Yes, well, they are all 3 of them made by the same Kangertech, and so the Protank MINI is effectively going to be a more or less evod sized tank but with pyrex like the full size Protank! It's a styling difference of course but I think that if they could have got pyrex into the evod shape then they would have probably gone there. I'm guessing it's simply the design which is preventing it. So, in this case you may well find you are about to be set up for life. I know black chrome is possible, but not sure if they can do purple chrome though! EDIT: sorry the quote seems to have mis-fired

Be careful with the Protank - although they're OK, the flavour is nowhere near as strong as with the Evod, and the draw is (to me) off-puttingly airy. I have to block up 2 of the 3 airholes with BluTack, and even then I'm not very happy with it. I use them for juices that can't go in polycarbonate, but otherwise I don't rate them much. The minis might be better though Yes, I have done some tests with my regular protank and what I found was that it can frequently vary by a surprising amount with which battery I use it with; I can get a fair and reasonable result on a standard 650mah eGo-t(ank) kit battery. I can get slightly better results by moving it to an eGo-twist 650mah where I can tweak and mess about with voltages, giving a few different effects at various settings. However the best and most consistent results are to be had by popping it on to the vamo. Like night and day really. Given the protank experience then the prospect of a mini version is very alluring, especially since having now had the evod experience!

Well, the evod arrived, and I have to say it's really, really good for the price paid! I was just thinking this could easily be my handy, wandering about, goto vape - then something else caught my beady little eyes! I've just seen the protank mini at the kangertech web site! I do hope Jason at VE has some of them on order! They are absolutely going to be The One (at this size) I reckon. Not too fussed about having it with their battery though, just the tank really. The Evod will do very nicely until then and quite probably beyond too! The drip tip is not a bad one happily. Overall, I found the vape had a slight buttery/creamy/rounded taste added to the flavour when compared with the protank using juice from the same bottle. Given my tastes in juice that is really not too bad at all either. So the Evod gets a Hermity

A friend and I were just chatting, and we got around to wondering about this; if we can add flavouring for food use, then can one add colour too? Imagine a vaping display team, like The Red Marrows or something? LOL Could be good for raising public profile of vaping too I must suppose.

Now let's see, the advice at the moment when abroad on the continent is to leave the EU if we don't get our way! We need a National Vaping Party just to get the point across I suspect! LOL Only one item on the agenda; say no to meddling in vape!

Perpetua Karma trish et al. ok, due to a number of factors, I'm trying the Evod first, so lets hope the drip tip is not too annoying! It feels like a slightly counter intuitive decision, but that's fully in keeping with the now 14 day journey into this vaping lark. It was ordered this morning along with this weeks consumables. LOL Thanks for the help one and all!

Another thing with the vapeonly..... You get 3 different heads to try. 1.8 ohms, 2.2 ohms and a 2.5 ohms. Which helps to balance out the price. I got mine from vapescape, with the code "allabout" giving a 10% discount. You are a temptress, you'll have me broke! LOL I even rationalised it that way with the three heads myself for a bit, then I thought, a fiver is still a fiver! It's less about the price paid but more about the price asked, the 10% off will apply to both! I am however compelled to note that spare heads average about £1.99 so two of those should only be £3.98 - there's a pound gone missing (to my detriment) in this deal! What mostly bothers me is that I'd be paying a fiver (ok, possibly 4 seen in another light) for a hole to put a much liked drip tip into! Really? Paying more for a lack of product, I mean a hole is a lack of material when all is said and done. I know that having the hole is of course a feature too, but really! In truth it's all a bit of a worry!

I have just filled one to the max safe level, syringe emptied it and it was a touch under 1.6ml. Thank you for that, I appreciate it greatly. I'll probably try the Vapeonly BCC first as I have yet to experience any product at all from that manufacturer, but I will be back for an evod I strongly suspect. I have to say it's hard to pass on a Kanger product for me due to liking the protank so very well. I guess a wider experience is probably a good thing to strive for in the early days though. I've been trying the Smok DCT a bit more intensively in the last 24 hours and it came with a clear plastic drip tip, which I was happy to be able to swap for my preferred style. The supplied one was not bad, but not a patch on my fave! Given it's part of the human interface or business end of the design then it matters to me how that feels. I favour ceramic as it warms nicely but never excessively. That ability to have a choice is what swings it for me on the decision of which to try first, the Vapeonly offering allows me that sort of choice, so it's a bit more welcoming in that way. The low budget choice of the evod could yet have a final sway as they are barely half the price of the vapeonly offering, but it really is that close to going either way for me!

Oh, you lot are going to have me bankrupt! LOL You see I am going to have been stopped two weeks on Tuesday, and I had a couple of mishaps along the way, and that saw some very slightly panic based shopping. I had my first atty die (had not foreseen it being quite that early) then the two batteries I had first of all started behaving a bit oddly, and not the same as each other, which made it look worse than it was in truth. Since found out one charging cable out of the two is quite possibly a poor quality knock off, while the one that came with the kit is fine, but really no great shakes either! Anyway, I also bought an eG0 Twist, and that was a great purchase which allowed me to slightly soften a rather harsh first choice of e-liquid while also consolidating what had by then started to look like an iffy battery situation at the time. I also grabbed a ProTank out of interest as they rather grabbed me on first sight! I ordered some sampler juices while I was at it. Since then I got the samples, and some xl punched cartos due to a picker grabbing the wrong pack, enquired about how to stop juice falling out of unexpected hole in side, this lead to a purchase of a Smok DCT, which I like a lot, but have decided to take a little longer learning how to get the best out of it, but once I do then it'll very likely be my number two goto for a big tank! I also grabbed some VG to cut that juice back properly and much more to my liking. Added what seemed like bare bones of kit to make that cut too. Anyway, that all started to have things settle down a bit, but then the battery thing was starting to look wobbly again apart from the twist. I then find one morning that the 3 clearomizers I got on "special" were a bit too special, one was leaking due to cracks, another looked a bit suspect in the same way but less so, and on filling I found out was DOA anyway. The third is still sealed in it's clear wrapper, and through that I can see what look like a couple of small cracks. So it turns out they were far too "special" for my taste! I realised about then that if this gear fell apart any quicker I was going to be left with not a single viable device - I was determined not to roll and use a stinky, so after much but fast soul searching, I went for a Vamo, trying desperately to get away from what was fast looking like a flakey battery set up. Vamo arrived, charged in no time on the quite a bit better than basic battery charger I got to go with it. Now that with the ProTank on top of it has made the whole thing like a night and day experience! So to shorten an already too long story I am now back to having a little more control on the shinyitis aspect of things, and trying to decide on one of the two options I outlined in the first place. I now know I quite like kangertech, however the ability to add a drip tip of my personal choice to the vapeonly BCC means I am seriously thinking of going that route, and also allow myself to explore another maker's product in the short term too. I will come back for an evod as funds allow though as they look super as well. These items are to use on the eGo batteries I have for when I want something less heavy and more easily portable. The eGo system does have some appeal to me still, and I plan to get some pass through type cells which will allow me to get around and move away from the charger cable issues and all that stuff over time. It's been a roller coaster ride this last 12 days, but now I am starting to be able to relax into the whole thing very nicely! I could not have done it without all the helpful suggestions, views and opinions I have had from this great forum! Thank you all so much!

I've been searching high and low and I can't get a definitive for the capacity. I've so far seen 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, 1.75, 2.0 and 2.4 ml (I kid you not!) Anyone know for sure? I'm simply trying to make sure I'm getting the real deal if I buy one. Thanks for any help you can offer. I'm trying to choose between this and the vapeonly mini BCC. I think they both tick a few boxes for me if not all - I like bottom coil, I like removable bottom, I like replaceable heads, I would like it to be "drip tip of your choice" friendly ideally. Hard to find one that has it all.

Hi all,
A baffled newbie here;
Bought a pack of 5 xl cartomizers, set them all up with differing sample flavours, all going fine, was enjoying the various flavours.
Suddenly, one I was enjoying stopped drawing. well producing really I guess, so I looked at mod display to see Lo ohms. Checked ohms reading, and it's 1.2, however it had been drawing just as well as all the others in the pack, and they are 2.8!
What on earth is going on there? Any ideas?
I'm lost on this one. ???

IT's now 10 happy days that I swapped smoking with vaping . I honestly hardly can't believe it myself that it was that easy - and I can assure anybody who has doubts, if I could do it - you can. I started with the ego and really like it - have just ordered an evod - and am curious about the difference to the clearomiser ( am learning 'Vapish' - the language of vaping now - and I am getting there ) Have also ordered a few more different flavours - as this is going to be a fun experience. Well done you! If every one of us that does this, can get one other to do it or at least try it too, then it will probably be the best thing any of us can do. In the last few days since joining I am finding it hard to keep up with all the replies, but I am working on it a bit at a time as and when I can! Keeping up with these lovely people is something like a full time job in its self! What an adventure we are having here! Good luck with it!

Ancient Hermit, Please don't take this the wrong way, but are you vaping correctly? Smoking friends always have trouble when they try my PV, as they try and vape like they smoke. Have you tried a long slow draw, and then hold it in your mouth for a few seconds before 'taking it back'? This will take a bit of the 'kick' out of it. Sorry if you're doing this already, but you may not be, being new to it. Anyway, to the forum - no matter what issues you have, someone here will have the answer Thanks for this, I was sort of doing it right, however it did make me focus a bit more as to whether I might be able to do it a bit better still, and it's sort of worked. Feels like it's simply a matter of relearning a little! I'll get there eventually! It does still need knocking back a bit though, it's just so very much stronger than my rollies would have been. I'm quite pleased in some ways as I think it's possible I was not wrong to double filter those rollies down the years! Might have saved me some trouble at least.

Hi ancienthermit. I also found them less fuss than filling a cartomiser - was glad to get rid od having to wait for juice to soak in, filling with syringes, condom method, etc. What a faff. Clearomisers - unscrew and fill. Done. Good luck on your search! Yes, agree completely, but this is ONLY being contemplated for trialing 5 ml samples I have ordered and those I will order in future. Would not want to go this route for every day stuff, would make it more stressful than cold turkey I'd imagine! I watched Phil Busardo on YT and learned a fair bit about them there, and at a few other places, those boge ones seemed well suited to having a few hanging around to try at odd times over the life of the 5ml samples.

If your going for a consistent vape then a vw mod will work much better As it will deliver the same power to your device whatever the coil, so evening out Your results . Well, ok, but I think that's maybe pushing things a bit given I am not out of week one yet! I did go for a VV device already though, so that's a start in that direction. Ordered that 4 days ago, so might see it arrive here in the next two if the vendors carrier of choice is any good. VWs I have seen and liked were all cost prohibitive. Maybe when the savings made from not buying tobacco start to kick in a bit more! Break even on August 14th or thereabouts, so not going to be that quick really. There's time for some research though!
