What seems likely is not a ban on ecigs as such, but a ban on so called "unregulated" ecigs. Meaning, you will need a license to produce the filled cartos. What they seem to want to ban is eliquid in bottles and the sale of nicotine base.
How much of that "directive" will filter through to national law, and how fast, is open to debate. I fear it will be only months in Germany (we have an election next year, they'll behave before that) and might take a lot longer in the UK where at least parts of your government are not completely against ecigs.
Oh, and @chillervapes, are you quite sure that the cost for your health service would go down if people stopped dying at relatively young age from smoking? That's something I hear all the time, but I can't believe it. After all, the older we become, the more diseases we have a chance to get. We all die from something sooner or later. The later we die, the more we cost.

What you need is something else: a 3G router with an external antenna and a WLAN hotspot. You can put up a fixed antenna on the mast or whatever is the highest spot on the boat and enjoy your internet with whatever device you want.

Hi and Chris.. Your English is far better than my English Taing mhor! I was in Scotland three times for various reasons, almost nobody spoke English =) That wasn't any different in Sheffield, though. When I was 19, I had been developing computer games for two years and I had a publisher in Sheffield that I needed to visit to finalize a game they wanted me to change. I basically got into my car in Fulda and stepped out again somewhere in the suburbs of Manchester because I needed gas. So I entered that gas station that looked like a scene from Mad Max and in my finest school English tried to communicate with the blokes there. Fat chance =)

I was born and raised in Liverpool and have lived in Yorkshire for 20 years so I wouldn't bet on it! Heh =) Is there much of a vaping community in Germany? Actually, yes, there is. Our politicians are trying to force us back to cigarettes, but it doesn't work too well so far. I'd guess that we are around as many as you are in the UK. Our forums are a bit bigger and our oldies a bit older (Our most veteran vapers are at the six years mark I think) but we still aren't a common sight on the high streets.

Hello everyone,
I have been reading your nice Mixology forum for a while and just registered yesterday to try and maybe give something back. I really need to try the CCW flavours. I learned about them here.
To start off, here is my all day vape and "filler" mix - it's a very mild tobacco taste with vanilla that I vape on it's own or that I use as a base for fruity or sweet vapes. MTS and Bitter Wizard are not essential, so if you don't have them, just try it anyway. The woody, smokey, harsh tobacco comes from the Latakia - You can adjust it up to around 2% if you want more of a cigar than a cigarette. You can replace the Vanille CBV (CBV is a small German flavourist, his flavours are quite strong) with whatever vanilla you like. Maybe around 3% Capella Vanilla Custard or 2% FA Vanilla Tahiti, to give you an idea of the strength (These values are off the top of my head, not tried out)
I don't know where to download the nice spreadsheet you all use, but I am sure you understand the recipe anyway:
Chris T2 mts Wizard 0.3% Bitter Wizard 0.3% Latakia FA 0.5% RY4 FA 1% Royal FA 1.5% Vanille CBV 0.3%
This needs steeping time or at least a bit of time. You can use it after two days, but a week is better.
The values are for a 50/50 mix at medium nic strengths. I up the Royal to 2% and Bitter Wizard to 0.5% on VG mixes and I will use a bit more vanilla when the nic goes above 12mg

I haven't tried the Guevara yet, that order is still waiting for the Guevara Reserve. Should be on the way soon! Today, well, yesterday, I tried the Virginia for the first time, but I didn't like it at all. Now it is in the "try again later" box.

Do you make all your own eliquid then Chris? Yes, I do some myself, but I still buy a lot I can't recreate - like Alien Visions 555 or El Toro Cigarillos Naturales or Juicy Vapor Ectoplasm or Grant's Vanilla Custard - though I think I have that last one down =)

Oh, and I wasn't fishing for compliments there. I know I still make stupid mistakes sometimes and I was honest in asking for correction. I am an engineering IT and project management consultant and understandable language is a necessity in my job.

Welcome Chris, and if that's your English, I am humbled and more than a bit embarrassed to say that I don't speak a word of German! Hope you get lots of good advice and witty banter from this forum Where would one find wittier banter than in a british subculture forum!
