Hi happyloman, I didn't get to say hello to you before so I'll welcome you now. Everybody has a preference for flavours and nic strength but (IMHO) vapers who persist with baccy flavours are in the minority. Not sure what's causing the tingling around your gums but I get the same if I smoke now days, could be the nicotine? What strength are you using? My advice is to puff away as much as you need to. One of the big advantages of vaping over smoking is that it irons out the highs and lows which you are used to with tobacco. That will help to reduce your cigarette dependance. The headache is usually due to dehydration, make sure you drink plenty of fluids. I smoked 30 a day and started with 18mg, it wasn't enough and I soon upped to 22-24mg. After a couple of weeks I was back to 18mg and happy like that for 10 months. Try a juice vendor like Joosejuice or The Alchemist Cupboard, UK based vendors who mix their own and are well respected, there are many more out there, check the vendors list. I've got some 18mg baccy flavours you can have but you will not be finding anything like GV amongst them. The best you can hope for is a close cousin to the flavours that have been killing you for years.

Hi raid, firstly thank you for your offer of help, its much appreciated. Unfortunately ive managed to damage ( slightly but noticeabley) the threads on the vamo. I must have stripped parts of them whilst trying to get the what now appears to an oversized o ring in there. I will use it until I get my next mod. Many thanks Mr p. That's cool, as long as it's serviceable and you can get by. You may find that an airflow or other adapter will give you an easier life in the short term. In many cases the threads can be restored or at least cleaned up and re tapped. Once you replace it can I ask that you don't dispose of it? Either keep it as a spare or pass it on to somebody who can recycle it.

@purple1234 If all else fails, give raid2506 a shout, he is an absolute wizard at rectifing faults. Thanks for the tag @purple1234, the correct size O ring is only 1mm thick (cross section), you can get away with 2mm or 3mm diameter but any bigger risks shorting. If you have been having problems with shorting, not firing or spurious display readings then I can have a look at it for you. Won't cost you anything except postage.

There was a batch of fake eGo CE4 batteries knocking around on eBay about 6 months ago. They were mostly advertised as 900's but contained 650 batteries and had crappy circuit boards.
Saying that I have had several good eGo-T batteries from eBay with no problems whatsoever.

thanks PM coming soon. i wouldnt wanna remove the pin though. so i put the o ring on then i put the pin and wire inside the sink is that right ? iam not thick honest lol will it still work with just a 2mm ID x 1mm C/S O ring and not the shrink ? The sides of the pin will short against the head if there is no insulation between them. If you are careful you can pull the pin out of the head about an inch, it will still be connected by a wire at the base. When you go this you can slip the heat-shrink over the pin and wire, then heat it with a hot air gun, or lighter, etc. Then stretch the O ring over the pin so it fits around the shaft and directly under the lip. When you are happy push it all back into the top cap, it'll be a tight fit.

Hi clivealive1, first off if you purchased your Vamo from a reputable UK vendor then you should have an easy warranty claim (if you put the original grommet back). The best repair is 5mm heat-shrink (8mm flat) over the pin and wire, shrink and trim, then a 2mm ID x 1mm C/S O ring under the lip of the pin. It's easiest done with the pin removed but can be done 'over the pin'. I wouldn't bother with a standard grommet as you will end up doing this again in less than a year. PM me your address and I can let you have a couple of O rings and some heat-shrink, gratis. If you aren't having any joy then you can send it to me and I'll (hopefully) be able to sort it for you. No charge, I just ask that you cover the return postage.

Quite happy to smash windows and scare grannies but not one of them man enough to sign up to defend their country! I've been on the right side of a few riots, getting bricked and petrol bombed really sucks! It's all worth it though when the hard faced f**k*r who threw it is flat on his back crying for mummy after he's taken a baton round in the chest. Or water cannon in winter....my favourite! Might pop down myself

seniorphil rather than go to all that trouble to make a reducer have you tried making the air hole slightly bigger, which you may already be aware of. Griff Why would you make the air hole bigger and airate the vapor even more? the reducer is there to improve flavour and adding more air will only reduce it.

As a consumer I say if you ordered Stainless Steel then you should get Stainless Steel.
But it sounds like another case of 'a little knowledge is a dangerous thing' for those guys doing the review.
For a start I'm not sure either of them would know the difference between Hexavalent and Trivalent Chromium. Hexavalent chromium is highly toxic and mutagenic by inhalation, during manufacturing. Trivalent chromium is benign and found in trace mounts in food and fresh water. Also considered an essential element for human life. Stainless steel used in cookware and cutlery contains about 10.5% chrome, that's the bit that makes it stainless. When combined with steel, chromium has a valence of 0, any leaching would be Trivalent chromium. The aluminium in a cheap dripper or drip tip is more toxic than chrome plating. Yes, there is lead in brass but that's under a layer of chrome, if the chrome is compromised then I wouldn't use it. Any chrome that did flake away would not combine with your juice and be inhaled, the temperatures are not high enough. Unless you are going to grind or weld your chrome plated atty you are pretty safe. Chrome is stable up to 1,907°C, you gonna need a big battery to melt that!!
BTW, their statement that brass drip tips are safe is not true, that's why brass musical instruments have SS, silver or gold plated mouth pieces.

amygx, as daveyboy37 says, think about upping your nic level to 22/24mg in the short term. I struggled with cravings for the 1st week until I upped my nic to 24, that knocked it on the head instantly. Stayed on 24mg for a couple of weeks and then back to 18mg with no troubles whatsoever. About 3 months ago I dropped to 12mg by accident when I used my sons juice for a week and I didn't notice

Or put in in rice for a few days like you would with a mobile that gets wet and then put somewhere warm Has worked for me in the past. Do you not agree robby and raid2506It's worth a try, or maybe some silica gel in you have it. The problem with moisture in these is there's very little airflow thorough the body. Removing the battery tubes can help as can pulling out the centre pin. Ideally you would pull the top cap.

Hi scargill Are you aware of any leaks in the 510 connector of the Vamo from leaky atties? If you suspect you have had a leak take the battery and battery cap off and leave the Vamo in an airing cupboard or somewhere warm for a few days and try again. The condensation you speak of could be juice and if you can dry it out, it may work okay again. Unfortunately, it may not either. Once it has got onto the circuit board it can lead to resistance paths on the board which affect the electronics. Worth a try . Even if you cannot spot or remember any leaks, a few days in the airing cupboard will do it no harm and may fix the problem. Thread robber , that was my next suggestion! scargill, obviously taking your wife with you has upset your Vamo, I hope you learned your lesson Most likely culprits at the moment sound like, moisture in the switch, bad internal connection somewhere or manufacturing fault. If it doesn't dry out as robby suggested you may have a warranty claim? Failing that I'm happy to take a look at for you at no charge, I just ask that you cover the return postage.
