I'm currently using an .7 ohm 8 wrap twin strand parallel coil from.32 Kanthal on my UD AGA-TD, mainly because it produces a longer coil for the resistance I'm after and the top leg ends up at the right height for the top of the centre post. I've had this build on the atty for a week now and the coil shows no sign of gunking up. An interesting side effect is it makes the mesh wick act like a flue, the vapour shoots out of the top like a car exhaust rather than spluttering from all sides, weird! Interesting! Think I'll copy this as I'm still after a Genny arrangement that does n't gunk so quickly! Wot Juice You using? My own mix. 18mg in a 75/25 VG PG mix with 8% Golden Rollie flavouring steeped for three weeks or so. This mix normally gunks coils within a few days, so it's the usual remove wick and burn off the coil. I'm still monitoring the current coil build, but it seems to be improving over time and the atty is delivering like a champ.

Arrived this morning, first impressions are very good.
I can't fault the build quality of this so far, apart from some traces of machine oil the atty was as clean as a whistle, the threading is all good and the parts fit together well, I'm especially impressed with the fit of the drip tip, very snug.
The deck is well made with no rough threading or on the edges of the juice channels. However the post screws are tiny, it's just as well some spares are included as I can see one or two getting lost easily. There were four spare terminal screws, three O rings a, a spare fill screw, three wicks, and the usual blue screwdriver (which is too big for the terminal screws) supplied.
The main gripe I have with this is the positive post, the screws aren't long enough to grip the wire on the supplied wicks which are .23 Kanthal over silica, so I made a couple of 8 wrap 2.5mm coils using .32 Kanthal.
The 1st coil goes in easy enough, but the positive leg on the second is a PITA to install as the 1st coil obscures the hole in the positive post, some judicious bending was required to fiddle the bugger in place, trimming the excess wire on this leg is also a mission as there is little room to get cutters in.
Once I had dry fired the coils and moved them around to more or less the right orientation I wicked up with cotton and reassembled the atty.
WOW! This thing is a vapour monster compared to my other atty's, the deck and chimney design is similar to my Aqua atomiser (dual coils and juice channels) but I guess due to the better airflow arrangement it's much more efficient, it's also way easier to fill, no leaking whatsoever.
This was a fast and dirty first build but I'm sure I can get more out of this little gem over time.
Would I recommend this atomiser?
Yes but with reservations over the post screw issues, for anyone wanting to use a thinner gauge than .32 Kanthal a twisted wire coil would have to be made to fatten the coil leg up enough for the positive post screws to bite. Focalecig need to sort this issue out as I can see a few complaints heading their way.
Overall though I'm pleased, and for just over a fiver it's an absolute bargain.

I use my teeth, however my local A&E are getting fed up reconstructing my upper and lower lips. So I guess I'll be embracing tweezers at some point, maybe SWMBO has some eyebrow jobbies I can borrow?

I really, really, wish the Chinese would refrain from screen printing meaningless gibberish on mods. It would save loads of people taking them back to bare metal.

I know of a bloke 'oop north' that machines aluminium tubes in a garden shed with a converted wood lathe, some of his home brew machinery would make yer hair stand on end. He gets the job done though, and the end result looks very professional. It's amazing what can be done with limited resources and some willpower, like the 'Fonly lathe' A Dremel and some scrap wood and metal, perfect for turning drip tips and small parts. Details

I tried to clean my bits and pieces in an ultrasonic bath once, I ended up in hospital after straining my back trying to leap up on the worktop and squat. It wasn't half embarrassing I can tell you.

Destroyed a second Kraken tank last night, I'm really unlucky with glass tank atty's. Or just plain clumsy.

Moral and intellectual superiority, or the notion of it is largely to blame. The 'high and mighty' are brainwashed from an early age that they are superior in every way from the 'plebs', they exhibit a totally different moral compass.
Those that are destined to shape laws and mould society have no qualms when it comes to disregarding the rules to suit their own agenda, there is something deeply rotten and disturbing within the so-called elite.

I'll give it a few weeks before the battery replacement screws strip the threads in the housing, p1ss poor design IMO.

The Kraken is my favourite atty to date, easy to set up and maintain.
I build my Kraken with a nine/ten wrap of.32 Kanthal over an SS mesh wick. When the coil gets a bit gunky I just pull the wick and dry burn the coil, pop the wick back in and it's good to go.
