So I have a bunch of Kanger T3 clearos from Liberty Flights. Several are in use by hubby and me, another 5 are still unused. All the used ones were fine to begin with, a little muted perhaps, but after a little while (less than 1ml) they started to taste bad.
The worst is one with Lemon Meringue Pie in it, it tastes as though the flavouring is dissoving the metal - although I can't see any pitting on the insides. I've washed this one out several times and it's still tasting vile, even though it's had less than 1.5ml through it. I'm not having this issue with the same juce in a Vivi Nova though.
Other flavours tasting bad are Peppermint Licorice and Italian Cake, they are slightly different "bad" tastes but are still yuk - and neither has had more than 1ml through it. Again I'm not having this problem with the same juice in other types of clearo (Vision Rainbow rebuildable for the Italian Cake and mini Nova for the Peppermint Licorice).
Do I need to do something with these to make them taste "normal", is this a problem anyone else has had, what am I doing wrong? I know lots of people here love Kangers, but I've not heard of this happening before. Help!
ETA: these should all be 2.4-2.6 ohm, I'm using them on standard Ego batts as they don't fit on the Vamo and don't work on the mini Argento. The bad taste isn't a burnt taste, and starts out tasting fine for the first half mil or so anyway.

Robby, I placed an order on Jan 3rd for a black chrome Vamo, Ego VV, 3 Vivi Novas and 2 x 50ml bottles juice. I've not had shipping confirmation and the order is still showing as "payment remotely accepted". I'd be quite happy to change the order to just the Ego, Vamo & Vivis and cancel the juice for a PayPal refund of the $10 plus postage difference in order to actually get the order sent out. Is there anywhere on the site I can amend the order please? I can't find it, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's not there...

[glow=red,2,300]The Commission proposes to limit the amount of nicotine in solutions sold for use in electronic cigarettes to four milligrams of nicotine per millilitre[/glow] does anyone think the amount is being misinterpreted .I say this as on this forum even you hear people say they are getting nic juice at 50, 75 ect when in fact the nic juice is in fact 5.0 ,7.5 and an average diy is 1.8 as oppose to the 2.4 that is a normal cigarette or have I missed something? I doubt it's being misinterpreted, as the amount is specified very exactly as "no more than 4 milligrams per millilitre". The nic base I and many others refer to as "54" is 54 milligrams per millilitre, which is 5.4%. Ready made juice suitable for most people at the beginning of their vaping career (ie quitting/replacing smoking tobacco) is 18 to 24 mg - or 1.8 to 2.4%. 4 milligrams per millilitre is 0.4%. The fact that this directive has specified the maximum nicotine content allowable as 4mg per ml doesn't leave any room for manouvre as far as I can see. There is also the fact that the directive will not allow a container of more than 2mg. At 4mg per ml, this will be a container of no more than half a millilitre. So we're going to be stuck with prefilled cartridges, cartomisers if we're lucky. That's how I read it anyway, anyone else read it differently?

Bit late with this one, but you can look at Darth Vaper here: allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=modding&thread=14212&page=1#281638. I've since swapped out the battery (which was an Efest IMR 18650) for an Efest IMR 14500 in an AA wired battery box as I found the fit for the 18650 more than a bit tight and potentially dangerous if the insulating tape wore through. Left side is the neg wire from box to outside of 510 connector (LF now has these pre-wired which is handy, or I recommend you get your connector along with some professional advice and help from Mark at Warlords Mods, he'll probably wire your connector for you if you ask nicely). Right side is pos connection from battery to kill switch, then kill switch to firing button, then firing button to inside of connector. All the kit except the tin came from Warlords. Tin came from Candy Hero, they have lots of fun designs but they're not cheap. You do get free mints with the tin though ETA = the tin is mostly insulated inside with electrical tape, and I've hidden the longer wires under more electrical tape. I used hot melt glue all around the connector to keep the wires in place and also give the connector some extra buttressing. The kill switch is also hot glued into place after soldering.

Very unlikely Cammy - I have a DCT as well, think it works out the same resistance as yours hang on a sec... yep, Vamo says it's 1.5 ohms. It's actually one of the very first bits of kit I bought and I'm using the original carto - it's 3 months old! I've used it on Ego types from 900 mAh and never had a problem. Maybe it just needs bedding in a bit?
ETA - you did fill the carto as well as the tank, didn't you? If you only filled the tank it'll probably take a looooonnnngggg time to wick into the carto.

Cammy, I think that might be typo. You will certainly be able to use the LR306 with your battery. It's not advisable to use low res atties with low mAh batteries, low can mean anything below 500mAh depending. I think that number should be 200mAh, not 2000mAh!
ETA - the highest rated battery I have is 2000mAh, Efest 18650s I use in my Vamo. I regularly use low res atties on my 900-1100mAh Egos and Twists. Fact is, I've never seen a 2000mAh rated Ego type so I sincerely doubt that "don't use below 2000mAh" figure is accurate. You will probably find that, if you vape the same amount, your battery won't last as long before it needs recharging - but as you'll get more flavour and likely more nic from the Bauway than a standard carto, you may well find you vape less, so it'll cancel that out.

Thanks Callum for the steeping info. I couldn't wait any longer to try the Caramel & Vanilla Macchiato and Oh.My.Goodness it is GORGEOUS. Gert lush doesn't even begin to cover it. Anyone who likes a coffee vape should try this. Every coffee I have tried so far (with one exception) just tastes like burnt toast to me, as does the coffee flavouring in the Tiramisu (not Health-E-Vape) I've tried. I now have two coffee flavours from Callum, French Vanilla Cappucino and this Caramel & Vanilla Macchiato and neither have that burnt taste. The Cappucino is lovely also but this one is just so more-ish... It's my new all-dayer now. Smooth, just sweet enough for me, no harsh bitterness, "proper" coffee with a lovely depth and slight creaminess added by the vanilla & caramel. Will be ordering more of this for sure! Rybes, I'm sorry I confused you. Callum, do I get a royalty for the name Cammy, buy three bottles and Callum will send you another for free. I don't think you can specify, but everything I've had so far has been lovely. Prices are good too - 30ml for £7.49 or £8.49 (depending on range), less 12% with the discount, plus a free bottle if you buy three - super bargain.

It shouldn't be, at least, not at the strengths we use it. We can't be in possession of nicotine at more than 7.5% strength without a poisons licence - so therefore surely 7.5% and below is not classed as a poison.
I'm sure someone will be along shortly to correct me if I'm wrong, but I REALLY hope I'm not...

Another storage question - can I store ready-made liquid in the freezer as well, and if so for how long? There are lots of juices I'm unable to recreate at home (although I am going to have a bash at getting as close as possible, I already have one I might be posting a recipe for soon). I'd like to buy large bottles of these as funds allow, for long-term storage. Would it be best to freeze these in glass (thus needing to decant them and running the risk of contamination) or as they come? I'm not too worried about the nic levels reducing over time, but I don't want plasticizers leaching from the bottles into the juice.

I still have 1 x 100ml bottle left out of the 2 I bought from PM in, when was it, November? I've just put in an order for another 2 and will probably buy 2 a month for the next few months. They come in blue glass bottles with child proof caps, wrapped in bubble wrap and sealed in a strong plastic wrapper. My intention is to store them as they come, bubble wrap and all, in a small lockable tool box in the bottom of my deep freeze. The idea being that the kids won't be able to open the box, and shaking it won't break the bottles. Does this seem like a good plan to you more knowledgable peeps, or should I do something else? bought mine from pm and stored as you have minus the locked box(my child is 20 so hopefully wont drink it ) Mine are 15 and 3 - the 15 year old isn't silly enough to drink it and the 3 year old won't be able to open the bottle. I'm more worried about one of them breaking a bottle and getting it all over themselves, which would be far more dangerous than drinking it, especially for my 3 year old.

Bomber, do yourself a favour - when/if you can't taste it any more, vape on summat else for a while. I love the stuff, and even with my sweet tooth I find it a little.... I dunno, just not right, after a while. I vape it in a few stints throughout the day and have other tastes in between.
ETA I seem to recall you have a Vamo? I'd strongly suggest not going over 6 or so watts for JTR, makes it not so nice.
