I've been tidying my vaping cupboard today, and found an unopened bottle of PG. "That's strange", I thought, "I'm sure I only had one bottle of PG and I used it in my recent highly successful mixing session". A quick inspection of the other bottles shows that I opened two bottles of nic base and used it as PG.
Why can nothing go right first time *insert other rage-induced phrases here*
So, I need to rescue this. A quick look at the mix calculator shows it should be sortable, but I need some help working out the amounts I need to add to make my target juice of 60/40, 12mg strawberri.
The recipe should have been:
10ml nic @ 54mg 2ml PG 12ml VG 6ml flavour
So, first question as basic maths is failing me, what strength and ratio is this juice as it stands? Is it 18mg and 70/30ish?
Secondly, as I've added 20% too much nic, can I increase the amounts of the other ingredients by 20% to get my target mix? So I'd need to add: 2.4ml PG 2.4ml VG 1.2ml flavour and I'd be back on track?
Argh!!!!

Hot water and washing up liquid followed by a good rinse hmmm, tried that still tastes a little iffy. No dishwasher I am afraid. I did wonder about a pan and boiling up with a little liquid in there I normally soak mine in washing up liquid and hot water (not boiling) for about an hour, then give them a good scrub with a cloth before rinsing and drying. A toothbrush is a good idea as well! What sort of atty is it? It may be that there are machine residues in airflow holes etc. edit - just seem it's a fogger. The airflow on that doesn't come apart I think. Mine (a v3) seemed ok after a good long soak.

Well, this morning I took it all apart and inspected. The wick was pretty dry, obviously not getting fed enough. I swapped the airflow tube for the wider one, rebuilt it with the same cotton method and filled up with mrs lord custard cream. What a difference! The looser draw really suits it, and even with a cold I'm getting tons of flavour. Much happier with it now!

geordie_vaper - I would say if you can afford it, get the real thing because it is the right thing to do. But a lot of the clones are very good, not much difference in vape quality from what I understand (I only own the clones). There's no shame in either - on AAEC we don't go in to the rights and wrongs of clones, we just vape happily Kfl+s tend to hold their value and are snapped up very quickly in the classifieds - but obviously as more people get them (including clones) the demand will drop, and there are tons of clones out there. Having said that, I don't think you would be disappointed with it - it's a fantastic vape. If you're worried, consider getting a cheap dripper like an igo-l that you can try first - I got mine from vapeescape for about a tenner, and it gave me the confidence to make a decent microcoil/cotton build. A tenner is a lot less to worry about than the £70 (£30 for a uk clone?) a kfl+ will cost! Btw, fasttech have got a clone of the kayfun lite (no airflow) for less than a tenner - that logo looks a bit ugly, and you will have to wait, but you can get an army of them at that price! www.fasttech.com/products/0/10006473/1605200-kayfun-lite-styled-rebuildable-atomizer-4-5ml

Blownupdolly - yes, it just stops your coils getting gunky, which leads to the resistance going up and, in time, bad taste. Just a couple of pulses to make the coils glow red for a second or two should do it, if done every time you change the cotton.

I'm so happy that Mr Dolly stepped up to the plate (very well done him) and enabled Blownupdolly to get the same feeling lots of know when you vape something and its like this is what I wanted all the time, brilliant. IMO don't rush to try the next/better thing, enjoy the moment, that thing will probably be better when you feel curious, if you ever do. They are so cheap to re-wick and re coil . I have a built in dislike for waste replacing the whole or substantial part of an item that is essentially a consumable EG portable electronics with built in batteries, filter coffee in plastic one serving nonsense,... opps going off topic For you doubters it pays off, with cotton + micro coils: the coil is not too challenging and they last for ages (many weeks) and the wicks are less than a penny. (Still prefer my genesises, but Kayfuns are more than good enough to keep me off smellys for life) You have just answered a question I have, saying the cotton coils last for weeks as I wasn't sure how long they would last. I was a bit worried they would only last a couple of days. Oh well, a big bonus then!! Just to clarify - the coils last for ages, but the wick (the cotton) needs changing regularly. I change the cotton every other tank. It's simple to gently pull the cotton out, make a new wrap of cotton wool, poke it through the coil, wet with juice and reassemble - it takes a couple of minutes. It's best to dry burn the coil before you rewick as well, especially if you are vaping sweet juices.

This is my first cold since quitting - I work surrounded by students from all over the world, so the winter is usually one cold rolled into another. So far it's not too heavy, which is a blessed relief!
I've found most flavours are coming through with the aid of some decongestant (in tablet form, not in my atty) so fingers crossed it doesn't get any worse and I'll be ok in a few days...

Kayfun was a revelation for me. I'd tried Genesis-style RBAs and hated them. Now it's a pleasure to rebuild once a week. I doubt I would bother trying anything else. I have done a lot of reading about Kayfuns in the last few weeks and the overwhelming consensus of opinion seems to be that they are the best all rounder so I don't see the point of complicating things. I will still use other tanks now and again. I have my new Titanide Thermis 14 which would look ridiculous with a Kayfun on it. I have the matching tank for that, so when I am out socialising and want a bit of elegance I shall use that, but Kayfun will be my day to day out and about choice. I'm the same in that I only want to use tanks that work with the same sort of microcoil/cotton build - taifun GT and fogger are the same sort of deck, so they're easy to coil. My taifun gs is similar but a bit different, and I'll try a spheroid one day because of the rave reviews. That is, until the next big thing comes along... Whats the best thing to use a Kayfun on Dolly? Not that I am thinking of buying one ...until March anyway. A kayfun will work on anything, but is 22mm diameter so will look neatest on a 22mm mod - the nemesis is my preferred partner of choice, but it works on everything I own. The MVP looks a little strange with it, but I quite like it!

Currently vaping monkey jizz and it's so lush. MDV666 is custardy and lemon to me, even sherbet dip dap on the tongue, the wife says cream soda ! That's just an indication of how different our taste buds are.
I've got kings custard aswell but not tried it yet although is smells good when you squeeze the bottle.
Is it really that nice????? Im thinking to order some but funds are a bit low offer ordering some new mods If you like sweet flavours, monkey jizz is flippin fantastic. Let it steep, as the cream really comes out with age.

If you want something unique and custom built to your requirements, have a look here: www.ecig-stands.comYou need to email for a quote, but they're not silly money and I've found it really hard to find something suitable in the shops. Mine is on it's way to me now, hopefully will arrive tomorrow. Photos to follow!

I didn't know this, just bought the vamo v5 full kit and extra batteries from myepack so i hope they all fit. You'll be fine with the myepack efest IMR batteries - they work just fine in a vamo, and are good batteries.
