I have written this already this morning, but when looking for answers, it wasn't there. Flippin typical of me. So here I go again.
After the tank is about 2/3rds full I lose the flavour. I have tried all different brands. In fact I don't even want to think of the amount of money I have spent trying to find the best brand with the best flavour. This week end I bought another 3 bottles from a posh shop. I got to sample the flavours in the shop and believe me they were to die for. However, same old story, when I got home and used them one third down and flavour disappears. Last week I bought a Kangertec, because I thought it was my C4 clearos which was causing this, but no this is still happening. I read somewhere that it is a common problem because the liquid is being heated up lots of times and therefore loses its flavour. I haven't heard anyone else complain about this, so what do you think is my problem. I fill 2 clearos so that I can move from flavour to flavour but it makes no difference. How can the samples in the shops taste a million times better than what I get at home. Thanks all.

Thanks everybody, you are all great, don't know what I'd do without you. After hearing about the juices which can melt the tanks, I got a mega fright. I threw everything out which might be suspect. I need to study the list Perpetua pointed me to. Thanks Perpetua. I am wondering though if there's any juices that any of you avoid.

No it was a starter pak, evod, there were 2 batteries, 5 extra coils, 1 charger and two tanks, already on the batteries. I have been reading about some e juices cracking and melting the plastic tanks and hoped I had a glass one. If I haven't, could I put a glass one on. Thanks for all the help.

Hello everybody, I just got a new Kangertec yesterday, but because the tank is the same colour as the battery, I can't tell if its plastic or glass. There's a wee window but I can't figure it out. Can somebody here please tell me. Thankyou. ???

You must need a measuring device or something otherwise how would you know how much of each thing to put in your bottles? Ah right, steep, that's a new way of using that word, thanks. Price sounds good, but joose juice are offering 10ml. for £1.49 so same same there really. Babs just gave me that link, and moneywise seems good to me. Thanks Babs. Just ordered some menthol, and note what you say about the strength. I have some (grusome to me, lime and lemon) so maybe could dilute it with that. Oh my you are all so amazingly clever and knowledgeable. I have learned a lot from you all this afternoon. Karma, I answered your question re the video, but it went somewhere else, don't know where, told you, nothing is simple for me (or maybe its me who's just a bit simple). That's probably it. Maybe, just maybe in the future, unless I give up smoking for good, (chance will be a fine thing), I'll make my own.. Or if this legislation comes into being in 2016, might have to make my own.

NAH, that sounds too simple. All experts make things sound simple. Then when you try yourself you find out it isn't! For instance to me, steep means putting something in water and leave for a while. I'm sure in this instance it means something else. I do like the sound of cheaper though. Being scottish, cheaper is a magic word. Thanks for your input, I will take a look just to see what you are meaning. I need to know basics though. What is pg and the other thing. I understand flavours naturally, who doesn't, but I'm sure there's more to it, ie where do you get your supplies and is there a big outlay at the outset. Ach I don't suppose it matters, I won't be doing it, just curiosity, which killed the cat.

Did you reallyClivia???? Not that I am going to do it, because I don't know what pg is or what the other thing that goes with it is either? BUT being curious, where do you buy the ingredients and how do you know what to put with what, or is their a recipe sheet or instructions. Are there special ways to mix it. How do you keep it and finally why do you want to mix it yourself? After answering, your time's your own

Would you please tell Ian I am very sorry for wot I stole . The upside is, whatever was in it was so good, I'll have to go back for more. I don't think the wall charger is faulty because the two old batteries do go 'green' even though the new charge only lasts a few puffs, so I assumed it was the batteries. I have had them since end of Dec. after all, from Vaportorium. They were their own make, as were the screw on tops which seem to be o.k. There wasn't hardly a puff of vapour, so I must have needed a new battery. Can you charge them overnight, or would that be too long or dangerous in some way. I can bake a mean apple tart and make bread, but I think I would draw the line at making my own liquid. Why have a dog and bark yourself? As for helping newbies, don't think I'll live long enough to know enough for that. Got to love your sense of humour!!!!

It gave me a little bit of renewed 'I will do this', reading all the replies, thankyou to all. I intend to follow the link someone has given because maybe I don't have the right kit to keep me satisfied. Actually a funny thing happened to me today when I took the battery back to the market where the laddie is an absolute star and wiling to help as much as he can. My screw on top thingie is green. The battery I returned is yellow. When the laddie (forgotten his name) gave me a new yellow battery, I picked up the green thingie, screwed it on and went back to the car. On my way home I picked up my new battery and green thingie for a puff and wow! it was menthol!!! Now I have never ever bought menthol. So where in the name of fortune did that come from????? Then I looked down into the pocket where I picked up my magic stick for a puff and there was another green thingie. OMG............... I must have picked up the laddie's green thingie he tested the new battery with. I stole a green thingie!!!! I know he has a mobile number because it was on a board, but I didn't take a note of it. Conclusion, one I am a thief, and two whatever strength that menthol is, I want it!!!! I don't think I will come to the meet, I don't know anybody, not that I am shy, but I will see and listen to what everybody tells me, go to shop and spend way too much money on things I probably don't need in the quest to keep on with this rather than back to the rollies, which I know is the wrong thing to do (but tempting none the less). Thanks for the congrats. I believe I deserve it, 8/9 weeks without a roly is an olympian feat for me. Back to this lovely menthol which is probably as strong as it gets, I have no idea, except it is great. BTW. I went down to 8mg from 18mg, do you think that was too much too quick. Oh yes, yipee, don't need to do all that cleaning, now that's great knowledge to have, thanks.

I have been reading loads on here and to be honest I haven't a clue about custards and evods and ?????? all the other foreign names to me. Anyway, I have just two batteries, and four thingies for screwing on (clearomisers)? and I buy bottles of liquid in flavours which sound nice to me. That's been great actually. I haven't had a roly since before xmas and I can't believe the difference in my overall well being (I am 69 going on 39). My skin is better, I sleep better and I don't smell. Didn't think I did before, but I must have done. Anyway, I am on here for some moral support because, not only do I not understand the lingo on here, I am pretty fed up with the faffing on. My two batteries must be giving up, as they don't last long, so I bought another (2 hour bus journey) from the market and when I got home it won't charge. So another 2 hour bus journey to take it back. As for liquids, well, they seem nice for the first couple of fill ups then I don't taste them anymore. I am fed up with cleaning the thingie out every time I refil and the needle bottle as well. Then I have to leave it on the radiator to dry. Now I think I am looking for an excuse, because I am thinking about my rollies more and more every day. It's the thought of trying to track down cheap baccy again which puts me off. I sold my stash when I started this thinking I would never touch it again. I wish I hadn't now. I am thinking this is all too complicated for me. The more I read the posts, the more scientific it seems. What was the news item on Look North last night re something to do with vaping being illegal. I didn't catch it all, but I am thinking this is the final straw.

I justgot 4 different flavours from a place recommended on here for equipment. Each one tasted the same like xmas mulled wine. They are all in bin now. They were advertised as their silver label their cheapest. Actually one of them, the strawberry was slightly dearer but was the same underlying taste of hot wine. Anyone else experience this. I did message them as I was miffed at paying sixteen pounds for four inc. Post, have written it off just wont buy there again. Any tips for nice flavour and good price vendors please. Ilove this place so many great people with great advice.

Ah now that sounds sensible to me, and I will do exactly that on Wednesday. I suspect there are two problems, one being my own stupidity and the other maybe inferior usb's. I will try to add coils to my little order by email, good idea. Oh and thankyou for the utube idea. Yes, seeing something done is so much easier than reading instructions. Anyway I think I am so smart I don't need instructions. It's only when things don't work for me, I turn to them and wonder why I didn't read them in the first place. Actually it is lack of patience, I need everything yesterday or the day before that preferably. I wish I could buy you all a nice big cream cake.

Taking all the advice, I have sent for iclear16 clearomisers x 2, but couldn't see the 16 dual coil heads on the myepack site. I probably would have to find out how to use them too. I am wondering what the 16 is. I checked the usbs and there is no light on them to indicate whether the battery is charged or not. I phoned Vaportorium and asked about that. Guess what he said, yes, bring them in and I'll check for you. It takes me over an hour's journey to get there, but the upside is, from the info., you kind folk have given me, is that I can go into Carlisle market and meet the experienced man Ian you told me about. Come to think of it, maybe he would have those coils and could show me how to use them. However, after 2 sleeps now, I think I will have to get something simple and reliable, nice to look at, gives a reasonable amount of vapour and all of that without breaking the bank. If someone would be brave enough to suggest something to me, I would be eternally grateful. You are such a lovely bunch. It has been worth all the hassle to meet you all.

Oh a vape meet. What's that please. Would be nice to meet some folks with experience and knowledge. DJS, I paid £12 each for two batteries, 4 clearomisers at £5 each, 3 bottles of juice at £5 each and a wall charger at £4. I think at the total of £63 I could have done better elsewhere, but hindsight is a wonderful thing. I could kick myself for not finding this site before I took the plunge.
