Yep, Dan is right.
I did get a chance to have a go at re-coiling that iClear16. It was very difficult, as the base of the head is recessed inside a metal tube. I got it done, it took about an hour and I ended up with a CE4 type clearo as expected. Of course it wasn't worth the trouble, I just did it as a challenge. The re-coiled clearo works, and produces 1/2 the vapour and flavour of a dual-coil iClear. Obviously.
There was some benefit - it reminded me just how good the iClears are compared to what I used to use when I started vaping back in March. Well worth the heavier juice consumption. As Dan pointed out, the iClears also last for a long time. All my other iClears are still working as good as new ones. It was just one that I had already used for several weeks, it had a coil fail and that was the iClear I experimented with.

There's no need to go mad dating every battery. This is supposed to be a pleasurable hobby, not a science project. Also, lithium ion batteries (which is of course what we use) last longer if they are charged up before they are totally flat. Like Karma said, there is no need to fully charge and then fully discharge them like the old NiCd batteries used to need. There is no charge-memory effect. Just charge them up again when you swap to a different juice, or whatever. If you are interested, there is tons of authoratative info at BatteryUniversity dot com (though this site is offline at the instant I am writing, it was fine at the weekend). Also +1 to the advice to buy good branded batteries, not cheap unbranded ones. There is a big difference and you won't save money buying rubbish.
Enjoy your vaping!

Agreed. Impossibly hard to recoil an iClear16 with two coils, though I did wonder if I could do it with a single 2 ohm coil instead of two at about 4 ohms. As a challenge I might have a go some time and see if I end up with something that works like a CE4/CE5.

Sounds exactly like my iClear16 clearos. Every now and then, I unscrew the tip, withdraw it a few mm and wiggle it. A fair bit of juice flows back into the clearo. It's definitely juice, not condensation. And it tastes foul too, as you'd expect. Also it's worth keeping the angle of the clearo etc below horizontal to stop it getting in your mouth. Can't work out why it happens. For me it occurs when chain-vaping, even with the clearo nearly empty. Maybe it is simply juice that gets drawn up through the rubber cover over the coil when I suck. Still, it's a small price to pay for such a marvellous vaping experience.
The iClears do use a lot more juice, but that's why they make so much tasty vapour. I can see it would get costly with pre-mixed juices. I mix my own now and it costs me about 20p a day that way. It is probably best to mix your own juice if you use iClears. Despite the terrible MPG, the results are worth it in my experience.

Another plus 1 for the iclear16s. They literally last for months and give a fantastic vape, great flavour and loads of vaper. They are thirsty, but you wont get great flavour and vapor without converting liquid I'm a bit late to the party but wanted to echo what robby said - spot on, they are thirsty but they are definitely tasty and a very good clearo.
I got my first VV kit and it came with a great iTaste battery and five iClear16 clearos. It was paradisevapeuk.vstore.ca/i-taste-vv-v30-kit-p-586.html for anyone that might be interested. For £30 it was so good I am thinking of getting a second one. The battery is only 800mAh which is not enormous but it will just about last a day for me which is good enough. It does lots of tricks, like resistance display, puff count (for entertainment purposes really) and is VV/VW too.
Anyway, no more rambling, just +1 again for the iClear16.
Cheers!

I have the pv in my hand all day long. Must be 100s of clicks. My iTaste has a puff counter which I occasionally look at. I reset it from time to time but don't know why I bother. I think it said about 550 last time I looked, but it had probably gone round the clock a couple of times already!
Like silentscream I only vaped for a total of maybe an hour a day in week 1, then double that in week 2... now it is all the time. I know I can manage without, as I have to do so for 6 hour periods when I am in a particular office. But I vape almost all the time otherwise. It's cheap, very pleasant and soothing. No-one around me finds it objectionable. I haven't smoked for over 2 months. So I really can't find much wrong with it!
And finally... I converted another heavy smoker this morning. Well, I took her first pv over to her and demonstrated it and she loved it. So hopefully she'll keep on with it and stop (literally) burning through £70 a week of Royals.

EU Vote: I'm hearing reports that e-cigs will not be regulated and the current consumer protection measures will continue!

DV Parma violet Thought I would love this one .... didn't.
Just received 10ml DV Parma Violet concentrate. Mixed up 2ml to try it. Ugh. Truly horrible. Nothing like the sweets (which I love) or any other floral taste/smell. I did not leave it to steep, but even so I cannot see how such a thoroughly sickening, chemical taste can become appealing no matter how long it is left. Actually that is exactly what I will do - leave it right there in the bottle!

OMG, a double-triode valve. You can make a simple stereo amplifier with that, or maybe use it as a two-stage audio amp, or, make an astable multvibrator... or... or... Hey jonoclouds....us double triodes are people too,you know. Yes,you could also make a summing amp/mixer with that common anode. Imagine how big our batteries would be if we still used this technology... Yes, agreed. When my iTaste arrived last week I briefly pondered upon how things have changed. It's got a DC-DC converter in there, along with the charging-control, the head-resistance measurement, self-monitoring... so much. Our vaping hobby as we know it is only possible due to recent developments, say the last decade or two. Of course, I am very grateful for this!

Kudos to Paradise Vape. My order was picked, packed and dispatched in less than 3 hours. Next day it was here, for just £1.50 P&P. A part was missing inside a box, James responded immediately to my message and sent it out. The cost of doing so probably wiped out their margin on the deal, but they did it anyway.
A happy customer who will certainly return. I am in no way connected with this company, just delighted with their service!

I have not been vaping for long but my best buys were genuine evods, ego c twist 1100mah and kanger t3. Worst was some no name mango juice, like sucking a hoover bag with one of those little lavender hoover freshners in it... Why does nobody like the t3? I have had no problems with mine. OMG, a double-triode valve. You can make a simple stereo amplifier with that, or maybe use it as a two-stage audio amp, or, make an astable multvibrator... or... or...

... if it's E-cigs or burning tobacco it's a no brainer. Yes. What he said. I used to worry about mouth and throat cancer (I smoked little cigars). Now I vape instead and I don't worry. Sure, there may be risks in vaping and we don't yet know what these are. But tobacco risks are not only well known and understood, they are also very serious ones. I, for one, am more than happy to vape instead.

Best: Vision Spinner, in pearlised purple. Lovely item.
Worst: 20ml of Chinese-made Cappuccino flavour ejuice. Like vaping vomit. Sorry, but that is how it tastes.

Yes, +1 to freefromsmoking. Cheap, unbranded batteries have a very limited number of charge/discharge cycles before their capacity drops. Then they charge quickly and last for less and less time. I had four cheap ones, after a couple of months only one was still usable and even that was poor. Buy cheap: buy twice. I bought a Spinner next, and that seems to be much better.

Just to clarify as a few contributors mentioned a 100ml total limit. Throughout the EU there is a per-bottle size limit of 100ml (even partly-filled bottles that are larger than 100ml are banned) and a 1litre (1000ml) total limit when all your bottles of liquids are added together. That might include toiletries etc. Plenty for most needs, except of course for drinks. But of course we can buy the airport's drinks in any quantity we wish (at inflated prices) once through security! When I flew this summer, I had several 20ml bottles of eliquid (in my re-sealable, transparent plastic bag, of course!) and the security staff did not take the slightest bit of notice. They seem to be generally more familiar with ecigs this year. Also, as a point of interest, I am starting to see ecigs in people's hands a lot more when I am out and about. Usually it is the ego+CE5 kind of thing.
