No, I mean the coil is upside down - look at Super-Shiny's picture here: The legs then just turn around the screw 90 degrees, and tighten.

The coil looks neat - but you've mounted it the other way up to the way I put it, which meant you were having to bend the wire in all directions to get it round the screw.
I keep the coil in place by keeping it on the drill bit I've used to coil it, holding that in place while wrapping round the first post and tightening, then just swap over and do the other one, and Roberts your fathers brother. Lift the coil up on the bit at the end to keep clear of the airflow tube, then remove the bit.
It'll take some practice, but keep at it!
You can get some cotton wool balls from a local supermarket - I dont think I could resist getting some in if I'd got to that stage and couldn't vape it!

I think myepack are just offering some general advice to help simplify things. There are no problems with a 2 ohm head on an ego battery. A 1.5 ohm head will give slightly more flavour, but there is absolutely nothing to worry about with what you have.

That's it for me from china - I've been very thoroughly through the entire FT stock, and I will not need to order from them again as I have it all covered now. Honest.

thanks for all the quick replies and the warm welcome. ionian buying an mvp v2.0 and a extra clearo was something i did think of along with a smaller battery so that i have a back up as well as a smaller one for when i need it. however i thought it might be overkill for an initial set up. I'm not sure it would be overkill - it's likely to satisfy you for a lot longer than an ego battery. A back-up battery would be advisable, but you'd be better of getting a Cheap blister pack from elsewhere that has a charger included. This isn't a decision you can get wrong - the evod kit is a great starter kit - I just wanted to present you with another option to consider

The Evod kit is definitely a good starter kit, and usually it would be top of the list of suggestions, but a couple of things you say make me think you might be best of going in a slightly different direction from the start: Because of this, why not consider an MVP2 from myepack? It's a more expensive initial purchase, but the battery life is enormous and would save you worrying about running out of battery. It's not to everyone's taste, but as a former pipe smoker the extra size is unlikely to bother you as much as someone who has always smoked from a 20 deck. The evod is a good clearomizer, but needs a new coil on a regular basis - every week at least, and for me it was every three days or so as I found the Kanger coils had mixed consistency (just my experience, many have had a better one). If this will bother you, I'd suggest something from the iclear range - specifically the iclear 30, iclear 30S or iclear 16 dual coil clearo. The coils last much much longer (a month or more), and the vape quality is at least as good if not better. They are quite thirsty, and you may find you get a fair bit of juice with them, just to make sure you have all the facts! The MVP comes with one iclear30, so you would only need an extra one or two from the above list (plus spare coils which should last a long while). These suggestions would increase your initial outlay by quite a way, but hopefully future-proof your purchases, saving you money in the long run. Of course, if you have nagging doubts that vaping may not be for you, you'd be better of purchasing a cheaper kit, but the fact that you are already planning to get extra batteries suggest that you are ready to commit to it long term. All of the above are available at good prices on myepack. Juice is completely subjective, whatever kit you get, so be prepared to try a few and get some wrong as well as some right! I should stress that the evod kit is great, and you are unlikely to be disappointed with it, but my initial thought was that maybe you would be better with something a little different than the normal recommendations. Sorry for the long post!

I've not seen a kayfun mini (2.1) clone anywhere - I don't think it exists at present.
You could get a Taifun GS clone, it's relatively cheap and is 15mm at the base - but takes a bit of setting up, and the looks aren't for everyone.

My stand has arrived - I love it! Plenty of room still available for new mods and attys - those clearos and evic tubes will undoubtedly be replaced very soon Beautiful! Very jealous! Just out of interest, how much did it set you back, if you don't mind me asking? If you do, just tell me to mind my own! Not at all - it was £65 inc p&p. For the quality, bespoke design and function I think that's exceptionally good value! It will be in constant use.

As anyone with shinyitis knows, vaping gear soon gets out of hand and outgrows its first home. To combat this, I asked for for a stand for Christmas and my brother-in-law very generously offered to contribute. I had a good look around, but couldn't find anything suitable that I liked until I happened upon www.ecig-stands.com. I was a bit nervous about prices, but having looked at what they had made for other people I sent a speculative email enquiring about design, and received an almost instant and very helpful answer from Sue - this was on New Year's Eve. We discuses materials and design elements over the next couple of days by email, and all the while they were very upfront with pricing - they were eager to add the design elements I requested at no added cost, and always quoted prices with p&p which had been a worry for me as they are based in France. Once we had agreed on design, I waited for my stand to be made - they don't ask for payment until the stand is finished and you are happy with it. They're very busy and it was a four week wait, but as soon as the stand had been completed they emailed me a picture. It was exactly I had requested, and once varnished I paid via paypal and they sent it to me. Delivery was three working days from France which is fantastic service. All of the way through I have been really impressed by their communication, their pricing is IMO very reasonable for bespoke stands, and I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone wanting something that little bit special for their beloved vaping gear. More pics below - this stand is made in walnut and was £65 inc p&p.

Congrats lairey - and well done poochops for such a generous competition. It's a great accessory, although I cheat and don't use mine properly (I hold the spool flush against the side of the body to save clipping the wire until the coil is made) I never make a microcoil without it.
