If the cap and tube need screwing on firmly, it might be that you could replace the o-rings on the tank connections to get a better seal. This should solve some of the problems - I've had several atties give me issues because of an insufficient seal.
At least it sounds as though you have the wicking working well - I just got so many dry hits with mine...

The VTR/aerotank seems a good suggestion, but the only issue might be that some people have reported the threads stripping, which would be less than ideal. The ring at the top of the mod offers some protection from this. If you don't mind mech mods, building your own coils (microcoil and cotton), and want something rock solid you could pick up a clone heron atty and a clone mod with 20x1 threads like the gp paps or tree of life. It'll set you back about £35 if you order from china, the atty hybridises onto the mod so there's no connector to get jammed, and it's a steel tube. It also tastes fantastic

300 - thanks, I'm liking it a lot although I've still got some fiddling to do with airflow. I have the gus lord and a 18350 G22, so I'm well stocked on 20x1s. It fits nicely on the lord, but the hybrid pin is too small on the 18350 and the battery rattles around. I'm going to need an extension of some description to get that to work.

Sorry to hear about Neo fred - as the owner of a total muppet of a cat, I dread the thought of getting that sort of phone call. It sounds like you're building quite an ark for yourself, if it starts to rain I'm coming round to you Hope pennylope pulls through, and Sonic (you have to name the hedgehog Sonic, surely - dying it blue is optional) develops well!

Ok ! serious question time ! Mr Wibble wants an atomiser that is smaller than the protank 3 for his Vamo (or what ever he chooses to buy tomorrow!) can anyone recomment a smaller tank for the vamo or other mod that will keep him 'happy' thanks !! He's looking at getting the airflow regulator thingambob too) thanks in advance ! Smaller as in less tall, or less capacity, or thinner? Get him making coils and the world of rebuildables will open up - this will give you both the maximum choice of tanks!

Shinyitis can strike anywhere, anytime. It stops only when the inner magpie is sated - or Chinese internet sites are banned

I have been toying with the idea of setting up a weekly photo comp (just for fun) on AAEC - but then I look at paulymeatballs' work and realize that we'll all be playing for second prize most of the time!
Still, just curious if there'd be any interest?

Have a look here: AAEC B+M MapIt looks like there's a lack of shops in that area, but you may be able to nip in to Brentford, or out to Farnborough / Crawley on the way home.

Thanks everyone I've been to work today (boo!) but I got some great vape related presents: 30ml of Triphammer Fizzy Trifle (mmm, trifle), 30ml of Triphammer Cherry & Vanilla (mmm, cherry), and a Troy X (mmm, err, cloudy). Looking forward to a birthday meal out this evening, and the weekend is nearly here!

Im using a ohm reader to build. I just finished tinkering and ended up with 0.70ohm dual coil. I put the resistance and my batteries current charge (3.79v checked with multimetre) it brings up 5.29A. So as I understand it as long as the amp result us lower than 20 using that calculator, it should be safe? Yes in theory. My advice would be don't push it to its 20A limit, keep some margin for error on the battery makers part. Edit: but yes, your current build, assuming no shorts, is safely within the capabilities of your battery.

Safe?

The Efest purple batteries overestimate the current available - they state 35A on the battery, but I believe the safe continuos discharge (ie when holding the button) is actually 20A. ronaldo can confirm this, he tests these batteries for a living. The good news is that 20A is safe down to around 0.3 ohm coils (0.21ohms is 20A discharge), which is vaping at 58watts. Unless your throat is made from Teflon, I would imagine that will give you quite the hit
