Resistance only really matters on non-variable mods. Not quite - there is still battery life to consider, speed of response (7W on a sub-ohm coil will take ages to get going). Personally I tend to think resistance first then worry about what diameter/wraps gauge to use to fit it on the atty in question.

Ooh, ooh, a MTL forum just for me OK, so, I'm a confirmed MTL "tootle vaper". Tried DTL and sub-ohm and wasn't bothered - whilst there is a certain pleasure in chucking clouds, it isn't outweighed by the annoyance of having to mix lower nic juice, reduced battery life, faffing with different coils and getting the airflow down low enough for a decent MTL draw. But that's just me. Anyhoo, I've gravitated to simple round wire coils 30AWG around 1.8 Ohms usually running at around 7-7.5 Watts. I have played around a bit with lower resistance and higher power but don't really see any benefits. I have ventured into flat wire, which is useful because the coils are a bit more physically robust but they don't fit nicely into a lot of atties and certainly not into rebuilt stock coil heads. I'd like to see a high resistance clapton (I'm sure it can be done) just to see if the claimed extra surface area really delivers. So - what do others use for their MTL sweet spot?

The UK is a bit cleverer and are letting vaping go on cheap for now. Give it 10 years when everyone vapes and watch the tax and control then. Everyone will fall for it and they are rubbing their hands. People are just so gullible and evil is winning right now imo. Sorry to get so deep and weird but I just see so much BS in the world 😢 Well, they spent millions of research dollars trying to find something wrong with caffeine as a pretext for a sin tax. After many years they finally discovered that it keeps you awake! Otherwise harmless. Hope springs eternal. To the "one more ban from nirvana brigade" we only need cite the banning of cannabis - end result: skunk and now spice. Great job guys.

The doggy style tank seems to get great reviews but I was always put off by the fact its not a glass tank. I worry about PC or other acrylic/plastic tanks breaking down with tank cracker juices ?MTL I use the Kayfun MK3 mini and KF3 mini plus tanks but the Kayfun Prime looks like a better build deck. Yes, that can be a problem, as is the fact that plastic screwed onto a metal base is going to break sooner or later. However, spares are available and it is a great tank, so worth the extra outlay.

Mix it with some water and pour it into an ant's nest or spray your greenfly with it. It is a good non-systemic insecticde and will wash off in the next shower and biodegrade.

Top stuff. I had my last fag about a month after joining this site (was dual fuel for a bit), so that's about 6.5 years now. First couple of years I had the occasional craving but got over it and the tech has moved on so far I don't miss it one bit.

Ah cmon i cant be the only one who gets annoyed by this? Lol Me too - Spent ages scrolling through FT listings looking for single coil RDA/RDTA/RTA, Sometimes the only way to tell is by squinting at the pictures of the build deck. I would also like to see MTL/DTL filters too. Life is too short.

you guys really aren't doing very well at talking me outta this dry firing the coil isnt to much of a biggy as ill be using it for mtl so spaced coils will be the order of the day in ss its becoming more of a need as if you take the drip tip off it looks like a batt pack so makes it ideal for work i take it any airflow adjustment is done at the bottom of the coil Don't bother mate - overpriced, outdated faffery. Owzat!

I guess it would be easy enough to knock up your own blends of PG/water (20/80 -> 80/20) with no nic or flavour and test in a dripper to see which gives an "invisible" vape.
I'v often wondered what a 100% water juice might taste like, probably horrible...

Thr good news is that you don't need to recoil very often if you have a simple round wire coil. Just gently remove the old wick, dry burn and rewick. I've had coils that last several months that way. They do eventually break though.

Update - I'm coming to the conclusion that the problem is the tanks not the juice. Put a fresh one on and filled it with Inawera Raspberry and after just two days it is cracked and crazed to buggery. It wil probably disintegrate when I unscrew it to refill. Will be investing on some PC ones instead. These tanks are pants, don't waste your time with them

Just to clarify it was the PMMA tank that cracked (using the FT spares, perhaps intended for the SJMY clone but not necessarily made by them). Didn't yet risk an original SXK polycarb one, but I have found they tend to stress crack around the chimney ring. Both of my clones are SXK but I bought some spare PMMA tanks based on the above. O for a glass tank or even a PEI/ultem one. shiny - I found that DV mentholyptus made a nice blend with cherry flavourant. Think cherry tunes

Vapesplainer: I am a great fan of Decadent Vapours mentholyptus concentrate which I like to vape to clean out me pipes, especially in the winter time. I realise this probably puts me in a special interest group of one, but hey ho. Well I was ordering from Dark Star and saw some Inawera Eucalyptus with Menthol and thought I'd give that a whirl. It is very nice at 10 % - less eucalyptus and more menthol than the DV version and overall not as intense, but the menthol side does not give me heartburn as so many menthol flavour juices do. A word of warning though - I put it into a Doggy clone with one of the FT acrylic replacement tanks ( the original PC one had stress cracked around the chimney ring). All was fine until I came to unscrew it for a refill and the tank literally cracked and crumbled to bits under finger pressure. So be warned it seems to be an acrylic tank cracker - which is a bit limiting for me cos I love my Doggys

Freedom vape did a nice mango - it was my first love when I started vaping. Tried loads of others which were either rank or tasteless. Now mix my own from TPA mango concentrate which is just like the old FV stuff - it even goes pink on steeping.
