I'm on a round trip to Coventry for the day, but should be back in time for a pint or two

I try and give the contacts a clean every weekend. If you have brass or copper contacts your gonna have to clean them more often than Stainless Steel.

Nice work Simon, good to see a mechanical box mod. Not just beautiful woodwork, but also like the simple functionality that you've created here. I really like the mod you made for Poo, which works in series as well as parallel. I think you changed the position of the button on this one, do you think it fits better on the side, or did it have to be at the top to work in series mode? Although there is a good amount of detail in the photos, would you be okay with sharing a plan of the design? Possibly with the one that can be switched between series and paralled, some drawing on paper, with dimensions and explanations of the connections, as this is something I wouldn't mind trying to build and looks like a good first build for others. With some kind of step by step tutorial, I think you could help a lot of people build there first mod. Is the top right angled copper piece soldered to the 510 connecter?

Posting this just to let people know what not to buy. I got some Braided Cotton from Amazon thats used for candle making. It's unwaxed and natural, but it is too dense for rebuildable wicks. When we use cotton wool, it is light and fluffy. The space between fibres allows the liquid to wick well and provide good flavour. So far my trials with yarn have not been good because the fibres are too close together, which provides strength needed for a yarn, but has the downside of muting the flavour for a wick. In the Aiolos (Spheroid), I have now gone for Bastos wick, which is more stable than cotton wool and lasts longer, but really soaks up the juice to provide good flavour.

Visited the shop in Hampstead and got really nice, friendly service from the guys there. They seem to be getting a lot of people into vaping. It's nice to be able to visit a shop and get the stuff you need immediately and have an enjoyable chat whilst your there. Great service.

Also have the Tobh Atty incoming. All the above suggestions seem good, but have been thinking of getting the Orieco Storm-A dripper from Kernowvapes. It has deep juice wells, looks nicely constructed and easy to build and is only £16.99.

I like Pink Spot's drinks that give a nice fruity taste: Pirate's Booty is a nice pineapple based drink and Black Mamba is supposedly based on a Martini, but essentially a fruit flavoured drink with a blackcurrant flavour. I think you'd be able to get these from Chef's Vapour.

Looks the same as a set-up I had earlier from Totally Wicked, although as I understand it, they rebrand Joyetech for their own use, so mine was called the Tornado Mega eGo-C+. This is not something that I would recommend, its the kind of over-priced system that newbies get caught out with, when they could spend roughly the same amount on better kit. Also bought a top-coil atty from Totally Wicked, which didn't last long but was different from anything I've used since, providing a warm vape as the coils are close to the tip. You will thus get a cooler vape from (I would imagine) any other cartomiser you buy. The eGo-CC tank has a silicone seal at the bottom, which is shown in the video, where you fill up with juice, but can be a right PITA. If you don't situate correctly it will produce leaks and can easily move, either from the atomiser head or through filling, in which case you'll get gurglling. I'm pretty sure that I only recently through mine out, otherwise you could of had it. I moved on from there to Evod and Aspire BCC's, which were much better. I think the Mini Protank might suit, it has just a slight bevel edge on the top, but performs well and looks good. There are much better options if you get into rebuildables. There is a new Genesis Line coming out that works well with pipes, as can be seen in Scott Bonner's reviews. There is a new Penelope out, which I think would go with a pipe. But even better might be a Spheroid or a Aiolos Steam Machine

I found Capella's Green Apple to be a good natural tasting apple flavour. I basically followed Shiny's Apple Pie and Custard recipe, but used Capella throughout: Capella Green Apple; Apple Pie; Graham's Cracker and Vanilla Custard. If you were to follow this, I would suggest you reduce the amount of custard, as I guess the flavours are not as strong as Shiny uses, although they do give a natural taste. To me, Capella Apple Pie tastes a bit 'uncooked', but you can get 'round that by using the Graham's Cracker. I got all of the above from The Alchemist's Cupboard

I had 500ml of nic base and it went dark in color which was due to heat from the summer, i now freeze all my large nic base and keep 250ml in the fridge......not had a problem since. p.s Nicotine does not like heat in any form. Can you expand on your statement that 'nicotine does not like heat in any form,' Shiny? If its merely a question of colour change and viscocity, then there shouldn't be much of a problem, however, you seem to allude to something more, or at least that's what I'm reading into it. Just had a look at a spec sheet on nicotine and there doesn't seem to be much of a problem of storing it at the temperatures we would expect in the UK. However, I'm going a step further and thinking of nicotine heating up for instance in an ultrasonic bath when mixing, the water tends to get hot after about an hour and by hot I mean around the temperature of hot water from the tap, which as an amateur without scientific knowledge still looks okay to me, well away from any problems of decomposition. Also another factor that I'm thinking of at present are ceramic donuts that heat up to very high temperatures. Do you think there may be a health hazard connected with vaping a nicotine solution at very high temperatures. On Poo's video, the temperature went of the scale, when measuring the heat of the ceramic.

Have you tried any other tobacco flavours from TripHammer, Sally? I've only heard great things about his tobacco's, but have got side-tracked and not got round to testing them yet. Would you be interested in doing a Triphammer's tobacco review? I was very tempted to try Emperor and Puros Santa Clara. I like the idea of his limited editions that create new flavours for regular customers to try. Also think that the presentation of the eliquids on sale is really good on his site, which is another point worth mentioning in regards to Mrs Lord. Not only have they got good juices, but they have an interesting concept to the store, which I find appealing.

I love the Navy Cut, good strong tobacco flavour that blends really well with the coconut. Player's Navy Cut was a strong tobacco and I think they've managed to recreate that without it being too harsh, the other flavours helping to take the edge off it. Whilst I couldn't taste the rum as something that stands out, there is a nice flavour that mediates between the tobacco and coconut. Bags of flavour, imo. Would definately buy again.
