Ex-cigar smoker here. I draw vapour into the mouth, then slowly out through my nose during the exhale. Much like cigar-smoking, really. I do draw it from mouth into lungs from time to time, especially after chain-vaping for a while when I want an extra hit. I never draw straight from the pv into the lungs. Personally I am not a big fan of throat-hit, probably as I started on cigars (and occasional pipe too). I also find that it's rather fun to keep breathing air through my nose whilst drawing vapour into my mouth.raid2506 I think you should keep the nicest of your briar pipes just as they are. I've kept a couple of mine, they even still smell nice!

Makes my nose run if I chain vape.
Also, right from when I started vaping I noticed a very pleasant nose-hit (inside it, not outside!) when I take the first few draws after an hour or two without vaping. It soon dies down, which is a shame. I put this down to nicotine, it does not happen if I use nic-free mixes (which is very rare, I must admit).
My style is into the mouth, hold, then slowly release through nose whilst exhaling gently. I occasionally draw from the mouth into the lungs, though not directly from the PV. I don't find the TH particularly pleasant. Might try more VG to see what it is like, I usually mix at 70:30 though occasionally at 60:40.
Cheers like,
Jono

Yes, +1 for iClear16 clearos. Plastic not glass, but work well and last a long time. I got two sets from Paradise Vape (http://www.paradisevapeuk.co.uk/product-p/tatevv.htm) for £30 each. Well, one set was a gift, actually
Anyway, you get a neat 800mAh battery, wall charger, USB lead and five iClear16 clearos. They also sell replacement coils in cheap packs of five. As pointed out, these clearos are thirsty and get through your juice fast, but you have a lot of vaping pleasure from them so it's worth it (especially if you mix your own juice, which makes it a lot cheaper).

You are absolutely right Lobey. Without commitment they will never switch. Point them at the Vype website, where they can get a free cig-alike to try Ha ha ha. Vype! Oh, ok then.

lobeydosserLike you I have to think carefully before spending or lending. I have a very modest income I have hoarded some stuff from when I started vaping as a backup too.
Several people have asked me for a lead into vaping. I want to encourage them too, but not at my cost! I suggested that they buy a simple CE4 starter kit from Paradise Vape. They work ok and are better than all that cig-a-like rubbish. Their prices vary from £10 downwards for these kits. Right now they have their xmas-boxed stock at just £6 + £1.50 P&P. Fast and reliable, friendly service too. So may I suggest that you do as I do and tell them to buy a cheapy from there? You could tell them that it means they will have the kit as their own as opposed to borrowing stuff.
Xmas kits: www.paradisevapeuk.co.uk/product-p/xmas-ego.htm
As for making up ejuices for them... I am lost for words... Hang on, I've found some. How about telling them 10ml will cost them (say) £3. If you are buying your ingredients from LT it's less than £1 for 10ml to you... Of course they could just add a £5 bottle of premixed juice to their Paradise Vape order!
Cheers!

...but assuming the red astaire has no pg vg this lessens the amount of pg/vg added and so does it still work right ? The concentrate is 100% PG, this goes for all concentrates as far as I know, but could be some exceptions. Most concentrates are in PG, a few are in alcohol. If you shake up or tilt the bottle of concentrate and it is thick and viscous then it's probably PG. If it is very thin and runny then it is probably alcohol. In my experience, the alcohol ones tend to be very intense fruit flavours and not much of them is needed in the recipe - sometimes only 2 or 3 percent. For these, I just ignore their effect on the PG:VG ratio.

Well, I am still green with envy. Here in the UK it is 6C and windy. And this is a good day.

So that's two who vote for Kent already!
Should also mention that LT Sour Ruby (Rhubarb) was quite revolting. I think thay may have discontinued it now.

Clive
I've used lots of LT flavourings. Cheap, mostly good, with very fast and friendly service.
Quick list of the ones I like (remember that different people find various flavours more appealing):
Kent (a thick, rich tobacco with licorice and other tones in it) Bahrani Apple * (lovely!) French Vanilla Deluxe (more useful in complex recipes than alone) Orange * Pinacolada * (also lovely!) Strawberry * Cuba Cigar (sweet tobacco, though nothing like a cigar) RY-4 * (mix at 15 or 20%, use whilst very fresh as it seems to go off quickly)
And the ones which do not work for me: Licorice Blackcurrant Dark Chocolate Oba Oba (now has a new but similar made-up name) Anise (aniseed) Cola (terrible) Lime (difficult to make a nice mix and melts plastics) Parma Violet (very difficult to blend a pleasant mix but I do make a good complex one using it with three other flavours)
The ones I've marked with a * I use alone with just VG and PG base, they are good without adding other flavourings. The flavour reviews on the LT site are generally a good guide. The ones with five stars are usually safe bets.
You'll need 100ml of LT's 38mg PG, plus some VG which you can get much cheaper from Boots (this one: www.boots.com/en/Value-Health-Glycerin-B-P-200ml_852418/, it is on the cough medicines shelf in the shop.)
When you have been mixing for a while you might want to add Ethyl Maltol to your repertoire, or another similar sweetener, as it is very useful for adding to some flavours.
LT are good value, and I think the most expensive it has been for me is about 90p to mix up 10ml with 20% flavour strength. Go on.... do it! 90p for 10ml of juice that you have proudly mixed to your own personal taste... not bad, eh?
All the best

toots
I have had a similar problem several times. I got a sour, metallic taste in the mouth that became strong after a few draws on the ecig and completely ruined the experience. Rinsing my mouth out with water made it better but only for a few minutes. Each time I had the problem it lasted for days. At the same time, I had been brushing my teeth rather aggressively (hah) and unintentionally causing my gums to bleed. This coloured the foam when I spat out (sorry if too much info here) and left a faint metalliic taste around my gums that became unbearably strong each time I vaped.
So eventually I got a better toothbrush and took more care to brush gently. No more gum-bleeding, and after about three days the horrible taste that came when vaping had completely gone. It's never happened again since I changed my tooth-brushing regime!
All the best

I've just received a free Banana Creme sample from Paradise Vape (I have no connection with them, just a regular customer). It's a flavour I'd never tried before, expecting to dislike it.
What a pleasant surprise. It is absolutely lovely. So creamy and... bananary. After using the top 1/2 ml or so of the 3ml nic-free sample in my dripper, I added 0.5ml of 72mg nic base to the rest and tried it in an iClear16. It's very nice indeed.

NO!
In short, they want to restrict the sale, advertising and use of ecigs just like tobacco. This is anti-health and anti-choice. I suspect that the tobacco lobby have a finger in it.

I never vape in restaurants, but I really enjoyed this ad. It was entertaining and completely over-the-top. I was wondering what would happen next at every stage. Remember the old Babycham advert, portraying something "soft" as a cool thing? There was a bit of that in it.
For some reason, lots of vaping demo videos also feature men with beards. I don't know what it is about beards and vaping, but I am growing my beard again!
