Welcome Helena. Looks like you had all the good advice already.
Go Riva 1100, it will last all day (at least), easy to change flavours/strengths and will pay for itself in a week.
I smoked about 30 a day and struggled at first with a cheap cig-a-like, the Riva saved me and is still going strong 7 months later.

Hello and welcome.
I have to second the advice from pegasus, have a vape handy for first thing in the morning.
Even though I was down to one or two a day after a week on 18 mg I couldn't shift that morning fag.
A 22/24mg hit soon got me off the wake up fag that my mind craved and the smoke after actually started to make me retch after a few days and I've been on 18mg ever since.

If you have cartomisers then I wouldn't bother cleaning them if using the same flavour, just top up and go till they die!
Not sure about atomisers and cartridges as I have never used them.
I have a preference for the CE4/5 clearomiser with my Riva 1100, can't remember which is which but get the ones that can be disassembled for cleaning and changing heads.

For me it varies with flavours and set up.
Also I prefer more PG if I am using cartos and more VG with big clearos.
If I find a mix that isn't perfect for my set up I just modify it with some PG or VG and nic as appropriate for my needs.

Thanks for your kind welcome folks, it's good to be back.
Am still using one of my original Riva 1100's which I purchased last November.
The other was doing fine until it bounced off the seat whilst mowing the lawn, I didn't notice and it went under the cutting deck on the next lap!
Case and battery got mashed and I still haven't found the collar or switch, shall have to get the metal detector out there.
I still can't fault the Riva 1100, after 7 months of (alternate) daily use one is still giving a full 24 vaping hours per charge and the other was down to about 18.
The switches became a bit hit and miss but that's probably due to dirty and worn contacts.
No reason to think that the replacement I got from VE will be any less reliable.

I have to admit I hardly think about it when I'm doing it, but I know I do it differently depending on the kit and juice. Some of my cartos need a quick puff then a long pull, some get hot quick so it's little puffs. It also depends on what I'm doing, when I'm working it's frequent little puffs on a carto with some 70/30, if I'm relaxing it's a CE5 and some 50/50 vaped more like smoking a pipe. I think you just have to suck it and see  |
