I find the Tornado produces much more vapour than the 901 SD MKII and a stronger throat hit. The downside is the price of the batteries. Fox Surely, Foxy, what you are saying is you find the 510 atty produces more vapour and hit than a 901 - what's it like if you put the same atty on each? (I've found that big battery devices are all much the same used with the same atties myself)

Well, I've only used these 1200mah ones and the "official" ones. Both work - I've had no problems with the KD ones and they are good value

Perf - I have a Super T device (Super Six) - and have had it since January (I have published lengthy and positive reviews of it) Just because I like my SDs doesn't mean I can't have anything else... (Having said that, with the SDs and Super T, I have no inclination to buy anything else - because they are all still working beautifully)

Yes those batteries are fine with the SD Mk2 and will charge in the normal SD chargers

If you are using 510s (as I've said on the other thread), you will get less battery life than with a 901 - perhaps that's it?

Not having a good time with my SD MKII. Only put a new charged battery in this morning & it's feeling low on power already. I would be amazed if an SD battery lasted me more than 2-3 hours I'm talking about the 880mAh Spiderfires; the 1000mAh I bought from Kaidomain seem to be duds, the only one I've got life out of lasted longer than the 880s - but still not a whole day. scylla I'm really sorry your KD batteries are duds Scylla - I feel kind of responsible. With the Mk1 SD I've always found the purple Spiderfires last 4 or 5 hours with a standard 901 atty, the yellow 100mah ones last me more like 7 0r 8 (like the Mk2 batteries). BUT with low res 901s, the batteries will last less time. (510s draw more current than standard 901s and so will drain the batteries faster. Similarly LR510s will drain batteries faster than LR901s)

Sorry, but I don't rate the Kaidomain batteries. I used a fully charged one & by the evening the power was close to nothing. hissie - do you mean you put one in in the morning and it had run down by the evening? I vape pretty solidly through the day I would think 7 or 8 hours from a battery was pretty fair? With normal atties that's what I get from Mk 2 SD batteries, with LR atties a lot less more like 4 or 5. I've found the Kaidomain Mk2 batteries last me longer than the "official" ones do.

Well said raggy My preference for the SD is based on my experience with it - it is simple,it works and it is very durable. As I type I'm holding an MK1 SD bought in April 2009 which has been in daily use since then. I have never had to mend/replace anything - I just buy it atties and batteries...

Many thanks for the replies. I take it I can use any 901 atomiser & 510 to 901 adapter & not just tornado make? Yes - you need a 510 battery to 901 atomiser adapter. You can then use 901 and 4075 atomisers

I find that vaping at a higher voltage does 'dilute' the intensity/sweetness of a flavour, I'm not sure if others find this or indeed if it is supposed to happen! I was finding this in general with LR atties, but I've just found one liquid where the reverse is true! See: www.liberty-flights.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=1966.0

I've not tried it - most long term vapers have found that cleaning atties is mostly a waste of time though - I certainly have and don't clean atties
