I know it's the joy of all parents, and I'm looking forward to it with my 5... I missed that pipe mod! Sounds right up my street, very portable!

Thanks for the heads up prof. I've got all those batteries, so one way or another I'm sorted... Cheers!

Jay, I dont know what it is you do for a living, and I'm guessing that at this stage you'll do pretty much anything... Find all of the employment agencies in you're area, register with them all. They will do all the legwork for you, it's the smart way to job hunt. Agencies do not charge you, they charge a fee to the employer who takes you on. Some of them specialise only in temporary jobs, but anything is good. I've used agencies ever since I came back from spain 16 years ago, did lots of temp jobs, and every single temp job I did, I was offered a full time post. I haven't been out of work for longer than 48 hours in the last 16 years, so it's worth doing. As for supplies and stuff, dont you worry mate, something will turn up You've got my number, if you need anything at all mate you know where I am. Tim

I'm not too fussed about stacking batteries in my SD... however, if I can put in there a 2800Mah Senybor 18650, then I'll be more than happy, and it'll surely last me

I've been mulling over that actually... I'm thinking that I may simply add an atomiser connection and see what happens... the full case already has a push to make switch installed... though I have been thinking of making something wearable, or with a long flexi-tube attachment... not sure... I do impulse buy (a lot), and people on here are used to that I think...
I also bought a few wind up torches that have a 3.4v battery inside them, am in the process of replacing the battery (as it was only 3mah) to something a little beefier, but not much larger in size, and turning those into a mod...

I have several for the mk2 to allow a 18650 battery to fit and they work good. The cost for me to supply the UK would be around a tenner. I posted on in your thread on the other forum with my other mod which doesn't look anything like an omega...!! PM sent, as I've got a MK2 too!

I think it's fantastic that Lisa is getting these in... I know I've just sold both my Ultra and my Ultramax, but I have to admit that a big part of that was that to get any more bits I knew I was just going to have to fork out more customs duty, and that, frankly simply put me off....
Lisa has posted on UKV her projected (but not necessarily final) prices at:-
UltraLite with RES £112.95 Ultra with RES £129.95 UltraMax with RES £141.95
So looks comparable with the US Price, but minus the duty and cheaper delivery, definitely a more attractive prospect... the cases too makes it all the more a winner.

Does anyone have one of these they would like to sell, or know where I can obtain one?

As promised, here's a couple of pictures of my tinkering... Here you can see that gone is the tiny square battery that comes with the mod originally. That battery is a 3.5v 600ma wonder, what I've put on here, simply because it was spare, was a Protected AW CR123a 750ma , now in order to make sure that the battery connection wasn't going to come apart, I was a little naughty, in that I put a blob of solder on each of the positive and negative terminals... then applied a little heat to melt the solder, push on the wire, then let the solder harden. I was especially wary with this as you're really not supposed to do this, so I wouldn't recommend that anyone do this! Once soldered, I taped up the contacts... You may also be able to see in this pic that prior to the previous operation I extended the positive and ground wires, this is pretty essential as the original wires are quite short. No simple twist of the cable cores though, I twisted them together to form a mechanical connection, and then soldered in place, and taped up. Also in this same shot is the base plate, where you can see that I've taken a Junior Hacksaw to the atomiser storage compartment to make space for the battery. Here you can see the battery in place prior to reassemble. The nice thing about this, is that it's not too invasive, and I discovered that the charge circuit still works! Lucky really as otherwise it would have been a real pain trying to change the battery! Tim
