nanotm, please keep discussing, as it will affect us all in some form. Perhaps I could be so bold as to ask (rhetorically or otherwise), what we will actually do come May 2016 when this becomes law? Maybe things are already in motion, but is there a way that we can keep ourselves together as a community? More than that perhaps, but I do seriously wonder just how the whole affair will be policed? If I look at my personal buying habits, a mixture of local B & M stores and the Chinese vendors, with UK-based suppliers of concentrates, etc., as well as Nicotine Base. How much of this will be unavailable, and if it is still available and I choose to use these vendors, how will the authorities prevent me? I might be being naive here, but I really do think that the police have much more important things to worry about rather than stopping each and every vaper they see and checkinig when they purchased their mod, and where from. As an example, I remember only months ago the 'soft-touch' response promised by a senior officer with Devon and Cornwall Police with respect to the new laws prohibiting smoking in cars containing under-18s. Has anyone heard tell of a prosecution of this law up to now? Let's keep discussing; it WILL affect us all!

calzone - it is forum etiquette to first introduce yourself in the Beginners section, otherwise we may consider this post as I am tagging Chrissie and Perpetua just in case!

MrDJ - if funds allow, consider buying a dual-18650 mod; you'll get more power from it if required, and it's better to be running a high-power mod in the lower ranges, rather than vaping right on the limit. You'll more than double your charge-life, and some of the mods are not too much bigger. I have the Koopor 200w Plus, and it's very nice in the hand, and reasonably discreet.

jamesrd - hey, if that's the worst mistake you'll make in your vaping career, then you have nothing to worry about! Glad you are sorted now

ive got the 25R in the istick60 and at 50watts it lasts about an hour before i need to charge it. great mod for lower watt tanks but a bit naff for higher wattage. i had to charge it 3 times yesterday and i was also using my istick100 in between. Blimey, that's not long! I have a Sigelei 75w and with a 25R in it lasts almost a full day, and that's at around 35w. My X Cube II and Koopor Plus both use 2 x 25Rs too, and they last me at least a day before needing a charge, at around 60-80w. An hour at 50w seems very low!?

jamesrd - might be a silly question, but have you checked that the mod is on with the 'five clicks' method? Sometimes mods will come on automatically when charged with USB, but require turning on via the power button when running on batteries. My Sigelei 75w certainly charges via USB, but I don't know about the Mini I presume that absolutely nothing happens; no screen, no power to the 510, nothing, nada. If the batteries are fully charged and inserted the right way up, I think the only option is to contact the retailer. Other than that, I'm stumped to be honest!

crump - welcome, and just think of all the money you'll save mixing your own juices Seriously though, you have a wealth of experience here to tap should you need it, plus loads of help and guidance - remember, ask questions, it's the way we have all learnt ourselves!

A friend of mine asked me what I thought of the Diacetyl debate a few days ago. When I said that it was a load of BS and that there was 100 times more Diacetyl in a cigaretter than there was in e-juice, she asked me "How do you find out all this stuff? You are so well-informed!". I suppose we are lucky that we want to talk about our hobby (and for me it is a hobby now), and share articles and opinions amongst ourselves, but people like my friend only have what they read in the press, which as we all know is so lamentably far off the mark it's untrue. I wonder just how many more people would convert to vaping if they know the true facts rather than the lazy and ill-researched journalism that they get in the press and the media?

That's why I have the RBA decks in all three of mine - at least I have only myself to blame if the coils and wicking are naff!!

My favourite at the moment is the Velocity - the posts are on each side of the deck, and the screws are easily accessible with both coils in place. By far the easiest to build on IMHO.

chykensa I've been looking at this one as a first dripper for me - do you think this would be any good? PetriThey've got it in a lovely girly pink colour too See the post below yours from Get Off My Cloud for more ideas, toots - the posts on that Petri might be a bit fiddley for a first build, my only reservation. There are just so many around for less that £10 that you are spoilt for choice really!
