Been using a pedometer for a few weeks now. After testing accuracy for a while and verifying it, I began using this phone app to track my step count per day. And..... daily step count is 18-24k per day. Read on an NHS site that the average UK punter does 4-6k a day and the average yank is around 3-4k a day.
Came to the conclusion I walk to much at work and should teach from behind the desk more often (who am I kidding, not gonna happen). Anyone else use a pedometer and can share their step count estimates with me? I'm interested in knowing if I' really walking so much more than the average bloke(or lassie), or does the NHS think we are all lazy sods!

good call taz, pinky wants a new mod for out and about, single 18650 50w or so, and I've got a few mechs, some subtanks and a subbox mini we dont use that we can drag along.

Hope so taz96 , we're hoping to be there about noon, right after PinkyPuff has her customary hazelnut croissants on the road up.

Good point letsavit , Ive seen this very issue on the -ve poles on cells preventing mech mods from firing (the ones with large -ve contacts at least). All it takes is the shrink wrap to be 1 or 2 mm off and a terminal can be covered enough for connection issues.

A strange one to be sure Clivia. I own an I2 and an I4 and have never had issues with flat top cells. There should be a bulge in the centre of the +ve charging contact to ensure it contacts the +ve terminal of a flat top cell. If this is not present I'd be worried about having a fake unit. Which cells are you using by the way? I've tried 25Rs, vct4/5s and a range of efest flat tops on the intellicore chargers with no issues. Any chance you could post an image of the +ve terminals on your charger for us to have a nosey at?

Well I guess I found where I'm gonna order non slip tape from. Wax flying off wood lathes and settling on vinyl floors is a match made in slippery heaven. Order incoming next week.

Having cells in series makes the output voltage the sum of the cell voltages. i.e. 2x LI-ion cells in series = 2x3.7V=7.4V Having cells in parallel does not increase output voltage hence 2xLi-ion cells in parallel =1x3.7V=3.7V
We all know Mr Ohm's law that V=IR, so with the fixed resistance of the atty you are using, if the voltage doubles (or triples on 3 cell series mods) then so must the current.
Put shortly, series cells increase the voltage and the current drain, parallel cells do NOT increase voltage or current drain, but increase the capacity (in mAh) of the setup.
In power tools it's common to see a combination of series and parallel to achieve the required voltage and to increase battery life to an acceptable standard.
This applies to all mech setups.
Regulated setups are somewhat different as the chips involved handle the output. It has even been postulated that series regulated mods such as the sigeli 100W provide longer cell life due to the voltage step down technology being used is more efficient than the step up technology used in parallel regulated devices.

As long as you are fully charging cells and not partial charging them it shouldn't matter. There can be differences between chargers of the same models or even charging channels on a single charger due to tolerances on components (most consumer electronic products use 5% 10% or even 20% tolerance resistors for example)
To be extra safe charge paired cells on the same channel of the same charger (you can use different channels or chargers for each charge, but keep them paired). I personally don't think this is required though since any decent manufacturer will ensure that charge cutoff is accurate enough.
Your question essentially boils down to one factor, speed vs capacity.
Many 4 bay chargers actually charge slower if 3 or 4 cells are charged at once. For example, the nitecore i4 and d4 charge at 750mA for one or two cells, or 375mA when 4 cells are charged. What is more important to you? Charging 4 cells at once, or two cells faster. I routinely use a 4 bay charger at home, but a 2 bay at work since I want faster charges at work but the convenience of not swapping out so often at home.
The two most important practices for paired cells are: 1. only use them as a pair to ensure paired charge state and wear due to charge cycles 2. Alternate the cells in your mod as the wear on the first and second cell may be different.

So it is happening and who's coming along this month? Need some notice to ask the Granny to babysit for the day. gill2009 , taz96 , kal-el1875 , striker42 , macmagoo , Nosmo-King , vereybowring , enjay , Bluefish ...... the Mrs can tag others in the morning (need to get to bed to go to work etc) Sorry we've missed the lest two, but our belved granny hasn't been keeping too well of late and we didn't want to impose on her.

At around the 20-50w range a plume veil is fantastic. So many airflow options. Tight for flavour, loose for clouds. You can adjust eh airflow above, below and across the coil and they are VERY easy to build as single or dual coil.

It's nearly impossible to make a calculator for coils such as the Clapton as there are so many variables to include. The pitch of the wraps and how tightly they are wound around the core wire will make a difference in the overall resistance. As for twisted wire coils, the pitch of the twists will alter the overall resistance as it varies the amount of wire being used thus altering the effective resistance.
Basic single stand coil resistances vary by 5 factors assuming all coils have the same target diameter and wraps (wire purity, pitch of the wraps, how tightly they are wrapped around the mandrel, leg length). Multi wire coils also need to consider the wrap pitch and how tightly outer wires are wrapped around the core wire. And all types have variable resistance due to temperature.
The best advise I could give is to use a calculator to approximate your coil of choice then adjust up or down by a wrap to suit how you are building your coils and/or buying your wire.

In our busy lives we get too caught up in work, in our husbands/wives and kids. We all too easily forget our parents, and to repay the love and kindness they have shown us.
As son as you can, give mum and dad a call, tell them you love them, visit them and share a hug like you used to when you were a child.
And take a kraken and nemesis for them if they smoke!!

Damn, that deck design is gonna lead to significant power loss in the legs of the coil. Looks like an atty that really needs a large diameter wire with many wraps to build decently.

Sorry to hear about your problems. Cyber criminals are quite honestly the scum of the earth and should be shot. Hope your hosting company sorts this out ASAP.

I really don't know where to begin. The trade vape supplies terms of service and returns policy go against so many of the clauses in the consumer contracts regulations and the consumer rights act. I highly recommend that anyone with a problem with an online order or even a bricks and mortar purchase read up on these regulations. Suppliers seem able to put whatever they want into their policies, but under no circumstances can they take away your statutory rights.
On an additional topic, many companies such as sports direct added items such as magazines or mugs to your order automatically and charged for them. This is now illegal.
