I've been wanting to try coconut for a while, but haven't managed to get any. I've just got a chocolate-mint, which is really, really lovely - just like an After-Eight, and I also bought Pinocolada - cos of the coconut in it. Haven't tried that yet...Tried amoretti, but it was way too strong. I never thought I try other flavours, and just keep to tobacco, but this vaping lark sort of grabs you, doesn't it

Thanks, Sammy! I've been told I have a permanent smile on my face. Having been on the stinkies for 30 years I never thought that this little miracle could change my life so dramatically. I walked my dog 5 miles today with my friend and she said I didn't puff or pant once. Thank goodness I found this fab forum...i'm a new woman Blokey is pretty good too.

Well done tigerlilly I often think people are wrong in trying to limit their nicotine intake especially in the early days and end up "falling off the wagon" or just not able to make the switch totally and "duel fuel". Now don't shoot me down here but I think we need to take a leaf out of the "Big Tobacco" book and ask WHY (and I'm sure they have done their user panel tests etc) that the E-Cigs like the Vype and Njoy are supplied at 45 mg nicotine strength YES 45mg!!It is because at this level of nicotine the body will absorb the same amount of nicotine that you would get from a stinkie. Thus stopping the cravings, that is why I think if you're a 20 a day smoker trying ecigs that you should start on 24mg AT THE MINIMUM possibly 36mg, bearing in mind a Ego/Evod etc will probably give a better delivery than a cig-a-like. Just my thoughts. Wow, 45MG? That's scary, very scary and shocking to think that normal stinkies could or have been that 'strong?' When I first started to think about vaping I didn't give strength of nicotine a thought - hence, obviously the spectacular fall...Maybe, like me, a lot of newbies don't realise or think about the nicotine strenth? Should be the first consideration really, I guess, but as I said, I blame my age I blame an awful lot of stuff on my age. It's a great excuse for unadulterated stupidity of which, I have become the master...or mistress recently. (either that or the vodka consumption...or the red wine...or maybe the prosecco..erm... )

Sometimes my stupidity even surprises me...I fell off the vaping wagon spectacularly a while ago. I, of course, put it down to stress etc, but it just wasn't 'doing it' for me. Then I came back on here - thank goodness - and saw the success and how peeps were loving their e-cigs and well, all the other wonderful stuff...and I wondered why vaping wasn't working for me? And then reading through some of the threads, the fog lifted and I suddenly realised I needed a stronger nicotine hit! That's all. That was it! So I got myself some 24mg juice - the Hangsen Gold/Silver and YIPPEEEEEEEE! Sorted! I'm going to put my stupidity down to age - cos I can, but all I can say is how fabby I feel now. I feel as though I am properly 'one of the gang' and I want to say a big thank you to all on here. I am so chuffed with how I feel and better still, how other people say I am now. More energy, no snoring (thank you husband) smell sweet, etc. You all know, of course, but as usual I'm late to the party. I knew this time, I would be ok as I decided to try my new 24mg hit whilst on a weekend away to Venice, which our son had bought us for Christmas. I knew I couldn't smoke anywhere in hotels or on the plane, so I figured vaping could only help, esepcially with my abject fear of flying! And help it jolly well did! I happily vaped my way around a flooded St Marks Square (yep, if it's going to happen, it's going to happen to us ) and in the hotel bar and restaurant and had a sneaky on the plane. Bliss! Not had a stinky since and I don't intend to either...My husband and I have a deal; if I break and have a stinky then he'll break his diet, or if he breaks his diet, I can have a stinky!! (He doesn't realise that I don't want to touch another fag ever again, but I'm not letting on, cos he's doing so well losing weight..) So there we are. A great big fat thank you to you all. I've also just got into my lovely Mint/Choc flavour which I have after dinner and with my coffee and it's bloody lovely

Hi enjay - I'm a newbie too, but I've been vaping 'Dunhill' , which I purchased from MarkM on here, and I love it. It is the most 'real' tasting juice I've tried, although to be fair, this is the first time I haven't gone down the e-cig route.(Sky cig, VIP, Tech etc...and none of those tasted anything like I wanted) So I'm still learning all about this too, but I won't be changing to anything fruity either, but will stick with my Dunhill for as long as I can get it, I guess.

Yes, the general unwell feelings...that is something else. The lack of enthusiasm to do anything? The lack of energy? The feeling of being...finished? Thanks goodness for this forum. It's helped so much and so has everyone's honesty. Thank you.

The only thing I have not had done to completely rid my house of stale smoke is, the carpets need cleaning. They are coming on Friday morning, so I will be totally free of all stale smoke smells. I haven't smoked 'properly' indoors (where other people were) for a few years now, but I did have my own smoking room (spare bedroom, with all windows wide open - even at -5!!!) and I did used to sit or stand at the back door to have a ciggie if no-one else was in. I'm getting my furniture cleaned next week and today I've blitzed the Yankee candle counter at our local garden centre with the money I've already save! Woo-hoo...All exciting stuff. But I'm so in awe of everyone on here when I look at their tickers and see how long they have been without the 'stinkies' and HOW MUCH MONEY they have saved! Wow... Also, and the best thing after just 4 days is my mouth is healing and that is a mini miracle!

Something that I have noticed since I've been dipping in and out of the vaping world, and that is; I don't need my inhalers anywhere near as much! Guess it's a win win situation

Oh i hope all goes well for your wife... I'll be seeing you probably Friday then, for another battery and stuff! (I will learn one day what all of this is about, but what I've got is working so i don't really care!)

Not done anything remarkable as such tigerlilly . . . losing my horrible smokers cough is lovely though and my recovery time if I get a cold is hugely better. I used to smoke come hell or high water so they always turned to infections of some sort. Now they're gone in under a week, rather than a month. That's good to hear. I've heard some negatives about people becoming more ill with viruses etc when they have given up smoking. Yep, and i could (notice past tense there ) smoke through anything too - in fact the craving got worse. It sounds gross now I come to think about it. Eww...

Well, I guess I've got some things to look forward to then lol Legging it somewhere will be great, and I can't wait to get rid of that old smokers cough. I'm also looking forward to being able to laugh and not breaking into the hacks - I'm a bit of a giggler and it will be just dandy not to sit there coughing instead of laughing. It's embarrassing, isn't it? Now I've been trying to think of a suitable answer for having somewhere to put my towel, but doesn't seem to work somehow That comment made me guffaw...and I must admit I had a little snort too. Thanks for that :DSo now I know!

Well, I've had to start from scratch again after a shaky start. Being able to come back on here and read all of the positive comments about my wonky start has really helped and given me a huge dollop of renewed determination. (Last week was, well, not overly great - but we all get them, so no excuses really...) Anyway, I have been wondering how many other health benefits you have noticed since giving up the stinkies, apart from the obvious ones? I'm hoping that someone on here may have had a problem I've got and that it's vanished with the withdrawal from ciggies, like a big puff of unwanted smoke? The kit I bought from Mark has been fab and the indigestion has gone (thanks for help again, Mark - will be back to see you next week for more supplies) but there is something else I want to get rid of too... So has anyone run a marathon yet? Climbed Everest? Swam the Channel? Become a food tasting expert? A new 'nose' for a perfume house? I'd love to know of your achievements since being smoke free

You've done real good, alright you had one but as everyone has said don't pressure yourself. If you did find yourself struggling sometimes a higher nic juice can help you through too. But just take one day at a time and you'll get there... Ps good to know there is another local about on here! Not sure if you know but one of the members on here runs a shop/stall of ecig gear in Chelmsford market by the lifts Hey gapy360 -thanks, but yes I do know all about him! :DThat's where I got my new, erm, thingy from - what do you call them? Are they still e-cigs, even though they look nothing like an e-cig? Anyway, what ever it's called, I've got one with a clear thing and Dunhill juice 18mg, which is fab. It's all really impressive and so much better than the e-cig I have been used to. He was very helpful and I was grateful to him for talking me through some stuff. Still a bit of a vaping virgin - ohh that sounds like something out of a Carry On Film...A Vaping Virgin!!

Thank you again for your support and encouragement - made me feel that I can do this. It's lovely to be able to chat to peeps that have been here, done that, and well, don't need to wear the T-Shirt anymore. This is different for me; my husband gave up the 'stinkies' - love that - about 8 years ago with no help whatsoever. And as much as I love him dearly, I do sometimes get the "Well, I did, it. So can you!" But like Perpetua, I love smoking - I link it with happy, good, times and it wasn't like that for my husband. So having you guys n gals on here is fantastic. Thank you - and i apologise now if I bend your ears a bit, or get on your pip! (I' promise I'll try not to )

Oh, thanks everyone. I think I should be Super-woman sometimes. I'm very impatient and want everything NOW or preferably yesterday I have been smoking for over thirty years - probably about 20/25 a day and I suppose I'm looking for a miracle. When I've tried to give up before, I've always had to give up drinking and then go on diet too, which isn't really happy bunny living, is it? Anyway, I'm invigorated by your kind comments and I'll see how it goes for the next 24 hours. I figured one day at a time would be my best bet.
